I’m waiting for the 4” - 4.25” Rock you can carry cuz it makes a perfect carry platform and 5.7 is more than enough for anyone’s carry option. I sure in the hell wouldn’t want to be shot by this. I’d trust the round and platform for defense for sure 👍 🤙
I wanted to dabble in 5.7 for a bargain, and it far exceeds my hopes. I have shot the FN 5.7 a good bit, and like the PSA far better. I've stalled out playing with other stuff, but when I count 'em up, I'm sitting a bit under nine hundred rounds of Fiocchi range ammo out of the 150's bulk boxes. On a side note, watching others shoot gel with this ammo, and being familiar with it, I would not hesitate for a second, using it for potential self defense. Price aside, I think this pistol has real pros over the competition. I wish you had gotten in just a bit earlier, PSA hasn't done much in recent months in terms of screaming great deals. I have an FDE frame that I was slowly building the way I wanted, and I was buying spare parts to keep it going, but I just picked up a second pistol instead. Anyway, I can't recall a single cycling failure, except for two failures to lock back. But, that happens for me fairly often, with different pistols. I can't confirm, but there was a report of a comp. stopping the slide from racking, because of some blow back action movement, before the barrel unhooks. For me, it's a fun range toy, no doubt about it keeper. My trigger has also lightened with use, but it started way better than yours. Personally, not just the report, but I don't like the fireball, either. If it has to be set off in a dark house, my guess is there are better options, for me.
I love my Rock 5.7. I have spent a lot of money at the range on this gun. LOL. I have almost 1000 rounds through mine. I think about 900 actually. Zero issues. Accurate. Reliable. Quick to get back on target. Great carry gun or self defense gun. Great round capacity. Easy to rack the slide. No recoil at all. Through my ballistic research, 9mm and 5.7 out of a handgun are about the same. 9mm might have a larger wound cavity but both equally deadly. I don’t think a comp is necessary for that gun. Not a fan of barrel or slide porting or comps. Too much gas and debris up in the line of fire. Just my opinion. Good video and good purchase. I knew you would like it. I have the same optic on mine by the way. Oh and by the way, I found the perfect sights to replace the stock sights. They are Ameriglo GL-291. They are for Glock and they are suppressor height. They are also I-Dot. So, you must like I-Dot. I do and they co-witness perfectly at the bottom of the glass.
I have not looked at the 5.7 with any seriousness. I have enough projects going already, don't need to add another caliber. But they are an interesting cartridge, I think I would be most interested if they ever have a rifle length version. It looks like it would be an awesome little varmint shooter in a rifle platform. I love 5.7! I have the rock, ps 90, fn mk2, and cmmg 5 inch banshee. I am waiting for psa to release the micro rock.
Keep it and run it as a durability test gun see how many rounds it takes before it fails

Nice group. If I were going to run a comp on the 57 for home defense I would go with a linear to send the blast away from the shooter.
