Japanese and western kobolds meeting is so much cuter than i expected
Fun fact:the reason they are so different is because the first japanese edition of d&d messed up the description of a kobold.they used descriptors that the japanese usually use for K-9s by accident.like "muzzle" or "paws" etc.

@@pipebombpete.6861as a matter of fact, they did not. Kobolds were always dog coded in dnd. They only became more dragony in the recent editions, and those aparrently didn’t fully make it to japan. If I remember properly. So the japanese think they look like dogs, while the west think they look lizardy.

I kind of agree. Still, the question probably could've been approached with a bit more tact. And the rejection could've definitely been handled better.
I do agree with that logic, but you see, the pragmatics of the situation are mostly at play here. The way the fox asked the couple was more of a catcalling to one of them, as compared to a more civil and acceptable asking of the couple as a whole if they are open before proceeding.

My first kobold I saw was from the 9th Level Games “Kobolds Ate My Baby!”, a game I haven’t played but had me thinking of them as small furry creatures; in my generic fantasy comic, the kobold workers were more like small rodents such as lemmings than dragon- or dog-like.

i’m not gonna lie, I find it cringe when people on the fringe of society who deal with people very different from them on a very regular basis and ask people to keep an open mind to please accept them and their behavior, become even more militantly shaming than everyone else, of people they don’t approve of, and act like it’s common sense that what they’re doing is bad. Like, there’s a difference between laying down your own boundaries, and laying down your boundaries and then acting like their common sense and people are weird for not understanding them. Especially when your scene is weird by people around you already. Basically just saying common sense as an argument is cringe. Sincerely, a bisexual autistic furry.

I play a kobold named Twig in Dungeons and Dragons right now. If I’m being 100% honest, D&D kobolds may be the main reason I like anthro animals. First it was dragons, then dragonborne, then kobolds. I went down the silly little dragon guy rabbit hole and now I’m a furry.

God, the fox asking if open relationship reminds me of way too many bad interactions. I'm not gonna say that poly relationships are inherently bad, but I will say I haven't seen a single one work out yet.
The sad fact of the matter is that from my experience it tends to happen in situations where someone is being selfish. I've seen people use it to effectively cheat and play the victim when called out, I've seen it used in a double standard way where the one who suggested it and brought someone in can't stand their original partner doing the same, I've seen a homewrecker get close to one person just so they could get in the other's pants, and I shit you not I have seen someone use it to bring someone they didn't actually care about into the relationship just to make their original partner jealous.
The unavoidable thing about poly is that humans are complicated and two trying to have a relationship get infinitely more complicated, but the more people you bring into that relationship will only compound that complex nature. Just make sure you and anyone involved are absolutely certain that you are all ready to try something like that and are prepared for the split attention it will cause.
