wow. I didn't know you could move and copy icons that way in rhino. in the past, I used to click on the button at the top left of the popup to access the menu and add or modify an icon. it was a very, very long process. this trick is wonderful. A big thanks kyle.
I came from SOLDWORKS and liked the shortcut for the popup. You can assign a keyboard shortcut such as F4 and add , PopupToolbar popup enter, and you can now use F4 for the pop up. I have script running something else for MMB
Love your vides Kyle, thanks for this one as well...I have to say-the toolbar situation needs some love from Mcneel...this lousy situation happens, you delete your custom toolbar in the middle of a deadline-push, and it takes hours to fix. Why?! This makes me really not trust this software, even though it can give so much...
Couln't figure out how to restore it, am now working on rebuilding the custom popup. Bad UX/UI-sorry. Why is it possible to eliminate command prompt, bottom toolbar, and finally custom poput with some mistaken keystroke?! These questions/problems seem to go back years when you look at the online documentation.
@@noahsark99 without knowing how you got to broken, I’d be very hard pressed to help you get back to fixed. Check out the lev 2 manual- the chapter on customizing toolbars will be the ticket to explaining how this system works.
@@Rhinoceros3d I'm back, once again in a deadline-mad rush...first the snaps menu and promptline dissappeared...working to get them back up, I've somehow deleted my middle mouse custom menu. Seriously frustrating! Why is this UX such a disaster?! I've been using Rhino for years, next to many other software packages, which I imagine is the case for many users...please clean this workflow up! If the answer to this problem is always "just become better with this software's arcane UX" - that seems like a cop-out

Please reorganize/redesign the UI, since 15 + years ago, most of us have been using 16:9 monitors. Using Rhino is like peeping into holes to see the objects. Even browsers and office utilities these yeas have functions to maximize the working area. See fusion 360, don't make yourself look old, you are losing new generations.
on the standard tool tab, fly out the shaded view icon, and you will see a ghosted view icon in the fly out.. drag that to your pup up as you would any other tool-

The thing is that you can have several docked windows in that same popup bar... That I really need because I have 2D commands, Surf commands, everything gathered on that small popup space.... however I would like to put 2d commands on a popup-window1, 3d surface commands on a popup-window2, solid tools on a popup-window3... I have seen this on this video ruclips.net/video/J0HJJTvMAo0/видео.html (few seconds forward/backward) so it is possible on WINDOWS 10/11.... I just don't know how yet. I have tried to dock several windows on the popup window but while I am editing that bar, I can see 2 or 3 bars, however after clicking out of that popup window (ending the edition of the popup bar definition itself) It doesn't show the same when I middle mouse button click next time (It just shows the first popup-bar-window1) Many hanks for your help, keep up the good job!!! :)

This popup menu needs to be fixed on RhinoMAC. I wish to behave the same like the one in Rhino for Windows.

Simply save your custom toolbars, (I pop a copy on Dropbox) then restore them at any time.

With this Popup menu I replaced entirely the AutoCad!
How to put ghosted view ?
right click the window label and choose ghosted view
