    Thanks for watching, guys! We took a ridiculous amount of selfies on this trip! 😂 Any guesses on how many? Have you ever skipped a park because you didn’t think you had enough time? Getting closer to Alaska! 😃

    Selfies are important memory keepers. Can you imagine being on those boardwalks if another earthquake hit!? My favorite place to holiday!!! The sulfer reminds me of my grandparents water in southern Idaho.. they lived near a hot springs similar to these.. horrid water!
    You can visit this many many times and no two are the same!

    I'm from Bozeman! I hope you studied the super volcano aspect a bit! The faults in the area aren't caused by tectonics but by volcanic activity due to a hot spot below us here. I'm sure you can make it back at some point- look at the national forests outside the park next time for places to stay. My favorite is Shoshone Nat'l Forest outside of the East entrance. Gorgeous. Definitely do the Beartooth Highway and Chief Joseph Scenic Highway outside the NorthEast entrance. As I'm sure you noticed, the park varies in different locations- and the Northeast corner/just outside is amazing (and more bears!). I hope you make it back to our area someday!

    Love Yellowstone, even though is right in our back yard we have only been to probably 4-5 times. One of the best experiences ever was getting to work on the Lake Lodge after the park was closed in late fall... it was crazy cool getting to experience the park with no else except employees of the park... Its so different in the summer with all the people there, but still amazing

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  5 лет назад

      Hart and Col that’s our goal in National Parks. I’d rather have crappy weather than tons of people. Hoping to hit up the parks in Utah and Arizona this fall during off season. Curious what you were working on at the lodge. That sounds awesome!

    We were there for over a week in 2018. We stayed at the Grizzly RV Resort in West Yellowstone about a mile from the west entrance. We went in the park every day. We did one really early morning but several late afternoons to help avoid the crowds. Yes! Taking the hike to get the view of old faithful from the overlook was worth it! Should you go back again.

    It can crowed in summer but weekday early is best. They have music a couple nights a week. The owners are Seventhday Adventist’s so it’s very family oriented and no noise served. They close Friday at sundown to Saturday sundown. They have s KOA campground there too. Check out their website . There’s also Norris Hot springs which is more rustic but it’s a ways out from BZN. We’d love to host you here in Three Forks for dinner . We have 5 acres but no trees and it might be tight to get your 5th wheel through the horse pasture gate where electric and water are .

    Great video, thanks for adding parking area info. It’s really helpful. We saw you traveling with Less Junk More Journey last year and follow you guys now. Hey I do have a question for you two. Why do full timers always seem to be in a hurry, what’s the rush? Slow down and small the sulfur! HA HA!!!

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  5 лет назад +1

      Wayne Hogue thanks so much for watching! Glad it was helpful! Great question. Our answer is when we first started traveling, we thought we were only going to be on the road for a year, so we were trying to fit as much in as possible. Now that we have decided to keep traveling, there are other things that can cause you to have to move from one place to another quickly. Work: if there is no service like in Yellowstone, you may not be able to stay there long. Sometimes there isn’t availability to stay in an area for long, so it is time to move on. Weather can push you out of an area quickly as well. In this case, we needed to get going up to Alaska while the weather was good there. In the past, we have had family weddings that have given us deadlines. So many factors. Hope that helps! And love the sulfur line! 😂

    Awesome Video! Yellowstone looks so cool, I hope to take my family within the next couple of years.
    Canada does get pretty expensive, one thing that always messed me up was that things were in the Canadian dollar which is worth less than our dollar. 😁 (but food and gas are both quite a bit more expensive, especially as you get into the Yukon)
    I am excited for you guys to make it up here, Alaska is a beautiful place as well.

    The look on that mountain lions face is a little exaggerated but very close to what you get when you give one a start in the wild. I guess I was super stalking or she wasn't paying attention but we both shat ourselves. Which was the most memorable event homesteading in north east Washington (other than annoying a grizzly with a truck)

      1971Longhornfan no filter, although I should in some situations, we’re just so run and gun... I try and under expose my landscapes a stop or two to make sure there’s no highlights or color loss. Then I bring up the shadows if I need to in post. Not to go on a political rant here but the mere face that our forefathers killed bison to starve a people who were HERE BEFORE WE WERE speaks volumes to who we were. This land is vast; that we could not find a way to coexist without domination is pathetic.

    • @FindingOurSomeday
      @FindingOurSomeday  4 года назад

      Unfortunately that’s human nature, every civilization has always dominated the weak. The entire world is founded on it. Doesn’t make it right, but it’s human nature. It’s happening now, just in different ways... but man, it would have been amazing to see 30 million bison on the open range.
