Ok... is anyone else confused about the Ric Flair marriage thing to Wendy Barlow? He had a ceremony, then they split up, but in 2022 Ric Flair said they never actually got married?! What's the story here?
He was probably drunk. Legally, you aren't supposed to be under the influence when you enter into a contract. But I guess if that were the case it would void every contract he signed in the past 25 years.
Talking about the "banjo boy" from Deliverance: His name is Billy Redden, 66 years old now and he actually didn't play the banjo in the movie. He wore a special shirt so the real player could sit behind him and not be seen in the camera angles. Regarding Deliverance making him for life: It's actually quite the opposite, he was working at Wal-Mart 10 years ago when they made a documentary about the movie and he was "struggling really hard to make ends meet".
Top of the day to you who all love pro wrestling. It's a beautiful rainy day on the east coast NYC/NJ to sit back and listen to Dutch tell stories and listen to Mantell's wisdom
Boogs: Add to his list of things that he was also a youtuber with a following. The dude was hanging out with big names in fitness, bodybuilding and so on way before WWE and I suspect that he might actually have given them some new viewers and sold a feeeew tickets.
I never miss an episode of Kill Tony and when i seen it pop up Flair was the guest was guaranteed chaos, he got off lightly tbf i really wanted em to light the goof up like a Christmas tree
Someone did an excellent analysis of Flair on Kill Tony, and it basically boiled down to the idea that Flair (being Flair) most likely thought he was going to be doing a show where people were going to be kissing his butt... Which didn't happen. He showed up, six sheets to the wind, having no idea what he was getting himself into. It was also exacerbated by the fact that the comedians on the panel (Ari Shaffir, Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Luis Gomez) are some of the most brutal, funniest, and least sympathetic stand-ups out there. It was a trainwreck, but like any trainwreck you're not directly involved in... It was fun to watch!
There's no way Tony didn't give Rick a good heads up of the show format, Rick probably shrugged it not fully understanding or cared to. Rick changed dramatically from before Ari (and the rest) got on stage to after.
Flair definitely hears what he wants to hear... I doubt anyone could have told him/explained to him otherwise about what was going to happen. Piggybacking on what you said, I'm pretty sure his mind was already made up the moment he was asked to participate. The fact that Flair gave most of his soliloquy with his eyes closed was a clear indicator that the only way anyone was going to save him from himself at that point was to hand him some Tylenol and a pillow and let him sleep it off in a corner somewhere...@@midwestmind691
You mean unfunny? Everything you said points to them being unfunny (which they are). They are hacks that would’ve been run out of the business fifteen years ago

Jaxson Ryker, guy was on NXT for a while, they never really did anything with him or his tag partner before he went solo. That's who the Trump supporter was that Dutch is talking about @ 42:41
Tony Hinchcliff actually turned down a job offer from the WWE to be a writer right before he got his break in standup, but turned it down because he would have to move to Connecticut and would have no time at all to work on his comedy career. Now his podcast Kill Tony does weekly numbers about the same as Raw and Smackdown just on youtube
I love these older wrestlers. My kind of people. so down to earth. Something about a person that has traveled all over that makes a person smart and with so many stories.
In the past, if I watched a show like this & they couldn’t name the people they’re talking about I’d say this guys are amateurs, but it says a lot when WWE has guys on the roster for years & people couldn’t care to remember their names or what they did there. And amazing some guys are on the payroll for 20 years & made minimal impact.

True Story: I worked for a bank in LA back in 2011. One day a young fellow came in and I recognized him as Nick Hogan. I helped him with cashing a check and needed to see his ID. As soon as I saw his name was Nick Bollea, I sort of marked out. I didn’t say anything to him at first, mostly because the bank account he was trying to cash a check on had a negative balance. I explained to him that I couldn’t cash the check due to NSF and immediately followed that up with “By the way, Mr. Bollea. I’m a big fan of your father and wanted to make sure you were aware of that.” He took everything surprisingly well and thanked me. As he walked out of the bank, I noticed he was doubled parked in a handicap zone! And that was my Hogan experience 😅
