- Is this the best Motocross track on planet earth? Adam Sterry tears up the awesome Desertmartin circuit in Northern Ireland at the 4th round of the 2016 Maxxis British Championship. Its got to be one of the best tracks in the world, right? what do you think?

It looks like one of those video game tracks that was built with a ton of imagination. Seems like it would be hard remember but fun to ride!
Soil looks good. Weather seems great (when not raining). I always wondered what MX tracks are like in the UK/Ireland. Here in central Florida it's hot like an oven and way too many tracks are loose sand. Gatorback, Hardrock, WW Motocross Park and Pax Trax are the go-tos though for me.
I race this track it’s called desertmartin n I must say it’s one of the best tracks I’ve ever ridden
I live 45 mins away from the track it is amazing and on race day they always have the track perfect for racing

This is a mans track and the jump @3.24 is huge I was over there a few years back at one of the world championship rounds .

I’ve been to most tracks in and around the uk and a fair few in other countries. The best track I’ve ever seen was in a little place called Ambert in France on the side of a humungous hill. Steeper and much much bigger than hawkstone hill for a uk comparison. It’s phenomenal but not many events happen there anymore I believe.
Wish i could get my confidence up to hit this track hard like these guys.Its my dream to do this
I know tis is an old post but follow someone who does it all the time and be confident in your ability... once you get passed the fear and realize how smooth it is you'll be fine!
that track looks like two wheel paradise... tell them to set up an enduros course next to it and I will move to Ireland for sure
With 10 years of racing in the 80's I'd say this is a pretty sweet track. We used to have big doubles and triples and i'm noticing that there are more table tops these days. That's probably not a bad idea. Our testicles had to grow big and fast back in those days with those dangerous jumps, but spines are of value too. LOL!

Looks like alot of fun. Unfortunately I haven't rode a dirtbike in almost 5 years. I have an '08 kx 250f basically in pieces and don't have any money to fix it. I used to ride freestyle motocross and actually got pretty good, but the weird thing is I'm not good at riding motocross cause the ruts always fucked me up. Hopefully someday I'll be riding again...

WICKED Awesome I'd love to eat up some of that. only suggestion is toss in a couple fat burms in those flat corners. Besides that looks soooo fun.

Track looks awsum,the color of the dirt just make think of good dirt,and traction,video quality isn't bad,but heres mud in your good go pro eye,that real hurt,plus I'm not crazy about go pro camera videos some times they're great sometimes,they 're okay don't know why,watching go pro video is real as its gets,no wonder my kidneys still hurt from motocross,just kidding awsum footage,nothing like getting holeshot,but for the camera's view second place start is more exciting,nice pass to him and guy in front were evenly matched,didn't look like pass was gonna happen,both guys riding good...thanks for the action,track was hard to see from go pro,race was kick aass ...

James haha yeah you are spot on. It seems most EU tracks are rutted like crazy. Check out the majority of the MXGP tracks and they look like they've had a giant rake pulled through them. It takes big balls to hit jumps like that aye!

No: only has one corner. All others are sweeping turns. No corner combinations. Average speed to high. Nice venue. Prepared well. Just not engineered to be a "Race" track.

MX was raced on more natural tracks in the start of MX, this looks more like a paved freeway.. not much handling skills involved.. just bring around the corner, and hammer.
yeah but they also didn't have jumps that launched you skyhigh in the early days either. Plus, with the power of todays bikes, the tracks get hella rutted as the day goes on. But yeah, for the most part this is fairly smooth
This track is quite difficult, I ride it myself and when it gets rough it can be very challenging. This race would have been the first of the day so not much roughness, also Adam Sterry is very fast and could make any track look easy. Also gopros can make tracks look like a road

typical Euopean track...the turns are all highway turns that rider don't have to slow down very much for.....gradual S turn that the rider just straighten out....good dirt and small hills but a little small....best track ? nope
