Muchas gracias por tu comentario, yo soy corredor de olas con tabla desde 1980 y lo mismo de rios en 1996 comense a correr olas con un kayak para olas y desde hay no me volvi a bajar, realmente es muy divertido, te lo recomiendo, aprende a dar la vuelta al kayak y el resto con la convinacion de surfo que sos, te va a ser muy facil, cuidate amigo.

when you are stretched out, leaning far, paddle down it reminds me of when I snowboard, leaned out, fingertips grazing theedge of the hard pack, screamin down the mountain! haha. awesome
This is excellent, well done. You know the wave very well, just when I thought you would throw in a bottom turn to create speed you climb back up the wave. Very tricky conditions.

Awesome waves, terrific bracing and skill on your part, Alejo! Does your kayak have "fins"? Your video is very well produced and music is perfect! I have only attempted surfing in tidal races, on waves up to 7 feet at sand bars, and up to 4 feet at shore! My favorite is the tidal race surfing, but you have to hit it at the right time to have fun. I surf in an Eddyline Nighthawk, but have always wanted to try a surf kayak with fins. I live too far from the ocean now :(
@mrheinz - ey dood, just be sure that you a leaning back ALOT on when u are taking off on a wave- particuarly if the wave is a sucky bareling wave. This will also help you from sliding when you go to turn as your weight will be centered over your fins.

I wish you'd shown recoveries - I want to see what happens after a wave breaks over you. Do you always just roll up, or do you get pulled out of the boat?
Wonder what happens when he gets pounded.. In one sequence the lip hits the kayak and the thing gets bounced in the air... Does he stay with the Kayak until the pounding is over? or does he have a way to separate from it?

@MegaGreendayfan101 not trying to insult you, but have you ever seen Hawaiians ride the surf on an outrigger? I'm an island born / So Cal raised surfer. It doesn't matter if your standing, laying on your belly or sitting in a boat with a paddle. Be safe, use wave etiquette and respect each other and we can all have fun.

You should try moving the seat back in your kayak. This will move the center of gravity rearward, and help you keep your nose up.
