Thanks so much. Lots of bugs flying around but most of them were very small and closer to the camera than it appeared I think. I was quite pleased with the results as I'd almost given up on real time night videos. The time-lapse was ok but I think this camera was better overall.

My headlights draw them in. The IR lights on the camera also. In part 2 it got a bit misty. I'll try to get that done very soon...
Fascinating to see a night cruise. I do wonder what moored boaters think of nightcruisers. Like one boat you passed, saw someone coming up, wait and look.
Also strange to see someone sitting next to the canal; maybe fishing?
My Cat did the same, another tabby a ginger one, came in at 9 pm and before I could shut and lock the conservatory door she was out again, couldn't go to bed until she finale came in at 4 am😬
Very scary Phil especially seeing that person sat on the bank having a cigarette. We think he might have been from the boat in front of you as you passed him . Only logical explanation.

Thank you. I did wonder about that person on the towpath. I thought perhaps he might be fishing but I didn't see a rod? I won't be going down the Thames, my licence doesn't cover that river.
Hi Phil, speaking as a none Narrowboat owner ( only a dreaded hire boater) do you get 'curtain twitchers' as you pass their moored boats?

Thanks, yes lots of curtain twitching. Hireboats generally aren't allowed to night cruise (for insurance reasons) but this does not apply to private boats. Extra care must be taken at night however.
