  • In a word, the Dodge Durango SRT 392 is silly. Afterall a 470 horsepower three row crossover that can run 12's in the quarter mile and tow 8600 lbs seems outlandish. Here is the thing, it's FUN! It makes great noises, handles better than any 5.500 lb SUV has the right to and puts a smile on your face. What's it like to live with day to day? That's what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.

The Durango is basically a Jeep SRT with a 3rd row and revised/updated features.
The split 2nd row and 3rd row take away the cargo space of my Jeep SRT, but most buyers don't give a damn.
DRIVING my Jeep SRT or Hellcat makes me smile.
If a car makes you smile when you drive it - it's worth the money.
    EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.

Exhaust much more for the muscle car enthusiast that now has kids to think about. The Jeep exhaust is much more subdued and it's 10-20k less than the Jeep which is nice...i'm about to trade my 2016 scatpack for one

Wow! 11 MPG, you guys are really getting on it all the time. I have 1400 miles on mine in mixed driving and I'm at 16.1; and I get on it at least once or twice a day.

Doofus alert. This is not a Hellcat... it's the 392 SRT. And it DOES make sense... it just doesn't speak to all people.

George.. He was saying it's like a Hellcat with seating for 7. Not that it's a branded Hellcat Durango. Chill pill, bro.

    Hi,
I have a 2017 Dodge Durango GT v6 and I get 25 miles per gallon.
The 2017 Dodge Durango R/T v8 5.6 and 6.4 both were reported to get up to 22 miles per gallon.
    Try do these steps
    1) Have the sport and manual mode off.
    2) have your gas tank full
    3) Never acceleration above 2500 to 3000 RPM
    4) Never cruise above 1500 to 2000RPM.
    5) maintain speed of 60 to 75 mph on an interstate
The challenge is try only use 4 cylinders out of 8 cylinders only.
Only time you need all 8 cyinders when you are going up the hills or pulling a trailer.
I can see in 2 to 3 years the 8 cylinders will beat the 6 cylinders in miles per gallon.

    It's a SUV not a Crossover.

AvidGamer08 technically, as a unibody, its a large, SUV-like crossover.

One of the worst reviews of a vehicle that I have ever seen, first off it is 392, not a Hellcat. You state that the 8.4 Uconnect is getting old and outdated. Did you even turn it on? this vehicle has the new Gen 4 version of the Uconnect with Apple Car Play, it works great, i wish my Charger had the new Uconnect. You should really know what you're talking about before doing reviews like this.

Standard fanboy comments. How do I know, you didn't listen as I described using it and mentioned that it was SLOW!!! You should open your ears and listen before commenting on videos that don't fully affirm your biases. And I guess you never heard of clickbait and SEO.

Rumblestrip.NET Yes, I heard you say it was slow and it is not slow, that is how I know that you didn't even turn it on or connect a phone to it! It is one of the best entertainment/informational systems on the market.

It is slow compared to many others I have tested in the last few years. After 10 years of reviewing cars, which includes over 300 written reviews and 200 video reviews, I know what is slow and what is not when it comes to infotainment systems. I have tested all of them across all brands, so, compared to other brands and other infotainment systems based on actual testing, the UConnect in this Durango was slow.

Rumblestrip.NET I rent over 40 cars a year and have used them all in the real world and I do not agree with your findings.

To quote my friend Craig Cole from AutoGuide, you are as entitled to your opinion as you are to be wrong.

Hellcat is 707 HP 6.2 v8. Not "The Hellcat Three Row SUV" here. Do your homework.

This guy has definitely a glass half full perspective in this review. He woke up not liking this vehicle. Horrible review!

Yet again another short bus rider who doesn't listen. I gave this a glowing review, apparently, he wanted the full fellatio to make his fanboyism feel affirmed.
