Billy definitely grew up in church.... that run he did on that last song is Sunday morning praise and worship we about to shout the carpet off the floor kinda run! The kind that makes you scream Yes'suh and Hallelujah! #SangBilly
After watching his impromptu tony award commercial break song singing as mama rose. I want him to be mama rose in a gypsy reboot. Hell, I wish he would host the Tony's.
He is my favorite stage performer EVER! This guy who is at Penn State now reminds me of him. I want them to meet. And I want them to sing together. Phil Young - I'm Not My Father's Son
Seth: I am OBSESSED with your show. Any-to-the-who, I despise your cameraman. He zooms in and out like a aged diva soprano uses vibrato. Its too much, too frequent, and MAKES ME SICK. Literally have nausea. Love you!
Gotta say, when it's done well, I love "Little Lamb," and think it's pretty important to the show (for more than just giving Rose a break and allowing set change, or whatever). But, I'm one of those weirdos who also like "More I Cannot Give Ye," and prefer "An Ordinary Couple" to "Something Good" (not that either is a terribly thrilling song, but the first one makes much more sense in the moment, and also, just in general--and, c'mon, Richard Rodgers or Oscar H. II? For lyrics, no contest). Then again, despite the stronger case the NY Philharmonic staged concert of CAROUSEL made for it (I'd never seen a live performance of the show before), I'm still not at all a fan of "This Was a Real Nice Clambake." "The vittles we et, were good, you bet!" Oy.
+AvalonMorley Totally agree re undervalued standards: More I Cannot Wish You and An Ordinary Couple. Another was Love You Dearly in Sammy Fain's Calamity Jane.
"Little Lamb" the worst song ever? Really? It's simple and touching and shows us a side of Louise we needed to understand. Guess certain show queens gotta' have the belting brass to be satisfied.
"BEIGE DON'T AGE" I CAN'T Y'ALL I'M DONE 😂😂
I love how Billy is always so real
Billy's energy (not to mention talent) makes me so happy.
Billy is such a treasure. I adore him.
