Why Do you insist on mentioning how unhealthy and full of sugar they are? I mean, it’s candy, what did you expect??
When I was in what is now called pre-school, probably 71 years ago, the teacher bribed us to take our nap by giving nappers a Mary Jane when they woke up. Since I hated Mary Janes way back then, I never bothered to take a nap if I didn't feel like it. At least they were good for something.
Red Vines for me, please. They're awesome. And so are Mary Janes.

My mom used to hand out the peanut butter kisses on Halloween when I was a kid. They were cheap and we didn't have a lot of money then.

i love most of these, and i like how you filled your list with multiple types of jawbreaker candies, nice way to take up space for REAL bad candies, and putting dumdums on the list saying they are bad when in one of the previous lists you name tootsie pops one of the greatest candies ever made, if suckers are bad for the teeth cause it takes so long to eat them then all suckers would make that list not just one
red vines are miles ahead of twizzlers, twizzlers feel like your eating plastic

I think it is a major generalization to say that most people do not like black licorice. I love it and prefer it to red. I have a lot of friends who also love it. My favorite Chuckle is the black one.

I'm Australian, but most people I know can't understand the American fascination with red licorice. Twizzlers taste like actual plastic to me. On the other hand, licorice bullets or just plain black licorice is so good.
Black licorice tastes like NyQuil to me, can't stand it.

You more or less just insulted atleast 60% of all Scandinavian people.
The whole sweets (candies) looking like medicine thing has to do with the fact that until we got modern pharmaceutical medicine the only way you could get better was to eat the leaves or the roots of certain plants, unfortunately most of these leaves aoroots didn't taste very good neat so the best way to get people to take them was to coat it in sugar.
Also, until commercial sweet shops (candy stores) became the normal the only place you could get sweets (candies, unless you made it yourself at home) was at a chemist (pharmacy) because they had the tools necessary for making small edible items to hand (early mechanical tablet presses mainly)

Bullshit on the Butterscotch one of my favorite. Red vines I can almost sit down and eat a whole container. You only got 2 right Mary Janes and Wax Lips both really suck. Although it is said some old hippies love Mary Jane.

OMG, Werther's are awesome and I've loved them since I was a teen.
Now after watching three episodes, there are some candies/gums that should have been on the "worst" list, such as....GatorGum, Peanut Butter Kisses (Halloween Candy), Slo Poke, Sugar Babies, Hershey's Kisses (because it's just awful chocolate, but other products of theirs are much better), Valentine's Conversation Hearts, rock candy, Swedish Fish, ribbon candy, Sno Caps, Albert's Chocolate Ice Cubes, Fruit Stripe Gum, Altoids Liquorice Mints, Now and Laters, Chick-O-Stick, Chunky Chocolate Bars, Toffifay...all of these are AWFUL and need to be on the worst list before many of the ones mentioned in these three videos.
I disagree with Lemonheads, Butterscotch candies, Mary Jane, & Dum Dums being on this list. But different strokes for different folks.

Black licorice, especially paired with chocolate, is really good. Maybe it's because I'm not American, but Twizzlers taste like actual plastic to me. They're truly nasty.

I still mourn the loss of Mary Janes. I loved them. I see them online but I don't know if they will be the same. The original coming closed down. I don't like Sweet Tarts, but I love the jellybean version.

Everlasting gobstoppers are so good!
They really dont take that long to eat and even if they do, what’s the problem with it? They taste good and they are satisfying to eat.
The flavours are all nice and the center is really good in flavour and texture.

I don’t understand how of all candies, The Atomic Fireballs are on Your list as one of the worst candies. Just because it’s Spicy and that it’s a Jawbreaker, doesn’t necessarily make it a bad Candy. It should only be bad for a certain group of People who either don’t like cinnamon or just don’t generally like Spicy Candy. The fact that around 10 million Fireballs are consumed by People Every week, Just shows that this candy was very Successful, and A Lot of people liked it. I'm not here advocating for it to be amongst the Best candies ever made. But it's certainly far from the worst.
I think cinnamon candy is terrible, but it's miles better than those gross necco wafers, or that crappy old fashioned Christmas candy assortment that comes in the little can which looks and tastes like it was made during the depression.
Main complaint - candy contains sugar. Shocking.
I am 40 years old and have not had any candy in 30 years
Mary Janes are my husband’s favorite and they are no longer available as they were made by the New England Confectionery Company which went out of business a few years ago. Also all the candies you mentioned here are no worse for you then the other “popular “ candies. Skittles are pure sugar,dyes and other unhealthy ingredients,they actually make me hurl and yet they are incredibly popular.

Jawbreakers: I love the taste but these hurt my teeth and I can barely bite through them. I usually have to suck on it but it takes so long! I barely eat these.
Sweet Tarts: I love these!! Thankfully I don’t eat these too much.
Fireballs: I haven’t tried these but for spicy candies it really depends for me. By the look of that, I don’t think I would like these.
Gobstoppers: These are so good!! It takes a while to eat just a pack of 3 though.
Butter scotch candies: I love these and I really don’t care if “old grannies eat them”. It’s a good thing I don’t have these very often.
Red Vines: I’ve never tried these but I love red Twizzlers so much that I’ll probably never be open to any other licorice brands.
Lemon Heads: Exactly like Gobstoppers, just tastes like sour lemons. They’re okay but it’s very rare I eat them because of the taste and hardness.
Mary Janes: I’ve never had these and I’m not sure if I’d like them. I love peanut butter candies but this seems weird.
Dum Dums: These are amazing! I always get one on my way out of the doctor’s office. I never eat more than one so maybe that’s why I’ve never had cavities.
Wax Lips: Never had them but they just seem so weird...

Bro Everytime I got a big jawbreaker for the local Nickel Arcade as a lad I ended up sticky and gross.
I love lemon heads, sweetarts, mary janes, and dum dums; my favorite flavor of dum dum is cherry.
I hate Atomic Fireballs, but my sister loves them. When I was a kid, we would get the Brach's Pick-A-Mix candy, and those would be in there. I had to soak mine in a glass of ice water before I could eat it, though.
I like butterscotch, but given a choice, I'd rather have Werther's original candy. It tastes more like a caramel-flavored hard candy, like Tastations, a hard candy that came out in the 90s with flavors like caramel, mint, and chocolate. Those were good!
When I was a kid in the 1980s, my mother, sister and I would go to Begley drug store and get a Black Cow, a dark chocolate covered long hard dark caramel lollipop that was like an all-day sucker. It was later "reincarnated" as Storck Reisen, small chunks of hard dark caramel covered in dark chocolate. Yum! Begley was the forerunner to Rite-aid.
There are candies called Spree, colored candy that isn't exactly hard, but not soft, either, and there are chewy Spree. My sister and I love those.
