  • What happened to The Hundreds? The Hundreds was a community-based streetwear brand and media platform with an emphasis on People Over Product.
Through out the early to mid 2000s they were among the front runners in the golden age of streetwear.
Created by Ben and Bobby Hundreds, the line played a huge role in not only bring streetwear to the fame that it enjoys today, but it helped put LA on the map as one of the street fashion hubs of the world.
I'm Nate the Great from Takeflight214.com and if you know, if the Hundreds managed tp make it's way into this series, then they are not the hype machine it used to be.
And in today's video, we'll discuss how they rose to fame and what caused the downfall.

I noticed with some street brands today a lot of them aren't unique like the hundreds, Obey, crooks, 10 deep and other brands. Today brands, a lot of them follow a trend and don't stand out

The hundreds didn’t lose any hype.. I’d believe the direction that they’re going in, is all a part of a bigger picture.. one of the reasons the logo, 💣 was chosen was because the guys never wanted to fully blow-up and/or sell out.. the bomb never explodes.. Good brand topic, however I think you could of been a little more insightful .. Nevertheless, Keep up the dope work 🤙🏾.. UPVOTE!

I agree, they may not be as hyped as they used to be but they are not dead the way some brands are. There a few brands that we covered that I personally still wear too like them 10 deep and huf

You keep saying this brand was big from the early to mid 2000s (as with other brands like crooks, black scale, dope etc) but I don’t remember these brands hitting it off during that time I remember these brands starting to pop from the late 2000s to mid 2010s.
The early to mid 2000s was still dominated by rapper/ hip hop artist created clothing lines like rocawear, Sean John, phat farm etc

This is true, streetwear as we know it today did start in the mid 2000s after it was ushered in by the rapper brands. We have a video on the rapper line era too.

How the hell this video only have 33 views? Amazing work, such thorough research. I remember seein the Adam Bomb logo back in like 2005 and 2006 in school. Didn't know what it was. Now I do. I copped a few of their shirts just recently and the cotton is amazing, the stitching is solid as hell, and overall, it's one of the best fitting shirts I own.

All of these videos bring back such a deep sense of nostalgia. I remember hitting small boutiques in CT for the newest 10 deep or SB’s. Mainly skate shops at the time. Camping out for kicks. The best of times.

People don’t care about 2000s skateboarding anymore. The interest group is small nowadays.
