I'm traveling to from Gran Canaria to Albania on July 5, transiting through Milan. Hopefully the process will go smoothly! Travel within the Canaries is getting a bit easier. I flew from La Palma to Tenerife on May 31, and had to submit a questionnaire justifying the travel, and they measured each person's temperature upon arrival in Tenerife. Today I flew from Tenerife to Gran Canaria; no questionnaire check was needed, and they only monitored people's temperature using an infrared camera.
Great that you’ve been able to fly and going to Albania! Let us know how it goes! (Sorry if it’s a duplicate response; I responded earlier but not showing up for me now.)
@@TravelingwithKristin hi we returned to normal life a week ago, and up to today we have had 24 days with no covid , but 2 cases today from returning kiwis. There is no restrictions and unlimited crowds at sports events etc. Tourism though is doing it hard and a lot of people have lost their jobs. ☺
First off, I hope that you are doing well, as south Florida has been hammered with positive COVID test results. We, in North Florida have been hit, too, but not not like in Miami-Dade County. I really have my eye on a visit to Serbia. Being that my cancelled trip to Hungary has been refunded coupled with being allowed to work overtime throughout this whole mess, I've been saving as if I were ready to book another trip tomorrow. Hungary it still at the top of my dream list, with Serbia a close plan B, as it is open. As things seem to change faster than we can blink, Hungary could open and Serbia could close. Being unable to do much, or go anywhere, all I can do is work and save. If, here in America, we can get this virus, and ourselves, under control, Serbia in the Spring, and Hungary in the Fall is not out of the question.
Things are changing so fast! I recorded a video about the new Europe ban on Friday and it's already outdated by today. I'm cutting out half of it and filmed a new one. Serbia is a good option for fall and, as you mention, best to work and save in the meantime!
Do you have a question about a specific country? Let me know in the comments! So it’s technically 43 countries now instead of 45 😞😞 Will add in the video details and the next video update.) Liechtenstein is included with Switzerland.
Hi Christina, even though citizens and residents of Armenia are allowed to leave by plane, I've been unable to find any commercial flights out of the country for June. However, if you could get a flight, I think you would be allowed into the US with a quarantine, although there would be a risk of getting turned away as a non-essential traveler. Armenia is not specifically banned as it's not a Schengen country, but it still seems to early to try to travel from there.
@@TravelingwithKristin the reason im asking is because my fiancee lives in Armenia and he was approved with a 10 yr tourist Visa and hes passed all the steps thar they asked him to do even got ank ok on his visa so hes just waiting for the flight ban to be lifted so hes also going through the embassy there but they still havent said anything to him when he can come to the u.s thats why im trying to find other ways to see when he can come .

Regarding your information on the United Kingdom, I beg to differ. The UK is still part of Europe - but it's no longer part of the European Union (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Iceland, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine are also examples of European countries that are not in the EU.) Regarding UK citizens having to "wait like the rest of us", this is also inaccurate. There are several countries in the EU that are welcoming UK citizens either from 15 June, or from 01 July. This includes Germany, Italy, Croatia, and Portugal. Granted not all countries are welcoming UK citizens at the moment (Netherlands is one example), but I wouldn't say that the whole of Europe is closed off to those travelling from the UK. The more concerning matter for those travelling from the UK is that all arrivals are now subject to a 2 week quarantine (from the 08 June). This is what will put UK tourists from travelling to Europe.
The UK is in Europe which is why I included it. The UK’s borders have remained open despite the quarantine. But the UK is specifically excluded from many countries’ Reopening plans.

@@TravelingwithKristin Thank you :-)
I'd like to ask about Slovenia, is it open now for international tourists? I'm not a european citizen.
Hi Ihab, it is open for international tourists, however a 14-day quarantine is required. More info here! www.policija.si/eng/newsroom/news-archive/103470-crossing-the-state-border-during-the-coronavirus-epidemic and these are the countries without restrictions: www.nijz.si/en/list-countries-crossing-national-borders-without-restrictions
Woowowwo Your family is from Hungary!!! Do you speak Hungarian? Magyarul beszélsz? So you are also a European citizen?
Yes my grandfather! I need to learn Hungarian so I can get citizenship :)
@@TravelingwithKristin I can give you some great tips. I learned it in Budapest on my own for a month. Magyar OK A1 A2 books are amazing. It takes some effort, but really you'll learn it. Also, listen to the youtube channel Easy Hungarian. I might do a video too in Hungarian. It is an amazing language and it is so rewarding to learn Magyarul!
@Russian lad I also speak Russian as I am a language learning digital nomad and I travel the world while learning the languages! I ADORE Russian language too. What languages do you speak?
Would you like to visit Russia after quarantine?

Hi Christina, I just counted and it looks like three countries on my original list were mistakenly cut out somehow during the editing process (we went through a lot of versions) Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Liechtenstein :( I even had to buy video clips of those countries because I've never been there. So sorry!
