i really appreciate the consideration you guys have for sydney. a lot of people completely dismiss her and belittle the work she’s done, and those people love to be loud about it. it’s kind of undeniable that sydney’s really important to the show and the story. like sure she doesn’t have any official financial stake in this, but this whole reconstruction wouldn’t be possible if she hadn’t started working at the beef. carmy couldn’t get anyone to respect or listen to him until he put syd in charge and one by one, she got these reluctant people to be part of a team. and then this team chose to follow carmy into this endeavor. i just really like that you guys see sydney as she is and haven’t forgotten how dedicated she’s been to carmy and this transition from the beef to the bear. really looking forward to the next reaction

PHEW! I was getting nervous when this would drop or whether there might have been copyright limbo 😅 because I NEEDED your reactions to Tina's karaoke scene. You two have the most infectious smiles and laughs which makes watching alongside you all the more fun.
The thing with Carmy and Claire, is that obviously you want him to enjoy life and relax, he deserves it, especially after all the shit he's been through, but the problem is that he goes for everything or nothing, it seems that it's either a restaurant or a relationship, he doesn't know how to handle both things at the same time, and obviously it's not her fault, at first I also had my doubts about her, but she ends up being really cool and nice, the problem here is Carmy, and her inability to handle everything.
This episode starts and ends with songs by The Replacements, the greatest indie rock band of the 80s. I'm an unabashedly massive fan, and no band has ever had the songs, look and chops that should've been rocking through stadiums, but so consistently shot themselves in the foot.

Claire is definitely a distraction Carm does not need. Yeah he needs someone away from the restaurant but he should have been honest and upfront about where his priorities need to be for the next few months. Not that they can’t spend some time together but that priority is the business, just like she is trying to finish her residency. Obviously she is more outgoing and can probably time manage the job and a relationship but let’s face it Carm only knows the kitchen. His interpersonal skills are pretty much non existent.

She's just too sweet, but it's definitely not the right time for her and Carmy to be together given all the restaurant reconstruction stuff. I do love how lowkey this episode is, though... we needed a little carefree moment after all the chaos along with the characters unwinding and taking a break, even if they're not supposed to get distracted due to the extremely close deadline!

I really think that she's cool enough that if Carmy just told her that it wasn't a good time for him to be in a relationship, she would understand and back off. But he doesn't give her that chance and instead just continues to lead her on because HE DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH HER.

It's not about Claire being nice, she is but she should understand and respect that he has a lot of other things going on. This is in my top 2 least favorite episodes. I don't like Claire because she fundamentally changes what the show is. The Bear is an amazingly written and acted dramedy....then anytime it's Claire and Carm where in this weird romcom.
