Disgruntled Klutch perfect way to put it.
With Jordan having the final say on every single inch of film. This is not a objective autobiography. It’s Jordan doc, it’s a fluff piece to boost his reputation. Money doesn’t matter when this documentary is going to be used by his followers to spread his image and influence like catholic missionaries.

Yes this was no secret. The NBA in the 70s and early 80s had a massive cocaine problem. And Jordan was ASKED that question. And yet he didn't mention any names whatsoever.
Horace Grant will never understand what Michael Jordan had to deal with when he first got into the league, and that cocaine circus scene gave a lot of perspective about the horrible state of the Bulls in the 80s.

Nah, stupid idiots just don't know the meaning of the word snitch. Horace Grant is soft and a SNITCH. He said he wasn't the only informant for Sam Smith. So he essentially snitched on himself about snitching. Then he piggybacked Craig Hodges' comments about Jordan telling about their drug use, when he mentioned no names. As it relates to the "snitching", Jordan didn't name names. It was telling part of his experience as a member of the Bulls. But, like Stephen A. said, you could easy do a search online to find out who was on the roster for his rookie season.
Another thought, I can understand Horace Grant objecting to accusations made against him or talking about his years with the Bulls for this miniseries documentary. That's his right.
However, I think Horace should have left those "snitching" comments alone. Why is he getting mad about that? He was a sophomore in Clemson while Jordan was a NBA rookie. That's none of his business. He needs to focus on his time in the NBA from 1987 and forward.
the interviewer asked MJ about the phrase "travelling cocaine circus" , MJ said it was the first time he heard that name and laughed, then he told the story about going into one of the players hotel room and seeing all the drugs and women. I lived through the entire Jordan era and watched every one of his championship runs when I was in my 20's. I absolutely love this documentary and think its fair and thorough. People may complain that its too Jordan-centric but let's face it, he was the face of the Bulls, the NBA, and even America during that period. It doesn't white wash his image either, bringing up the "Republicans buy sneakers too" comment (which pissed me off back then) as well as his gambling problem.

Jordan had many heroic basketball highlights. We want to watch that, ok? His many heroics far outweighs his flaws as a teammate. If you want to go make a doc about yourself, Horace, go ahead. Most of us won't care.

Horace Grant literally said that MJ was the Takashi of the 90s. You can break street code and still get more love than the streets do.
MJs greatness, as great as it is, is built on a mountain of bodies.. That 84' locker room and Horace Grant to name a few.
Bro those players were trash they cost MJ many potential chips cause they're addicted to cocaine.
The locker room in 84?
The 84 can answer for themselves. As a man, you real what you sow in life. MJ never named names. He made it vague enough that all his teammates can plausibly deny any of that when asked. That being said, if you did the stuff then just own up to it like a man. That's called integrity
@@mr.harambe2658 you can't say MJ did this or MJ did that and not give any credit to teammates when they win then put 100% of blame on said teammates when they lost during the 80s
@Ms Taylor
That's dumb. You think how honest a player is as a person is based on what caliber of player they are. Not very sound reasoning there.
I'm not stopping Max. Orlando beat the Bulls with Jordan who was scoring up to 50 points a game. No excuses. They got beat. Why? Kenny Smith explained it. That Bull’s team didn't have a decent rebounder. They didn't have Grant and they didn't have Rodman yet. Jordan can't win a title without a good rebounder.
Am I the only one who doesn't get why David Stern is so hated? The man turned the league what it is today and yet would get good every time he handed out the Larry Obrien trophy. Am I missing something?
Sam Smith goes on a podcast two weeks ago and talks about that "no food for Horace on the plane" story. Then Horace calls Shannon Sharpe last week and 100% confirms it. Obvious Horace is The Jordan Rules snitch.
According to Stephen & most people Jordan is exempt from criticism obviously.
Greenlee said that Horace feels like people are looking at those Bulls like a duo rather than a trio. I had a t-shirt that said Triple Threat Bulls which included Scottie, Mike, and Horace in 92. So real Bulls fans always respected what Horace brought.
Shawn Tell yet Horace Dissed the Bulls fans after he left by saying the Orlando fans were Far Better
Grant and Jordan put those differences aside tho. Won 3 rings in a row in amazing fashion despite this documentary shallow view. Period! Watching it during those years will never be replaced by this doc. I don't see this as ruining Grant, Pippen, Krause, etc. Its just Jordan's perspective and unseen behind the scene footage.
This wasn’t a Bulls doc it was a Michael doc. Should have been called that. Jordan did no favors to co-champions Scottie and Horace. Very self serving endeavor. Shocking 😕
True, I have no problem with the documentary being an MJ documentary as I loved it but it should've been called an MJ documentary because the way they promoted it mislead everybody.
Jordan did no favors for Scottie and Horace? Really? MJ made them the winner and the player that they became. Isn't that enough as a pro basketball player? being a winner with the greatest player that ever lived?
Yes, for the record, that 94-95 Orlando team has no right to brag about beating the Bulls that year. Jordan literally was coming back, with virtually no warm-up, from a different professional sport that he was fully committed to for 18 months. He returns to basketball for 17 regular season games to get his endurance and legs under him, and is then thrust into the NBA playoffs. This MJ was in baseball shape, not basketball. You could tell his timing was a bit off and he would have greatly benefited from a full season, but he didn't get that. They were a .500 team until MJ came back and then they went 13-4. Incredible. Yes, Orlando got the best of them in the series, but their power forward was literally taken from the Bulls that season, in Horace. This was the Shaq/Penny team. Of course they should have won that series all things considered. I wouldn't be bragging about that. If anything, it shows just how amazing MJ was to be able to pull that off at all. Oh, and by the way, the next year, when things were situated...yeah, the Bulls demolished that same Orlando team in four games.
Max talking about the 1995 East Semis at the end when Chicago lost in 6 to Orlando is a direct shot at Nick Wrong who keeps harping about that. Yet, Nick Wrong's LeBron lost to a much inferior Orlando team in 2009! 🤣
The 80s was the "Scarface" decade people. Cocaine wasn't only accepted for parties at Studio 54 but athletes like Lawrence Taylor in the NFL, Strawberry in MLB etc. It wasn't until the 90s that cocaine became an uncool thing to be involved with as the 80s ended with a spotlight on a growing crack cocaine problem.
Jordan got beat by a better team in ‘95. Thats the truth-they had no answer for Shaq and Horace. Jordan had a really good series BOTH years but they won the following year because
A. Horace got hurt in Game 1
B. They traded for Rodman in the offseason and now had interior help
Bill Russell was so dominant in college that after his performance for USF at the 1955 NCAA tournament two rule changes were enacted in college basketball, not the NBA: (1) The lane was widened from 6 to 12 feet to make it more difficult to pack in offensively, post up, etc.
Horace grant was right mike shouldn't have mentioned nothing about the cocaine use if it wasn't asked why speak on it
Max didn't mention that when the bulls swept Orlando the next year, it was also due to getting great trades, which included
Dennis Rodman.
If u play and lose no excuses man. Max is so weak with that argument
I never had a problem with Jordan bringing up the "cocaine circus" because the league had a major drug problem by the time he was drafted. I also don't have a problem with Grant coming to his own defense if what Jordan alleged isn't true.
For some reason, Orlando Woolridge, David Greenwood, Quintin Dailey and Sidney Green come to mind........

I heard about the dry use in the 80s ever since I learned of the Len Bias story. The Bulls roster in the 80s was no different than any other. Also I read that The Charolette Hornets has the most minorities employed in the front office and other staff capacities than any team in the NBA.
C'mon Max, the Bulls in 1995 lost because they didnt have a player to fill Grant's role in the Phil Jackson's system. They started to win championships again when they got Rodman to fill the role that Grant left. I believe MJ is one of the greatest players, but championships is a team success. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman/Grant knew their role in the Phil Jackson's system. Even if Michael was the best player in the Bulls and in the league, he needed Jackson, Pippen, Rodman and Grant to win championships, and they knew they needed MJ to win too. MJ was the most dominant player in the 80's in both ends of the floor, but he didnt start to win until the got Pippen and Grant developed as part of player core in the offensive triangle.
What's wrong with Horace, did he see how many persons were interviewed in the documentary. Why is he so pissed 💀😠
Was MJ lying or calling people out? He has always called people out throughout his professional career.
I think the difference here is that this was presented as a documentary and there appears no effort to contact and get the point of view of the people that Jordan was "calling out". So, was this a documentary or ten hours of propaganda? This goes back to what Ken Burns said in his criticism of the series. You can't let the subject have this much control over what is being presented and have it be called the truth. So, to present only one side of the story it falls more into propaganda and allows for people to call Jordan liar and it have some legitimacy.
our hair defies gravity so can we opinions vary
Gern Blanston it wasnt one sided though. They showed Horace saying it wasnt him
Gern Blanston The director himself said MJ never once told him what he could and can’t do, so the whole MJ has complete control narrative is worth nothing
