This mental diarrhea ruined SOD. No question. The fact that they made easy loop questing an equivalent reward to doing the other quests and thereby turned it into "play the game by not playing the game" shows just how bad these incursions are. Literally nobody wanted to actually do them. That's not a win for anyone at all. It's a sign they deliberately designed retail-style garbage to appease the content locusts (and are now pulling the rug out from anyone who maybe had to work or had other obligations those couple days by nerfing it).
Figures a retail player would say this is what we needed. This is the opposite of what classic needs and if you think differently you need to go play retail.
I literally stopped playing WoW originally at Wrath launch I was a Vanilla/TBC/Private Server player lmao

Sucks this event is just like playing retail we don’t need this in classic ..it’s like daily world quest all over again ….
Its now worst aspects of retail and worst aspects of classic combined.
The incursion sucks! The horde/Alli balance is none existent so you get ganked on the way in and then ganked on the way back out with a 2min timer after every death. The zone is a cluster fuck of people. Cant click quest items. trying to tag mobs. fighting with the horde. Same boring repeatable quests. Quests drop into your bag and fill it up! Fills up your quest log! quests cant be shared in the normal way. and to add some further pain to this shit content Druid has runes that require rep from this event! Its like after Shadowlands you would think that blizzard would not bind character progression to untested half baked content but no..... I don't know if I should laugh at Blizzards incompetence or laugh at my self for trying to play Blizzard games in 2024!

Phase 3 is a fucked garbage fire. I've never wanted to log out and unsub so quickly. I'm out in the world playing ALONE. I don't want to play that exploitative retailesque bullshit.

Instead of spending five hours sweating it out, why not just have a quick and easy 1-60 instant button? I mean, you don't seem to care much about enjoying the game world, the quests, or the interactions - you just want to jump into the raid as soon as possible. Maybe you should ask for a raid simulator instead of an MMO RPG if that's all you're interested in. The event feels too crowded, laggy, sweaty, and just overall clunky. Can't we just say it's a poorly designed game with bad gameplay? Because, let's face it, it's just not up to par with WoW or any game whatsoever in the year of 2024

The fact alone that Blizzard is so incompetent that they didn't put boss level guards that attack PvP aggressors on sight next to the quest turn ins for the emerald dream is laughable. Love that the alliance is full of nothing but bullies

Esfand, I remember when SoD first came out, you were very interested in rp. The guild Azeroth Adventure Guild host rp events almost every day of the week. You should join us sometime. We do alot of open world pvp too which I also know is the peanut butter to your jelly.

I like how one of the first things I hear is you talking about going back to GTA RP. Same thing happened when phase 2 dropped. And you even made it a point to say how it was because the viewers were higher for GTA RP. You're being a big sellout and I am so reluctant to use that word cause I've enjoyed your stream for years, I just didn't want to use such aggressive language but I'd want someone to tell me in this situation.
I get that steaming is a job but it's annoying seeing the devs so passionate about this game and you being so hyped and adamant on giving all this support for what is most likely Blizzards last shot to retain a whole demographic of players(Classic players).
Just to do this. It sucks, and it makes me lose a lot of hope cause I always looked up to you as a streamer and a person.
One of the worst parts is on one hand it's Josh Greenfield and a bunch of passionate devs working to revitalize one of the biggest passion projects in gaming history, and on the other hand is a MTX filled game(though I know you play on FiveM) from company highly motivated by greed.
I wouldn't be surprised if the excess of viewers in GTA V you have aren't botted and paid for by Rockstar, you're certainly big enough for it to be a massive marketing move, it's just scummy but probably pretty close to par for the course for Rockstar.
All conspiracy aside man, the worst part is you were THE fucking guy for SoD, surely you recognized how incredibly important you were to it. You were contributing more to the development of SoD than probably some members of the team itself. I've rarely seen anyone give as much support to something in my life and for the love of God it needed it, gamers needed it. Do you realize how important the work you were doing was?
I've already written too much and sorry for that, but this is very important to me and I could write an essay on how valuable you were, not just to SoD, but to the future of gaming, in all honesty and reason. Take care Esfand and take this 5 bucks, it's not much but it shows I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is and hopefully encourages other WoW viewers to do the same.

Sure it "ain't that serious" but I agree with you. I hate that people mock thoughtful and passionate responses to things. Like yeah, of course it doesn't really matter and Esfand is free to play what he wants and make his money how he wants but to me it SUCKS to see him on GTARP 12 hours a day it just DOES. He was so passionate at Blizzcon and about WoW's comeback and his passion and insight is so valued in the classic community! Hell, it brought me to his channel in the first place. I didn't really follow him until I watched his Blizzcon stream last year and his hype and good attitude gave me hope. But whatever he lost my sub and views on Twitch a week into the GTA thing but I guess we're the minority...

It's a season event that like 20 devs put together, its nothing too big or serious. My cousin plays GTA RP nonstop, its quite a social experiment it itself. I'm sure rockstar is even worried about will lose interest in gta 6 and just go back to gta5 rp because its that popular. Raid logging in wow is a 2 hour a week event, wtf is he going to stream with that?

I don't think you really realize how abusable this is. It's honestly really bad. Completely ruined the economy and people are lvl 50 in a few hours from sharing the quests and turning in a full quest log every 15 minutes, earning 100g every time.
It's beginning to feel less and less like classic and more like retail every phase. They need to stick to the simplicity of phase 1 and keep the classic elements alive instead of reinventing the wheel.

I completely agree kerb , what a disappointment phase 3 is. What a bunch of morons who would have ever thought classic players would want repeatable quests should be fired , no lore or adventure at all. I lost my Appetite in the first 3 hours and thr most fun part was doing sm cath with my 4 friends for 2 of the 3 hours

@@Jayj0214 we'll see about the feel around the zones. I think it will liven up after the release hype has settled a little. There's a lot of gold to be earned by questing in other places than the incursion.
They nerfed, relatively fast, the gold reward from the incursion, so that you get 33% of what it was.
To somehow rationalize that its good idea to create content for classic, old version of game thats already dead, is wrong thinking because then all man power that needed or was for retail wow is being used to create something thats out of dated and not lore cannon story but some weird "Oh here is dungeon with new items to drop with extra powerful stats, but there is catch, you cant go beyond level 20 so 75% of wow can be tried to be done in weird setting of 40 man raid"...

I liked the content and new way to do the leveling fast. We've been leveling in classic for years now sometimes something like this is cool.

What makes it Classic+?
All the "new" stuff added to SOD are shit, spells, ideas or content from newer expansions tacked on the corpse of Vanilla. There is nothing in SOD that is in the vein of classic in terms of gameplay, scope or idea. It acts more like retail wow.
Are people having fun? Absolutly. But its Season of Retail, not Classic+

@Rezzax I think their argument is they robbed the game of its foundation when you can level to cap in a day. I was excited about these but I don't even want to do them because I will hit level cap so fast it's like meaningless to even have the leveling at all lol.
Its retail'd classic. None of the new dungeons or items have anything classic about them, classic items made for way more interesting builds and item comps.
All they needed to do was balance so all spec's were viable, instead they had to do their own bullshit and throw in Cata+ spells.
