Great video and the helmet looks great.
To your question about ptt. This is how I solved it.
Run a ptt button with wire so that you have your ptt on your throttle control. That way you can hold your handles while still pressing ptt, having it on the ears is really akward.

Yes!! Thanks for your video. This is one of the best looking built helmets (my opinion) that I’ve seen to date. Only wish there was an actual name for the boom mike .

Nice video! So, we build a lot of helmets here. We use the 30k and 20S evo's. Also, tip. Most dont like the 30k or 20S because they are mounting them behind the ears. The problem with that is you bump it on stuff while flying and next thing you know, you're listening to FM radio or muted your tunes lol!!! You always want to have controls you can easiely access. In front of the muff is ideal for this.

I completely agree with this. I´m not a huge fan of the 30K. It doesn't even really add useful features..

Going through the comments because I really want to find a place to purchase the other mic as well (the non-pointy one). They are impossible to find by themselves. If you happen to find somewhere to purchase them, please comment to this comment. At this point I'd be willing to pay double the price on one, but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

Great observation. Sadly I am in the same boat as you. Best I can tell it comes with the Sena 10 but I´m not even sure of that. (and even then; would it plug into a 30K?) If you learn something more please post it here in the comments. I think several of us would like a solution to that problem.

@@ZADKeel I found it! You need to buy the Sena Helmet Clamp Kit for the SMH10. Part number SMH-A0302. That comes with the non-pointy microphone. Here is a link to it: www.amazon.com/Sena-SMH-A0302-Microphones-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B003YCZ1F0

    1) Thank you so much for making this video! This helmet fits the same way for me and I'm so glad there's a no-cut option!
    2) Check out the Sena SR10 for the two-way radio. It seems to be the way to go, but I'm having trouble finding them for some reason. I have a Yaesu handheld aviation radio from my fixed wing days that I want to tie in, but any aviation band radio should work with that SR10 from what I've seen.

Wow! So glad to hear that this worked for someone else without cutting. I found it way easier to route wires also.

Do you have a part number or item number for the rounded boom mic? I also saw the video by Tucker Gott where he says the rounded one is better. Just can't find it specifically. All images show the mic with the foam cover so you can't see which is which.

how about a materials list or even links to amazon etc... where you purchased your stuff?

    • @ZADKeel
      @ZADKeel  4 года назад +3

Thats a good idea. It's basically all in the video if you pause a lot and look for it but I'll see if I can't put together a list for the comments. May take a bit though.

      William, here's mine:
      Helmet:
      amazon.com/gp/product/B01LKXT146/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
      Ear Cups:
      amazon.com/3M-CapMount-Earmuffs-Chartreuse-X4P3E/dp/B00CPCHFYU/ref=sr_1_19_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=Peltor+hard+hat&qid=1599244366&sr=8-19-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE5QjRHSklINUlZMUomZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxNzY3NzQxSDZNMjlFNFFLR1FNJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxMjM2NzhNSEsxQk03NVg0MUgmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
      I used Sena 50s:
      amazon.com/Sena-Motorcycle-Bluetooth-Communication-System/dp/B085HWBPBR/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=sena+50s&qid=1599244580&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyRTQ5TFpSVVUxQ0VQJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDM5NjcyMjRJOVhPWjMyT1lJRyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzE0MjU2MlBHOERNNzlZM1NVTCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
I haven't bought a strobe yet. But here's the one from the video:
      amazon.com/Collision-Quadcopter-Inspire-Phantom-Typhoon/dp/B07V56HSV9/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=drone+strobe&qid=1599244760&sr=8-7
See Tucker Gott's video for installation of the ear cups to the helmet. That's exactly how I mounted mine. Fast forward to 6 minutes in to see that.

Nice video, I need a helmet that can do 1) Sena communication 2) Go-Pro 3) Strobe 4) Go Pro Charger/Extra power (As seen in a few Tucker's videos / helmets). Go Pro won't last more than 30 min, so a charger is must? Also can you make it and ship/sell it? if someone like me does not want to build this helmet myself? price?

Aviator sells a helmet pretty close to what you spec'd. You should check out tucker gotta helmet video as well. He makes one where he trenches a bunch of stuff inside the helmet for additional vlogger coms. I'm not really in the business, I'm just a guy that likes to make videos and try to help people out. Thanks for the comment!

First a question: what stove is that on the helmet? Can you supply a link please?
Radio: of you want to go Airband then Rexon RHP-530 with Bluetooth. Can also add the sena 2.5mm PTT cable.
If looking to talk with other PPG you can get a Bluetooth adapter for the Baofeng.
