Father I had just finished the Hosea chapter in “If You Believed Moses Vol. 1 and I tuned into RUclips and here you are explaining this patient strategy of winning back Catholics to true Catholicism. Beautiful. I’m totally on board. I’ll have to say about three years I became very uncomfortable with speaking the words, “Crucify him!” and I stopped. Thank you for these wonderful books and your witness to Truth.

Very profound, father. All my life I could not say the words, crucify Him. At times the interior struggle brought me to tears. You have lifted this burden. I am forever grateful that the Holy Ghost was inspiring me to stay silent, even before I understood. Bless you for your courage, father.

I literally just read about Judith and Bethulia today!!!!!!!! Talk about God and His wonderful and mysterious affirmations! And then he starts talking about saying ‘crucify him’. When i went to the NO, i wouldnt say it. I couldnt. Been going to Latin for almost 4 years now. Now I have to seriously look into that genuflection. I love this priest!!!

Good recommendations Father. I’ve been doing similar things when I’ve attended NO Masses for years:
    Always responding in Latin
Use the old form of the Confiteor
    Genuflecting during the Creed
Not sharing the “kids” of peace
Saying the Domine non sum dignus 3 times
Receive communion kneeling and on the tongue ONLY from the priest
    Etc
Just these simple, what should be common liturgical gestures, almost always cause a stir in a NO Mass. I hope they make those witnessing them think about the honor and glory due to Our Eucharistic Lord. 🙏

Question Father. Can you clarify for me exactly what action I am to take during the Good Friday Liturgy? The Triduum is banned here at my church by the Bishop but, only that. We still celebrate the TLM Sundays and Thursday. Last year, as I believe I understood you, I took my 1945 Fr. Lasance Missal and prayed the prayer for the conversion of Jews during the NO consecration. I hope that was correct. Can you clarify when you say genuflect? Sorry for all the questions. I believe in this. I want to get it right. 🙏

I would point out that the destruction of Tradition goes far beyond the church. Traditions in our culture have always been what anchors us, reminding us of who we are as a group and what separates us from "the other". Maybe more importantly, traditions give the individual and the family a way to really shine in their communities.
For example, throughout Europe, there was once a tradition of growing willows so they could be woven into all manner of baskets and such. Families would plant a small copse for their own use, or to make things for the local market. And as a result, that tradition allowed average people to realize their connection with what God created, showed that God's plan is far more intricate than we might imagine, and to garner some accolades for quality workmanship. It was a skill that provided an income, that supported the family in multiple ways.
But then people were talked out of such things. Instead of a locally-made basket made by a local craftsman using local materials, the people were convinced that it was better for them to support a foreigner in some far off area - even if that was just in the 'big city' a few miles away. They were convinced that newer must be better, and to not think about the small craftsman in their own village whom they put out of business.
Today, God's creation is polluted with the plastics and other such things, all mass-produced in factories on the other side of the world and shipped to a store near you. Traditions have been thrown on the rubbish heap right alongside the broken plastic baskets that replaced the willow ones so long ago.
It might not seem like there's a connection, but I can't help but see the deterioration of the Western Nations, Christendom, paralleling the decline of the traditional trades and long-held traditions. Today, people only celebrate their culture a few times a year, wearing it almost like a costume. The rest of the time is spent enraptured by whatever's new and shiny.
Seeing this in the catholic church is no surprise since they have always been quick to surrender to the pressure from outsiders, to quit their traditions in the hope that they might appeal to people who they could never hope to please.

    • @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM
      @ScriptureandTraditionFrJM  Год назад +3

There are changes that can be made, and changes which cannot. But to your point, I am not asking for a change, but to maintain what was done. At the time Quo Primum was written, there was no genuflection during the prayer for the Jews on Good Friday. A genuflection was inserted in 1955 due to Jewish lobbying, not for the salvation of souls or the glory of God.

    • @johnjeffrey3660
      @johnjeffrey3660 Год назад

@@ScriptureandTraditionFrJM I think you miss understood me. I meant that what you’re asking for from the Vatican has already been done with Quo Primum. In other words we already have a papal bull that says we can use the “pre 55”. Everything that we need as grounds to hang on to The true Mass is found in the papal bull of Pope Saint Pius V, Quo Primum. The infallible authority that document has is what we should all be pointing to as we ignore Francis’ invalid attempts at destroying the Mass and Tradition!!!

It seems that if Francis is the pope then the only option is the 1962 missal of John XXIII which had the Canon altered, among other changes, and the new Bugnini Holy Week.

Father Mawdsley even suggests here he was even perhaps too submissive to the Vatican with respect to the pre-55 rites and the changes. Some Martin Luther.

    Is our priest here SSPV???

  • @bobbie8059
    @bobbie8059 Год назад +4

Yes, to go back to pre-1955 Liturgy is very important. A true Catholic cannot accept the New Holy Week of Bugnini.
And with it but still compromising the Canon of the Mass as una cum celebrant (a priest united with a manifest heretic Pope), the effort is useless for there is no help from the Holy Ghost.
Priests know that Church cannot recognize a heretic Pope. But they keep it to themselves to be a non una cum priest. It's not a heroic act.
Arch. Vigano says all the right things. He said it is a crime, a crime for a Pope to do that ...but alas in the end of his letter..he said but I'm not a Sedevacantist. He said everything right, about Vat.II, etc. but he cannot say that Bergolio is not a Pope, he is a false Pope, he is not my Pope because he is...well, he is still confused but he's getting there, said the Sedevacantist. Why are we afraid to speak out?
It is very clear that modernists and heretics are outside the Church..He is just a Pope elect, elected by modernist Cardinals so the Holy Ghost is not with them. The Church is only consisted with faithful, clerics and laity (those in the state of grace and those sinful but their sins are not consisting of 1st and 2nd Commandment) not heretics and schismatic....correct, avoid and ignore them.

The pre-1955 Liturgy can be found at amz as: The Masses of Holy Week: Palm Sunday & Sacred Triduum. It is a little over 100 pages, published by the FSSP, and very inexpensive

@@erniep2369 Oh, thank you very kindly for your reply. But, I was asking because I wanted a copy & paste of the specific prayer, fr. is telling us to say.
If someone already has it, it would be great for him/her to just copy paste it. This way I could readily share it via email and online.
Fr. says that the prayer is in his video.
I’m just hoping he wouldn’t mind if it were posted in the comments here to make it more easily accessible and shareable.

It's in the video description here: ruclips.net/video/ng8NZb-q3ck/видео.html
I'll paste in a comment below soon.
By the way, I would not expect anyone to pray this because I am "telling" them to say it. Rather, we pray it because it is the tradition of the Church. It is a solid and powerful and beautiful prayer, very venerable. Most importantly, it is part of the Church's public prayer, her liturgy, and its ancient pedigree guarantees its goodness (indeed, I believe it longevity means it is illicit to change it except if there were a (hypothetical) slam dunk case of an improvement... such as for example if all Jews converted: why then should it be prayed? But that ain't going to happen with more than one Easter Triduum left before the Last Day.)
      Blessed Christmas Octave!

Traditional Prayer (until 1956 there was no genuflection in the middle).
R. Amen.
Let us pray also for the perfidious Jews: that our God and Lord would remove the veil from their hearts; that they also may acknowledge our Lord Jesus Christ.
[‘Amen’ is not responded, nor is said ‘Let us pray’, or ‘Let us kneel’, or ‘Arise’, but immediately is said:]
Almighty and everlasting God, who drivest not away from Thy mercy even the perfidious Jews: hear our prayers, which we offer for the blindness of that people: that, acknowledging the light of Thy truth, which is Christ, they may be rescued from their darkness. Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God: world without end. R. Amen.

No Pope can bind a future pope to his disciplinary law.
When you say he can I must ask you, where is that written?
Can you cite a Council decree, or perhaps a theological manual that teaches this?

If you are referring to something said in the video, do you have a time stamp for it? Otherwise, I am not sure what you mean.

@@ScriptureandTraditionFrJM 15:58 Where is it written that no one has the right to obstruct the pre 55 Holy Week.
Any law made by a valid pope can be changed or done away with by a future valid pope.

No wonder I did not understand your first comment! Is has nothing to do with what was said in the video.
Given that an immemorial custom has the force of law, what is the force of the traditional liturgy, indeed of the most venerable rites of the Church, many of the elements of which for Holy Week go back 1,700 years or further?
It is a mistake to view the traditional liturgy as a mere collection of disciplinary laws (albeit built around Christ's irreformable institution of each Sacrament). Rather, the Mass transmits the life and identity of the Church. Even by the proclamations of Vatican II, this cannot be changed except for the certain good of the Church. For an explanation of why it is inadmissible to change the Good Friday Prayer for the Jews for the sake of pleasing worldly forces, including the Jews, as articulated by the Secretary of the Holy Office and convincing Pope Pius XI, you can see one of my videos on the Good Friday Prayer for the Jews (at about 17:13 here: ruclips.net/video/ng8NZb-q3ck/видео.html ). What holds as true for one prayer holds with greater force for the liturgy as a whole. Even if you want to argue that someone has authority to introduce radical changes (the 1951-55 changes were planned as precursors to the 1962 and this for the novus ordo -- and this perhaps for the total dissolution of true worship), I do not accept the claim that the old liturgy can be banned or obstructed. No one has the authority to do this. It has never been done (which Pope Pius V illustrates -- he knew he had no power to ban or obstruct venerable rites, but if they were voluntarily surrendered sober).
Again, if we think the liturgy is a matter of law in the hands of the pope, then we have woefully misunderstood the relations between them. The pope is a custodian of Tradition. That is part of his mission. He has no authority to attack Tradition.
