- The disastrous launch of Battlefield 2042 seems to be getting worse and worse as the game is still plagued with bugs, glitches, and cringe voice lines. So why not compare the game with Battlefield 1, which is better beyond anything. Hopefully dice can fix 2042 so it's actually playable and fun because as of right now the only reason to play it is for portal and even that's not as good as we expected.

When it cuts to bf1 footage you can see the atmosphere. With the blip falling, a painful terrifying scream and then a explosion with a plane passing by. *French kiss*

BF2042 for zoomers who prefers graphic, jokes, bright colors, big maps and strange characters in strange clothes with untroditional sexual orientation.
BF1 for boomers/doomers who prefers to play a game with the atmosphere of the world where they got to, with aesthetic outfits and gameplay that takes their breath away.
And another thing that the BF1 is command game where you need your teammates to cover you, while BF2042 is singleplayer until you play multiplayer, where you can do something by yourself.

BF1 is a work of art. Nothing compares to it, everything has so much impact. Just yesterday i was holding an objective and it was a controlled game, looking at the openings with my squad. And then the blimp fell down on us, destroyed the cover and the ground started shaking while the enemies flooded in. In a matter of seconds gameplay changed dramatically, it was a beautiful game

BF1 was the last of the old titles I think. A true passion project that cared little about controversy and stupid stuff like hero characters and cringy skins. Sure some of the skins in BF1 can be a bit garish. But they're not emersion breaking for me. On the contrary, unless it's Christmas seeing an old Russian man running around in a santa suit would make me want an ice cold shower

Battlefield 1 is my first and the best battlefield I’ve ever played. I’ve passed about a thousand hours in this game. But not even BF4, or BFV (which is just a copy of BF1 with new title) can make feel me the same, like I played BF1 for the first time. This is a true masterpiece.
Please, don’t let this game die.

@@joonaskarjalainen2942 is good, but i think they could have done better, instead of looking to fortnite they could have done better maps, some of then are just lazy open fields with zero covers and vehicles are there for being destroyed.
All they did in bf1 was at some point in the same level or superior.
Im not wanna be unfair and judge this game based on cod20- i mean bf2042 because it is not even a bf.
It doesn't has destruction, weapons are a joke, vehicles are also a joke and the maps are all lazy unlike bf5 that had some of them way bettee even those flat fields.

Most of the og developers left during the development of BFV citing EA restricting their creator freedoms etc. Most likely BF1 is last pure, genuinely great Battlefield we will ever get.
EA executives have destroyed this franchise. Why not develop a game that other games want to copy, why just senselessly think what works in fortnite will work in every game? Why push irrelevant and contextually inaccurate 'wokisms' when there is literally zero need. Why completely ignore your fan's suggestions and criticism for the last two releases?
It annoys me, I'm sorry. I loved this franchise.

The peacekeeper animations have more personality than bf 2042 will ever have. It's a grind? Yes. It's satisfying? Yes. Is it worth it? Ask the guys with 100.000 kills with it.

BF1 really felt like it had a lot of heart and care. You always felt like you were part of something big, the maps, the guns and the overall atmosphere was unmatched.
And then came 2042, a game where most soldiers act like teenagers in a resource crisis.

im back in bf1. max graphics at 144hz no issue at all. fyi, bf1 has 15k player count while bf2042 has 9k players. its time to go back to 2016 where things were much simple

2042 could’ve been so much better
So, I gotta ask... What happened? Why is it all so different? I stopped playing BF around the launch time of BF: Hardline. Why is it so vastly different, why is Dice so indifferent now?
Everyone is almost sure it's EA's fault, they saw how much Apex profits with their legends with cool different personalities and how games like Fortnite profits on skins and massacrated BF's vibe of "common soldiers presencing the horrors of war".

Its Been 7, Almost 8 Years Since Battlefield 1's Release, And It Is Still The Best Battlefield Game In My Opinion
Battlefield 1 has been one of the most inmersive multiplayers Ive ever played.
It can be explained with words. You had to play it.
Bf1 still holds up to this day and looks better than 5 and 2042
5 used the exact same engine, they look exactly the same when ut comes to graphical capabilities.
But 5 is a bit too colorful for a ww2 shooter compared to bf1 imo
@@cantinadudeshonestly 5's lighting genuinely looks worse sometimes, like either it's too colorful, or everything is too washed out and white. And the soldiers either blend into the background too much or have this wierd glow to them.

I will die on the "BF2042 feels like CoD" hill. After BC2, BF was definitely more CoD-like than previous BF games but it struck a nice balance without trying to directly compete with CoD (even though it ended up like that). High TTK and less hit feedback is novel BF at this point. 2042 is fun but if I want snappy movement, flamboyent animations, fast-paced gameplay and low TTK with very high hit feedback I'd rather just play CoD. It's like all modern games and movies are starting to blend together now.

it ain't about the theme era a game is made, it is about the quality they put into it. the thing is, with a futuristic theme devs can go creative without any boundaries to be historian accurate (grappling hooks, exoskeletons, light sabers, flying cars, etc.). now look at rdr2, how many out there like wild west shooters? it is probably one of the most unpopular themes, yet the game is great lol

On the french map with poppys, i had a clip where i jumped into a trench and bayonet charged and stabbed with melee weapon, atleast 8 enemies in rapid succession right after the other and was just going insane before they killed me

When EA discovered that those who produce the games are programming workers and not the entrepreneurial spirit lol, whoever programmed the Battlefield 1 engine, half left the company in 2017 and the rest in 2019, abandoning the project, so they had to hire others , and guess what? they don't know how to use the engine to its maximum potential, and guess what? the result is BF 2042 lol, everything has hardworking hands involved, don't let dystopian company slogans do this to us.

I'm one of those weirdos in BF1 who cannot play unless I'm using faction accurate weapons. I have to prepare my loadouts ahead of time.
BATTLEFIELD 1 was an excellent work, but the problem with team balance was more noticeable. Also, it's very difficult to unlock weapons, so I don't recommend it if you start playing now. I envy people who own Peacekeeper.

In battlefield one you actually feel like your in war
Battlefield 1 has Fairfight which keeps your game free of cheaters, it basically force them to play legit, it even picks up on esp'ers.
No one "wants" to be on the battlefield. The people that put themselves on the front line did what they had to, but if given the option they would most likely rather things go peacefully. I think EA lost the plot when it came to 2042 about this. The characters in that game act like they know they are in a game and want to be there, killing each other.

Trying to defend the base or trying to capture it while losing all your men. Your not sure if you can win if you do then it was a close call but not? Then good game it was close there’s all ways next time. You get bumped and start charging and screaming to victory!

BF1 is where you have fun doing warcrimes. BF2042 is when your math teacher insist that a 42 page long homework just 5 minutes before your last day in school before springbreak is fun.

Even today, I still don't like BF1 as much as BF3,4, or bad company 2. The atmosphere of 1 is fantastic, the soundtrack is perfect, the single-player stories are alright (best being the runner by far) but overall it needed the love over those updates to get it even close to par with BF4. The game is still good by all means, but has some terrible balance issues with vehicles and SMGs but still definitely feels like a BF game. BFV even after all the updates it had doesn't even come close, it was too political at launch and when they said "if you don't like it, don't buy it", the game practically died. 2024 didn't even feel like battlefield anymore, and even with the portal mode, severely lacked content. If they had just gotten rid of the operator format entirely and focused on brining out more maps/weapons, it would have probably been an alright game at best since it did introduce some interesting stuff with the gadgets, calling in vehicles, and larger maps/player count were all decent changes. It just fell so short with how unfinished it felt.
