    I thought the hate was unnecessary when the ride was first announced. But I’m kind of shocked with what they ended up doing with it all. A retheme of splash mountain based off of princess and the frog sounded good on paper… idk why they didn’t use dr facilier a single time, or why the first part of the ride is focused on vegetables. I just think if you paced the ride around the actual story of the movie and the frog transformation for the end, it would have worked great.

      You know what doesn’t make sense? Trying to make a ride for kids on a thrill ride… I see a lot of people saying that this ride is just meant to be for small kids and I’m thinking how many small children are really gonna want to go on this ride let alone make the height requirement? There’s gonna be a lot of kids who are not gonna be able to experience it at all, what if they’re afraid of heights? so many kids are gonna be missing out on the opportunity of a ride.

      @@Gumiho89 I think this is the fatal flaw with the ride: it completely forgets it's supposed to be a thrill ride, and the story feels like it's pandering to kids too small to even be allowed to ride. This would be cute as a standalone Fantasyland ride, but utterly lacks as a thrill ride.

    • @Gumiho89
      @Gumiho89 Месяц назад

      @@A_A610 I completely agree, even if they were to have added the dark elements from the movie, I still think that wouldn’t change the fact that we’re talking about a thrill ride and if you’re gearing it towards children, you need to find something that all children can enjoy. I do think New Orleans Square would’ve been a good fit for a ride, but considering how small the “real estate” is in that area, Fantasyland could definitely be a good alternative!

    • @A_A610
      @A_A610 Месяц назад

    Tiana's Bayou Adventure could have been the retheme of either the Jungle Cruise or of Pirates of the Caribbean. All solutions bring new problems. these three rides had "problematic issues" because people had fun on them! Splash Mountain had little charm. Why would Doctor Facilier be there since this occurs AFTER the events of the film and Facilier was taken away at the end? This ride was never designed to retell the story of the film. As for Splash, that did not have much of a story either.

    • @kyramahlervolleyball
      @kyramahlervolleyball Месяц назад +2

      Did you ride the ride? I'm not gonna elaborate on the story too much, since you can literally watch a ride POV. Br'er Rabbit runs away from Br'er Fox and Bear, Br'er Rabbit tricks Br'er Fox and Bear into going into a cave invested with bees (the laughing place), Br'er Fox smashes Br'er Rabbit in a beehive to trap him and brings the Br'er rabbit to his lair, Br'er Rabbit escapes using reverse phycology telling the Br'er Bear to throw him into the briar patch (The drop), Br'er Rabbit escapes since he was born and bred in the Briar Patch, The end. Either way it's better and more interesting then looking for a band members/Mama Odie/the party/the special spice, I don't even know the plot it's so basic and boring.

    Zippa de do don't! This is what Disney has become. A piece of crap, from a garbage company. They've turned the masterpiece of splash mountain created by arguably one of the greatest imagineers ever, and turned it into probably the worst attraction of it's kind. Monster Mansion at Six Flags over Georgia is superior to this garbage attraction. No storytelling to be seen here. No drama or suspense.

    Be honest how can you not love it??? How awesome is it that Disney Imagineering used the salt mines of Avery Island, Louisiana, used during the Civil War, to create the entrance to the ride, so exciting to ponder the fate of up to 500 black slaves at a time while they toiled and were tortured during the Civil War (See Rice University - Avery Island for further details) covered in infected open sores from the salt, chained at the ankles and to each other and knowing they died in agony while you wait in the entrance to the ride. How brilliant of Disney to use a well documented place of heinous abuse of black people for a family ride!!! Imagine the merchandise that can be created and sold (especially for the Halloween nights) honoring certainly some the worst treatment of blacks in American History!!! Just keep in mine for those who don't appreciate beautiful fun Imagineering, for the squeamish, Disney has put up a sign on Tiana's Bayou stating "Salt Mines - Reserved - For Seasoned Veterans", meaning the tortured slaves.
