I strongly agree, my biggest issue with this game is the drones they ruin the immersion and makes stealth feel impossible, when you blow up a drone in stealth they get suspicious it’s so annoying.

I got in long after most of the glitches were fixed and gear score was gone, so story is what is lowest for me. The wolves and walker do hard carry it but just aren't there enough. Walker should've felt like a presence like Sueno in Wildlands. I always hated the outcasts and homesteaders too, it should've been like working with the remnants of a skell security force that was there before sentinel was hired and US marines from the carrier that kept getting mentioned. Working with these dinky people who just were lame really hurt the story.
Yeah, I never liked how instead of working with military people and security forces from the island itself, we were working with hillbillis, terrorists and nerds. Never did a faction mission for them, jesus they were boring.
Except for Syringe Mk.2. For some odd reason it doesn't override the "syringes heals injury option". Which I had find it odd. But, fighting walker is nothing but a joke...
If they wanted to add survival elements (since you’re supposed to be in a deadly/hostile environment) they should’ve scrapped the home base feature and instead went for more of a MGS3 feel. Having to hunt for food in the wild and being able to set up camp anywhere would be much more satisfying than just fast traveling back to some little home base no one cares about. It’s a safe feeling place where you can just spawn in vehicles and whatever else you want, and that really detracts from the “survivor” feel.
I know what you mean the closest you can get is to kill an animal and go to bivouac and do all preparations you will drink water eat and stretch and write notes
one think breakpoint messed up was with the behemoth drones, even when you're supposedly hitting the weakpoints they are tanky AF and even though they got some glowing blue things those only shut them down for a bit instead of actually doing lasting damage like slowing their tracks or stuff
You hit the nail on the head and these are all exactly the reasons that I stopped playing it after a few hours when I've beaten wildlands multiple times including in ghost-mode and still have so much fun with it.
Yeah me too right after finishing WL I started playing Breakpoint and played for 5 hours then dropped it Ide probably have kept playing but too long between missions and no fast travel early on or fast choppers where as in WL there was almost always a chopper a quick drive away.
@@santino2606 true, BP has soo many features that are better executed in BP than wildlands: better shooting, better animations, weapon Smith is more customizable... but everything else around the game let's me enjoy it for maybe an hour and then I put it down.
The biggest thing for me is the always online as I recently don't have a constant internet connection and those damn tanks, still get on Wildlands once in a while just to unlock a gun or attachment and they aren't least free.
I agree with this video, when you play wild lands, you immediately have fun, when you play breakpoint you have to try and have fun, and personally I couldn’t it felt like a chore to play
I think Auroa was a beautiful setting actually. Moving through the rainforest during a rain storm or across mountain peaks at sunset was genuinely moving for me and reminded of how games are truly an art form even though the limitations of last gen really held it back. I never played when it was a looter shooter but immersive mode on hardest difficulty really addresses any problems i had with it being to 'divisiony'. Overall I really enjoyed the setting of a corrupted utopia. There were many times I thought about how much I'd like to live on Auroa and it made me angry that sentinal had ruined it. A lot of the story was campy but the major chracters were actually well developed people. I really like how Nomad was a little bit sassy. He came off as a guy who wasn't happy about the situation his principles had gotten him into but he was going to stick them regardless. A much more well developed version of the character than wildlands. The gunplay is certainly better than wildlands and so is the gameplay (no hud, max tactical difficulty) in general with a few exceptions. Not being able to set multiple C4 charges across a base really pissed me off. A game that could be better and could have recovered if the publisher didnt bail out.
Your criticisms of Breakpoint are valid. I've been playing since launch and absolutely love the game despite it's many flaws. Immersive mode definitely saved the game, however, it wasn't immersive enough for me :P. My play style is all about restrictions in this game. If you want a really fun "Survival Mode/Lone Ghost" style of play for Breakpoint, try this: - Start an new game on Immersive Mode with Extreme Difficulty. No HUD or very limited HUD. One primary weapon, few bandages, injuries on high. - DO NOT select any Class or skills. Zero. So, no Parachute or Night Vision throughout the entire game and extremely limited crafting. - No vehicle spawning or fast travel (unless your stuck in the map). If you want to fly a Helicopter you have to steal one. Same for vehicles. Also, all vehicles have fuel or power. Ranging from 5-10 minutes depending on the vehicle. Small helicopter is 5 mins. Bigger one is 10, for example. - AI Teammates. If you want to use AI Teammates you first have to "rescue" them from Wolf Encampments that are holding Outcasts. - You can only change your weapons and gear at Erewhon (via their 3D printer and supplies) or stuff you've taken off dead Wolves, Sentinels, and Outcasts. Weapons, backpacks, vests, clothes, etc. - Dress for the weather. T-shirts, tank tops, and rolled up sleeves when its warm, jacket, scarves, and gloves for the cold, etc. - Crafting can only be done in Erewhon or a bivouac. If you run out of bandages during a firefight...oh well. - Backpacks. If your using a backpack you have access to your entire inventory. If you're not wearing one you only have access to what's on your inventory wheel. So plan accordingly if you want to sneak into a base with an ultra low profile. - Food. This is optional really. You can eat and drink at a bivouac for that extra bit of immersion. This style requires a LOT of discipline to say the least. It can be very tempting to break the rules at first but after a while it becomes more natural and you may end up restricting yourself more, like only being able to steal a helicopter if there is a Bagman on the base that has the "keys" and you'll need to kill him first! ;)
Even if they were to fix a lot of these issues, the fact that the game is online only would keep me away knowing it has a time limit before being shut down is a good enough reason to not touch it
It's almost as if the ENTIRE Game was designed from the Ground up to get players to spend more money in the store. I'm done with Ubisoft, they are officially a trash company. Fun fact: they literally switched voice actors just over money, they didn't want to PAY the same voice actor increased wage due to his notoriety, so they settled for the new Nomad instead because he was much cheaper. EVERYTHING about this game SCREAMS *Budget Budget Budget* it's a sham.
Land a helicopter, go to mission, grab a boat, complete mission, head back to chopper - its gone. Likewise, wipe out a base, blow up sam sites, travel 5 minutes up the road, then return to find ALL npc's and sam sites etc all respawned and back to nornal. Like wtf kind of dumb af mechanic was that to put in your game?!
The menus to change the weapons When u unlock allot of them , u scroll for hours to get the gun u want But it's done when well when you look for a weapon locations And the inventory system where u have limited item to use ad forces you to have bandage and empty bullets in the wheel menu If atlest i can use a syringe from the pause menus but no U have to replace a nade with the syringe to use it
I've only just started playing this game, about 5 weeks ago. I love it, the immersive mode is a God send!! I agree the world lack the Immersion like Wildlands
I personally love Breakpoint but that’s probably because me and my friend but tons of hours into it. It’s fun but you just need to find the right way to play it.
@@mythically_odd YUP!!! You're absolutely right. I played Conflict Global Terror with a friend and it was considered a shit game, but it was fun af for me.
Breakpoint's open world was great except they could have made it so that player actions can change and shape it like when they added resistance mode it should have been that if you take x amount of checkpoints then the resistance forces would take them over along with the area
I was against the loot score system but replaying through it again by yourself with the score on is actually really enjoyable to me I don’t just go find the best gun possible and use the same thing the entire game I switch my weps and loadouts and approach things very differently
I actually really liked this island, story and setting. I just wish there was more tactical complexity. Ideally, there should be something in the spirit of MGS V. The game is already very similar, but something is missing. Operation Motherland had missions that made the game more interesting, such as destroying vehicles without raising the alarm. Ubisoft just needs to be a little more creative
Making it similar to a metal gear series would've been a great idea , but they made this game so freaking generic , not tactical or hardcore at all , the mechanics ,open world , AI , gear polish, this game was just so boring , even thr 3rd person camera was worsr after the demo , it was too close
If it was released in the operation motherland format but with the options of survival or tactical mode also it would have been successful I feel. Also should have been scripted as a future soldier sequel.
The only problem with the gear level for me it was the 252+ gears that is locked on the multiplayer side. I tried starting a raid using the public matchmaking for 3 days straight and I failed. Yeah, I cannot even find a team to start the raid, so I am stuck at 252 gear level.
2:30 I think nails it on the head. The game world lacks culture, and history. Which is true due to the context of the island. But there is no cultural significance to the island. It's a lifeless, soulless location. Another issue is the design of the missions. Motherland does rectify the issues somewhat, but Wildlands gave you multiple goals that felt self-driven by comparison.
To be honest I'm a fan of both games, and I enjoyed Breakpoint more, compared to wildlands, as it was a major upgrade, in terms of gunplay. However in terms of storytelling it was alright, but it wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad, in my opinion, so in other words, Wildlands story, on the other hand, was much better, as it had much better depth, compared to breakpoints story. Now both games are in their own ways, how ever Interms of progression and storytelling Wildlands, dose it much better than breakpoint, etc. Now onto the open world aspect of the game, I would have to say, Wildlands dose better than Breakpoint, as there is plenty of things for you to do, compared to Breakpoint. Breakpoints open world is good, but it isn't terrible, but it isn't the best, as it should have been worked on, just abit more. By now I think you get the picture of what I'm getting at. Now onto the things I don't like about both games. The main thing I really hate about Breakpoint is that you need a constant online connection, so if you want to buy and play the game, without having a constant online connection, we'll.. You're shit out of luck, as the game will just soft lock you, until you get a online connection. Which means that if you are poor and can't afford an internet connection, then I highly recommend that you don't buy Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Now with Wildlands, the main thing that I don't like, is how Ubisoft being Ubisoft, locked abunch of the cool items, behind a loot box paywall, which isn't too bad, as Ubisoft gave you in game currency for you to grind, and another thing I hate about Wildlands is that, it's a little grindy compared to Breakpoint, as majority of the items are mostly locked behind a paywall. As for Breakpoint, on the other hand, majority of the ingane items, aren't, and alot of them can be optained, but of course the cool stuff were actually locked behind a multiplayer mode, called the raid, which didn't really set well with alot of players, myself included, to the point we're Ubisoft made another update, where you can optain those items, while playing game, which ultimately saved Ubisoft from being criticized to oblivion, in my opinion. For breakpoint, and I think you might all agree on this one, is the God damn drones, and yes I understand that they are only in the game, to make it more difficult, and Balance out the game, but they are just so God damn annoying, however thankfully, Ubisoft added an update, that ultimately saved breakpoint, that basically allows you to play however you want, and you can actually disable certain enemy types, etc, so this is minor issue. Now I personally don't mind the drones, but they can be a huge pain in the ass if you don't have the patience for them. Now Interms of progression, Wildlands dose better than breakpoint, as you're character, actually has a skill progression system, that for some reason Breakpoint dose not, but instead is replaced with the shity class system, which is fine, but it can get annoying, where you have to constantly switch classes to use certain weapons better, it's not a bad idea but I would prefer Wildlands skill pregression System over Breakpoints crappie class perk system. Now Interms of gameplay and Gunplay I will have to say Breakpoint dose better at then Wildlands, as you're character, actually his fluidity in his movement, and just overall feels more tactical, and realistic, compared to you're character in Wildlands, where you're character, just feels more stiff like. For gunplay Breakpoint dose better at, as it looks and feels more realistic, compared to wildlands gunplay.
You forgot 1 major point Storywise..... the horrible cutscenes.... In Wildlands your character is shown in the cutscene how YOU dressed him or her BUT in Breakpoint your character is always only shown with the minimum of equipment although you give him or her Balaclava or different masks, helmets, glasses etc. ALL those things gets stripped away if a cutscene starts and after it ends, your character is wearing everything again.. the way you dressed. That's espacially annoying during Missions where you fight enemies but during the fight you have to talk with a character. So it goes from wearing all your gear to wearing only pants, shirt and platecarrier and a pistol back to wearing all your gear again.
I believe the story line was boring as well as there were several other ways the game story could've gone which were highlighted in wildlands. The thing about the wildlands story line was it was a semi realistic story line which most people could relate to. At the end of wildlands where sueno was caught the dialouge they talked about consisted of break off catels terrorist cells. I do understand they may have gotten into trouble for highlighting Bolivia but they could've gone maybe to eastern Europe Asia based open world made off of a strange name and make the atmosphere even more lively than wildlands. The skell story line was so boring and they ripped off fallen ghosts off of wildlands to create motherland to keep players interested in breakpoint. I only have one positive out of breakpoint and that's the more realistic gun player with bullet drop and recoil
Aside from the ones in the video I would say my biggest poblem was actually the enemy faction. Going up against a military organization just felt so...mundane? Wildlands was such a nice throwback to og Ranbow Six with its drug cartels and terrorists,Breakpoint going back to Soldier on Soldier action just felt really uninspired. Didnt help that only the enemy profited from the drone-focused setting while the player was stuck with just a hover drone(no seriously,if you already have to choose such a boring scenario, why not at least go wild with it like Future Soldier?).
Another opinion: missions are so boring, I tried to get on breakpoint again recently and honestly every mission I do I never end up finishing, it doesn’t feel engaging at all. Every side character felt so boring when they talked and the villains in this game felt so watered down. In wildlands, it’s actually really cool the way they brief us individually about every villan and side villan we are up against. Plus the banter between nomad and the squad, breakpoint they hardly even talk at all other than give callouts. Customization in breakpoint in my opinion is better but it doesn’t make up for the lack of a good story and open world that feels extremely lifeless
My biggest complaint, the badguy AI wont see your teamates AI until they fire at them or if they spot u. I had a baddie bump into one of my guys and both were like oh my bad, pardon me.
The only thing it did wrong was the world felt dead, like no culture, no npc life. Bolivia nailed that. but EVERYTHING else, breakpoint is superior. I beat both games, I know.
What they should've done is to make some civilian NPCs attack the player at random or at different times. So that way it can make things more interesting. Instead of "I am a friendly NPC trope". Which I don't know why it felt forced when you go to the "main camp" and being "safe". It removes the "survival" aspect IMO.
So ok then think about this. I have been playing the game just over 3 week's and at the 2 week's mark I had fell through the map 3 times, had a chopper despawn and vanish with me and my team inside it, getting killed by wolves then upon coming back to play none of my equipment would work, no select fire, no actual fire, no explosives, no drone, not even my tac map worked. Since playing after that up to now I have noticed texture problem's and things like walls looking like static TV screens that have grain movement as you pan around. Weird af. Then there is the clunky mechanics that take an eternity to catch up to movement. Then what about being like a 1000 meters away from a camp thats been made aware of your presence due to sniping, you look through your scope and you have enemy AI stuck in one spot with their legs moving as if running on a treadmill. Then there is audio problems, sometimes you'll rack your weapon and hear its movement, other times just silence? All this has happened in just over 3 weeks so not even a month. It works to a degree, I admire what they tried to do but they've never delivered on this game, it was a mess upon release and its still not great now. So much so I am planning to compile all these BS things to show people here what it actually runs like on latest gen consoles. Probably runs better on PC plus there are mods to make your game better, but on console its a anti climactic game of 50-50, 50 being good and 50 being bad!
For me, it's general movement and the new pre-animations before you start moving. It should not take a half second to turn your character and another second to start moving. Ghost Recon is a tactical shooter where precise movement is the key to everything. It should have remained strafing for low to medium speeds (where the camera is at your back always), and free cam for sprinting. I see people defending this glorified input lag as "realism", but I'd say go watch any tactical shooting drill videos/ active combat footage/ MMA/ Boxing/ Baseball/ Basketball/ Soccer, or any physical human activity to see that we naturally use strafing footwork in "real life" athleticism. You're not getting shot at in a war setting and slowly planting your feet and turning your side towards the enemy to jog out of danger. They need to go back to Wildlands/older titles movements. They could make more dynamic and realistic strafing animations. You should not be fighting sticky cover and locomotion mechanics in a game like this. I love and hate this game so much. And a dedicated 'interact' button press instead of this "hold x" to interact. ffs 😂
Playing with the HUD completely off, immersive mode and changing the world parameters to have drones off and the resistance in the world makes it pretty decent, but these days I usually just play the PvP since it's unique in it's own right, too bad PvP requires gear score though, doesn't really seem to affect me much as I can kill someone at a much higher GS than me anyway.
I picked up breakpoint from ps premium... First time playing it, I'm having a good time thus far, playing in immersive mode... Damn behemoths kick my ass tho lol
You can turn off the majority of the drones, excluding specific spawns that can be ignored, and some missions, and during combat where some sentinels can deploy drones that take very few shots to destroy. Breakpoint has much better monetization than Wildlands, it has more free cosmetics available than Wildlands, and Wildlands had loot boxes. Personally I do think Aurora is worse than Bolivia but at the same time don't think it's offensively bad. I do really wish breakpoint had that feeling of being hunted more prevalent since it's marketing gave a strong impression of such.
It have alot of great things, animations, gameplay.. I would enjoy more with a different map with more environements, and robots and drones aren't my thing but i really liked this game though
First second on the game and it was running at 1 fps because you have to lower your terrain quality to LOW or else it lags after you pause. First minute I realized how delayed the movement feels, especially noticable when you press a,d,a,d repeatedly. If you think thats not a delay, theres a brain issue... First hour I was complaining about how I had to sit through long pointless dialogue that was unskippable and I had to just stand there and watch... Sometimes while being shot at, or in the middle of an objective, then I talk to someone since its effecient to get it out the way while im there, then they take 5 mins of my time in the middle of my immersion to tell me some pointless stuff. First day on the game I realized HOW POINTLESS EVERYTHING IS... all the side missions, all the blueprints, everything. Once you have your desired setup... now what? clear a base like you haven't already done that on repeat? First week on the game and decided to start a new character and ONLY DO MAIN MISSIONS until I beat the game. First month this game will be lucky if Im still playing it in a month. I want to beat it and uninstall this abandoned game that could have been as groundbreaking as fortnite, they just failed immensely at the most MINOR details, and I mean that literally. THE MOST! MINOR DETAILS! SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS GAME. IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND THEY QUIT LUL
I got Breakpoint on sale though haven't played it that much yet. Btw reason I got breakpoint instead is because of more engaging combat. It's one of the reason I didn't buy WD Legion, every enemy are the same and no variety.
In real life, the Island used to be a miltary base lease by the UK to the US military. That's why there is no radio. It was sold to Jacob Skell and he turned it to a tech island
If a place like it really existed I'd do every thing I could to live there. It looked like an absolute amazing place filled with hope and technological marvels. Almost like another planet.
We need a new tactical shooter that's like Wildlands, Far Cry 5 and R6: Vegas 2. Come one Ubi I've been milking these games for YEARS. Get good at ur job
The game, despite having good ideas, deserves its horrible reputation. Fun could...hypothetically, be had but there is alot of pretending you have to do to trick yourself into thinking the game was better designed. Ghost Recon is not Farcry, its not Splintercell, its not Assassins Creed. Immersive mode was better, but because loot was intended to be the main driver of progression, turning it off makes the world even more bland then it already was. Yes, roleplaying is always fun, but why can't those features and restrictions we self impose on ourselves ACTUALLY be in the game? The story was seemingly directed by Steven Segal because its GOD AWFUL, which is sad because it had ideas with potential. Survival mechanics are pretty meaningless and have little impact. How hasnt the tech for our AI teammates improved at all? Why do they have no personality? Why do they keep moving when I say stop? Why dies the game have no personality? FarCry 2 still feels like the most immersive game we'll get from ubisoft and thats sad. Yes, you can have "fun" in the game, but it does not excuse all the bad in it. Cristism is the only way the next game isn't another bland medicore ubisoft game.
My main issue with Wildlands was the fucking loot crates and locking guns behind a pay wall, which Breakpoint kinda doesn't do unless you count stupid skins. Still bad but, less bad
I really want the next iteration of Ghost Recon to draw inspiration from Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, with the action taking place in North Korea. Frankly, Ghost Recon Breakpoint failed to meet my expectations, and I struggle to comprehend why the developers strayed from the semi-realistic backdrop of Wildlands.
You could genuinely shoot farther just by having more skills that increase range, as opposed to the guns defining your range. Wildlands will always feel more real even in gameplay, because of goobisoft rpg level systems ruining everything. It sucks that even in realism mode you still have to get certain skills to achieve the best range on a sniper rifle.
i hate that they spawn random troops all over the island , it's like every 100 meters the game just spawns a new squad of enemies. in wildlands i appreciated the times when you could walk longer distances without seeing anyone, it kind of helped making the action feel more impactful/memorable. also i miss the dense jungle where it felt like you where isolated from the outside world changing into green and blending in. last i gotta say these graphics are boring everything looks like plastic, the colour and everything looks grey and bland even the forest looks dull compared to wildland's with it's older forest tech
@@JULR0W I suppose about Ezio trilogy has good fashion, but it's just color and full costume swaps. I haven't played rogue but I've seen Shay's outfits and they look cool. And I liked Jacobs outfits in Syndicate with his different hats.
I think Ubisoft should go back to the classic one, a chaos theory type of gameplay but a bit mondernized. I think hardcore fans will like that. It's funny because Chaos Theory is still considered the greatest stealth game of all time and it came out almost 2 decades ago and no modern games comes close to overthrowing the classic title, maybe for a few titles like MGSV, Hitman, TLOU2. Make Ubisoft great again! Bring back Splinter Cell.
My biggest disappointment with the game was it was marketed as "You are badass special forces guy, being hunted by other bad ass special forces guys" i mean the name is literally "breakpoint' Implying youd reaching your characters breaking point.. only to find out it refers to the players breaking point of boredom. I purposely didnt watch gameplay or reviews when it came out cus i was excited by the concept. but the second i left the main base and realized i was given A FUCKING HELICOPTER i immediately lost any hope or hype left in me. Like i wanted an experience where im cut off from resources, i have to do Wolverine red dawn type shit to survive. To get a helicopter or other flying transportation takes time, effort, and risk. Getting good weapons and ammo for them would take some effort. (I was not a part of previous installments of Ghost Recon when i bought Breakpoint so I didnt know this didnt fit the ghost recon franchise anyway this just what i thought would happen from all the ads i saw)
I actually didn't mind the loot , gave you rewards, and pushed you to use new weapons. I still played in ghost mode just kept the tiers it makes it easy to dismantle weapons and get A LOT of crafting materials.
I always found the dumbing down of enemy NPC reactiveness just comical and immersion-killing in this game. Note moments like at 5:48 . Even with AI set to highest difficulty In Breakpoint, you really can solo 1v5 right in the enemy's face without cover. I guess to balance for playing without AI teammates and syncshots? In Wildlands, all 5 would've immediately opened fire on the player from that range. Stealth and diversion tactics or at least cover use was more integral to combat. If you miss even a single sicario in scouting, and they later happen to get close, it can be a problem. Not in Breakpoint, though.
i beg to differ with the world part. yes maybe there should be more biomes but it definitely isnt bland. You have to give them credit for making such a huge world with diffferent place to go to and explore. The only thing i think they should work on is there water mechanics
@@stas7378 yeah I agree, it's especially apparent when driving and you're the only one on the road. no more grabbing a passing car and bundling in with your mates to chase a truck or anything like that
@@mariosencario and the cars suck as well. even the road structure aint that great and literally sometimes helicopters are the best way to get to objectives……
First of all, the way the story being chop into piece for DLC break the game. The antagonist and their cronies are forgettable Second, the setting compare to Wildland like day and night. The street is dead, only Sentinel patrol running around. Thirdly, to many places to explore but nothing there to explore. If you notice, there is a lot of environment story telling similar to Skyrim but if the environment itself is boring and empty, the story not going to be interesting.
This was one of the first games I played when I got a Series X last year, it really showcased the 60fps Gameplay and graphics. I loved it for a Month or 2 and then it just got so boring and repetitive, and most of all...empty. I never felt invested in most of the missions, it just seems generic at times. Lifeless in a way. A shame because it's a beautiful looking game
The biggest problem in this game is how much unnecessary UI there is in the menu's (objective board for example) and ofcourse the microtransactions. Its not even funny anymore ITs such a damn slopfest. Its still quite buggy Gunplay is also not great but not terrible. The 4.5x scope is trash. Looting to oblivion is trash.
So far I think this game is much better than wildlands. While I can understand about Bolivia vs aurora. However, I prefer a life like environment that fits the story. Not a video game level that was clearly made for video game reasons. Bolivia was pretty bland in scenery unless you love desolate environments. I much prefer forests and pretty scenery.
Breakpoint feels so clunky. Just basic movement, climbing up ladder etc lacks control and at times your character does whatever but not what you tell him to. Thats my biggest issue. I love RPG. Even like this.
I'll add to your list the fact that Breakpoint released as a solo experience instead of a squad based experience. The survival, lost boyscout flower picking looter shooter is NOT Ghost recon. Jon Berthal was a wasted opportunity for Breakpoint but they underused him and he couldn't save poor writing despite him being an amazing actor. I also hated Breakpoint UI, that cursor crap HAS to go on console. Weapon variants also shouldn't return aswel as the bullet sponge drones, I know drones are realistic but ubi implementation of drones uncontrolled, and with unlimited ammo with unrealistic movements are NOT fun for gameplay.
I bought it when it was on sale with like $20, played about 20 hours and i feel like i wasted my money and time. ・Characters are boring and generic and also cringy ・Microtransactions (as always Ubisoft) ・The world is bland and it just has tons of spots to clear & loot and that's about it ・Always on online but when i met a guy in game, tried to be friends with him, my game crashed, there's no system in game that can find players you played with, since then i never met the guy i actually felt like i can be friends with. You can just tell Ubisoft games are not made with love and passion it's sad. It's really bad when you have to use MODs to make game enjoyable.
I strongly agree, my biggest issue with this game is the drones they ruin the immersion and makes stealth feel impossible, when you blow up a drone in stealth they get suspicious it’s so annoying.

I always hated the outcasts and homesteaders too, it should've been like working with the remnants of a skell security force that was there before sentinel was hired and US marines from the carrier that kept getting mentioned. Working with these dinky people who just were lame really hurt the story.
Your character can threaten them and these dweebs just respond with some snarky, passive-aggressive comment
The having to always be connected online killed it for me.
The whole survival and immersive aspect of the game feels so much like a last minute update. Doesn't really mesh well,
one think breakpoint messed up was with the behemoth drones, even when you're supposedly hitting the weakpoints they are tanky AF and even though they got some glowing blue things those only shut them down for a bit instead of actually doing lasting damage like slowing their tracks or stuff
I didn't play it because of the always online requirement for a singleplayer game. I loved wildlands though.
I totally agree regarding the drones. If there is a drone in a base, that means you cannot clear it stealthy.
If you want a really fun "Survival Mode/Lone Ghost" style of play for Breakpoint, try this:
- Start an new game on Immersive Mode with Extreme Difficulty.
It can be very tempting to break the rules at first but after a while it becomes more natural and you may end up restricting yourself more, like only being able to steal a helicopter if there is a Bagman on the base that has the "keys" and you'll need to kill him first! ;)
This video summed up everything perfectly. The drones annoyed me too, but I understand why they're in the game.
Even if they were to fix a lot of these issues, the fact that the game is online only would keep me away knowing it has a time limit before being shut down is a good enough reason to not touch it
Perfect summary. Wildlands felt like a real place, immersive as all hell. You cannot even break glass in breakpoint. 😂
The menus to change the weapons
When u unlock allot of them , u scroll for hours to get the gun u want
But it's done when well when you look for a weapon locations
And the inventory system where u have limited item to use ad forces you to have bandage and empty bullets in the wheel menu
If atlest i can use a syringe from the pause menus but no
U have to replace a nade with the syringe to use it
I've only just started playing this game, about 5 weeks ago. I love it, the immersive mode is a God send!! I agree the world lack the Immersion like Wildlands
I personally love Breakpoint but that’s probably because me and my friend but tons of hours into it. It’s fun but you just need to find the right way to play it.
Playing bad games with friends is fun regardless. It has good ideas but executes non them correctly or with enough depth.
Yeah, they’re still missing the radio in some music who is the Adsom but it’s 2:52 not fun anymore
Didnt help that only the enemy profited from the drone-focused setting while the player was stuck with just a hover drone(no seriously,if you already have to choose such a boring scenario, why not at least go wild with it like Future Soldier?).
you got all the major gripes that I had with the game exactly. here's hoping that Ubisoft learn their lesson and do better next time
Another opinion: missions are so boring, I tried to get on breakpoint again recently and honestly every mission I do I never end up finishing, it doesn’t feel engaging at all.
I start playing wildlands few months ago, now its one of my favorites game and i will never play breakpoint, cause lifeless map is a big issue to me
Same i get bored if a map is boring
What they should've done is to make some civilian NPCs attack the player at random or at different times. So that way it can make things more interesting. Instead of "I am a friendly NPC trope". Which I don't know why it felt forced when you go to the "main camp" and being "safe". It removes the "survival" aspect IMO.
You should make a video on the division games
And a dedicated 'interact' button press instead of this "hold x" to interact. ffs 😂
They both have Sam fischer missions and those are awesome.
I played wildlands within the year and loved it, then I tried breakpoint and hated it, it all just feels so meh
Playing with the HUD completely off, immersive mode and changing the world parameters to have drones off and the resistance in the world makes it pretty decent, but these days I usually just play the PvP since it's unique in it's own right, too bad PvP requires gear score though, doesn't really seem to affect me much as I can kill someone at a much higher GS than me anyway.
this game is underrated af
no matter how much hate it gets
Ngl Wild lands is amazing wild great and breakpoint is good but not so great when you compare both games.
I think problem is that it forces so many damn gunfights and base alerts at the end of missions, making stealth pointless.
Auroa is bigger though
When will a new release be released
Honestly wildlands wasnt much for me either. Got them both on sale respectively, might have been more fun in co-op but I never had the chance
I remember being excited to play this but I gave up on it quick because I found the drones annoying and it wasn't very fun.
I'm replaying WL now for the 5th time over 3 years. BP I couldn't get through a 2nd play through its so bland.
Almost like another planet.
yes straight up same way with Farcry now aswell
Jon bernthal was underwhelming too you can kill him before the island is even secure
You should really try yakuza series
Bc you want to put them behind bars 😂
I love the open world tbh but yes it’s bland, they should have added more city’s different areas other than just forest and swap.
Don’t forget the Quartz.
I miss the terminators they do a better job of hunting you down😂 4:00
All I want to know is if this game is open world like wildlands because both the description of the game and the reviews don’t mention an open world
My main issue with Wildlands was the fucking loot crates and locking guns behind a pay wall, which Breakpoint kinda doesn't do unless you count stupid skins. Still bad but, less bad
I wish I could use my raid gear in immersive mode. Sadly I can not as it is disabled
But MasterAssasin! Who has the best robes in Assassins Creed? WE MUST KNOW.
Unity has PEAK fashion, followed by Ezio trilogy
Breakpoints map is not supposed to feel like wild lands it’s supposed to feel like your in the wild stranded and being hunted
A Game Full Of Mircotranstractions Comes To Mind
There’s a quite few issues, game was shit at launch. I’m hoping the next GR will be what BP should’ve been
My biggest disappointment with the game was it was marketed as "You are badass special forces guy, being hunted by other bad ass special forces guys" i mean the name is literally "breakpoint' Implying youd reaching your characters breaking point.. only to find out it refers to the players breaking point of boredom.
My big issue was more quality of life things like i wish the open world was more dense it just doesnt feel real enough with jus enemies everywhere
I actually didn't mind the loot , gave you rewards, and pushed you to use new weapons. I still played in ghost mode just kept the tiers it makes it easy to dismantle weapons and get A LOT of crafting materials.
Great game now, could have been epic.
Hope for 3rd
There's about 3 biomes that are actually different from eachother. There's also almost nothing going on apart from random small patrols.
@@stas7378eh, kinda? Auroa has a little more variety than that. The problem is that the map is just too damn big and you're forced to soak it all in.
90% of the time when I die it's by those little flying drones.
These issues are a issues that sucks
First of all, the way the story being chop into piece for DLC break the game. The antagonist and their cronies are forgettable
Second, the setting compare to Wildland like day and night. The street is dead, only Sentinel patrol running around.
Thirdly, to many places to explore but nothing there to explore. If you notice, there is a lot of environment story telling similar to Skyrim but if the environment itself is boring and empty, the story not going to be interesting.
Debelopers: fighting drones/ robots makes me want to go outside and play, or read a book. Stick to human enemies
Its not even funny anymore
ITs such a damn slopfest.
Its still quite buggy
Gunplay is also not great but not terrible.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint | What It Did WRONG *?*
Everything.
The biggest problem with breakpoint is the setting and plot being extremely weak, gameplay wise the immersive mode is great
Wildlands was massive and made with heart. Breakpoint was made quickly for purpose of greed and capitalising on IP
I bought it when it was on sale with like $20, played about 20 hours and i feel like i wasted my money and time.
・Characters are boring and generic and also cringy
・Microtransactions (as always Ubisoft)
・The world is bland and it just has tons of spots to clear & loot and that's about it
・Always on online but when i met a guy in game, tried to be friends with him, my game crashed, there's no system in game that can find players you played with, since then i never met the guy i actually felt like i can be friends with.
You can just tell Ubisoft games are not made with love and passion it's sad. It's really bad when you have to use MODs to make game enjoyable.
Yup I hate the drones too
Few things were to leave out of the game ; IF THE WHOLE TEAM OF DEVS HAD TIME TO FLESH OUT THE BEST OF IT !
hell yeah, ghost recon: popup warrior.
