    I ended up leaving the windshield wipers and trim on and it worked fine for the record, definitely not a huge difference in total time but it was worth it for me.

      I did the same thing, its not necessary to take it off but its definitely manageable either way.

    I did the same to my 2015, next you should consider the OEM Euro fiesta ST200 airbox from whoosh. It's a ford factory part that came on the st200 trim models.

      I have the Mountune air box, It’s got the cold air tube. Is it any different or better?

      @@NoahGaebel not sure about how it stacks up to other aftermarket ones, but it's certainly much better than the restrictive oem US version.

      @@NoahGaebel They're basically the same part. One is aluminum, the other plastic.

    Nice! I just installed the crossover pipe myself today too. I have the inlet elbow on deck, but didn't feel comfortable until I had a jack handy in case I needed to go in from the passenger wheel. Did it give you much trouble ?

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  Год назад +1

      The elbow really wasn’t bad, but I can be pretty nimble with my hands. The worst part was reinstalling the vacuum line. Best tip is to put the vacuum line on before you attach it. With a decent ratchet and stuff definitely not a hard job!

      Thanks, I still need to get around to it. Probably will when I do boost hoses/pipes and intercooler. What are your thoughts after a few weeks running it? I didn't do any vdyno before/after, but the turbo spool noise is so much clearer with the crossover- I love it.

    I ended up removing he whoosh elbow because i noticed the inner diameter of the mounting plate and the actual metal tube were not lined up, and offset, like they were not flush for smooth flow. Idk if they've gotten better over time or not.

      Seemed to line up good with me, a little unsure about no gasket but it’s been good for the last few months

    Did u hear more whistle after installing?

    • @NoahGaebel
      @NoahGaebel  Год назад

      Yes, quite a bit more turbo spool. Pairs well with my blow off valve!

    Are you still running the stock turbo? My bad if you said so in the video, I skipped around a bit because I came here for the elbow install so I could see where the vacuum line went. I have the elbow waiting to be put on but havent gotten to it yet so wanted to see where everything went before I got down there and started scratching my head lol. But now I see the stock elbow has a vacuum line too so I'm not too worried about it. I also went with the Airtec elbow because it has a gasket event though Im not sure if it makes a difference or not

      Yeah still stock turbo, no gasket is a little weird in my opinion but I haven’t had any issues. Make sure to connect the vacuum before you install the it unless you have small clamp pliers. I learned that the hard way, I just didn’t document it.
