The needle is ALWAYS better! the gun pushes parts of your skin into your ear and can create more bacteria where the needle actually takes out a chunk of ear to make space for earing and can promote a healthier healing environment. Though this may have changed since I used to pierce ears like a decade ago! :)

I have 6 piercings in each ear. The 3 lobe ones done with the gun while the 3 upper cartilage done with the needle. The lobe ones I can only wear 10k gold or higher. While the ones on the upper part I can wear anything. The needle heals much faster with less problems than the gun.

Love the piercings, I have two in my lower ear too and my upper ear has one and I love it. The needle honestly was so much easier than the piercing gun. Nothing helped my nose the needle went in and my eyes watered lol both times... learned to never let it close off.
I love how you girls went and did it together! My grandma wanted to get hers re-pierced because her lives had elongated over time so I had my cartilage pierced with her. Memories are the best especially since she is no longer with us. ❤

the top piercing (helix) may hurt for a few months if you crush a ib profeun or tyenol and put a drop of water then put it on the ear right near the earring the pain diminsihes almost within 20 mins i had to do this for night time but i love this piercing (helix)

I haven’t finished watching the whole video yet but the needle hurts less the then gun. The gun is just shoving the dull metal through your ear. While the needle actually pierces your ear.

I loved this video so much ! You all look great and were so brave! It brought back memories if my 2 best friends and I getting our ears pierced together when we were 13. One of my BFFs Dad owned and vet clinic. His Tech had done piercings before, so her Dad took us up to his clinic and we all got our ears pierced !! Lol ! We still giggle about being a "patient" at the Vet Clinic !! 🤣. That was back in the 70s. Now I'm old, but still have 3 in left ear and 2 in right and still love them. My Granddaughter says I am WAY COOL !! 😎 😀 😄

Love the piercings! Mine started out innocent like yours and now i have 2 piercings on 1 ear and the entire other ear has piercings going along the outter edge as well as a dainty daith inside. I dress on the classier side and the earrings def make people do a double take lol its unexpected. I love it bec im quite low maintenance and i dont have patience to put on jewelry every day so like this my ears are all decked out i never remove them and im good to go!

I got my ears pierced when I was little. It was with a needle and red thread. You had to leave the red thread in for 2 weeks before actually putting in an earring!
Yall are the greatest me and my oldest sister, my oldest daughter, and sister in law all went and got ours done in same spot like Lacey has the tragus ❤❤❤❤

I love earrings. I have five piercings in each ear. The four hole in my right ear I did myself with an earring. I just stuck it through. My fourth in my left and fifth holes, I froze my ears and stuck the needle through. My left ear is pierced in the cartilage. Thought I would share. Love your channels.

I laughed when i got my seconds done at 16, and then last year when I was 21 I had my top two cartridge ones on my right ear and it hurt, my cartridge took my mum and brother a month to notice

In the 1970s when I first got my ears pierced, I got them pierced with a needle in the doctors office. There were not stores that pierce your ears.
I have 6 piercings in each ear plus my tragus, daith, nose, tongue, & belly button lol I had my eyebrows done but took it out.

I had seven piercings in each side maybe it was five in each side, and then three on the top in the Cartlidge of one ear and most of the down low ones because I quit putting earrings and then have closed up and I keep trying to find somebody that will just go stick a needle through it and open them all back up. It’s a hard thing to find.

I have 6 piercings on both of my ears. I have both of my lobes pierced 3 times, both ears have conch piercings, on my left ear that I have 2 cartilage piercings, and on my right ear an industrial piercing. 7 of my piercings were done by a gun and 5 were done by a needle. If I get another piercing or 2 it will be done by a needle.

Any future piercings get Addison to opt for the needle! Personally think it hurts less and it pierces it better don’t let her be put off with it being a needle!
@@dearleah7299 what hahaha. Needle is the best way to have a piercing done. In the UK professional piercing shops don’t even offer the gun as an option only places like Claires do. Needles can be scary that’s why I’m saying don’t let it put her off future piercings by it being a needle.

I heard that the needle is safer and more sanitary than the gun even for first time piercing.
It's actually insane that the guns are even allowed anymore. They're terrible. The biggest issue is that it causes trauma to the body with almost blunt ends, where the needle just slides its way through (hollow needle...super important). I and many feel that guns should be banned. Nurses or not, they clearly haven't done proper research.

@@lisis1979 you are very right it's blunt force trama to the ear. The spring load action in the piercing g*n is traveling very rapidly along with the pounds of pressure added to make the earring pierce through the skin. The body goes through a lot let alone the healing process. Plus I don't want to think about veins being effected that's a whole other situation.
Plus with needles you get a straighter hole.
@@ItsAMbutyoutubechangedmyname actually yes because the needle removes a bit of the skin, in contrast the piercing g*n pushes it to the side causing more issues in the long run as a result.
Oh, all this for a simple 2nd hole in the lobe. I thought it was going to be an exciting piercing haha My daughter had her 2nds done at 8 (she didn't flinch and even watched in the mirror), followed by 3rds at 11, helix at 12, tragus at 13 and conch at 14. She is deciding between nose or lower helix (or even both) for when she turns 15. You should always get pierced with a needle though, even with lobe piercings - guns are not good as they force a blunt earring thru and cause trauma whereas a needle slices thru creating the hole.

I have 3 sets and a cartiledge done. Im allergic to all metal so i cant wear them without a lot of infection.

When I was 12 my Mum let me have my ears pierced, but only on condition that I held her hand while she had it done 😂 my sister who is ten years older was so angry because my Mum wouldn’t let her have hers done till she was 16. She still reminds me off this now and we are 68 and 58 😅 and my Mum is 90 😊
