Our Recipe! Mix everything together in the baby food processor!
- 1/2 Cup Shea
- 2 TBS - Almond Oil
- 5 Drops - Vitamin C
- 1 TSP - Arrowroot
- 40 drops of fragrance of your choice
- Essential Oils of your choice
- Cap full of Aloe Vera

@EverythingKylie. I want to offer a suggestion for being able to make a larger (and less messy) batch, then the baby food machine lol. Your mom said she used a hand mixer. Heck, that thing doesn’t do much more then cover everyone and everything around it with whatever’s in the bowl! Lol
I am a retired cottage baker (cottage meaning I worked out of my own kitchen, not a storefront). I can’t tell you how many times I got covered in powder sugar or flour!! At 30yrs, I looked (very!) premature gray/white headed… from flour and sugar! Ha! I then discovered pure JOY when I purchased a Kitchen Aide (KA) stand mixer. My mixer included a splash guard, with just a small 2”-ish square opening, to add things. I NEVER got covered from the powdered “stuff” ever again!!
I’m now almost 60, and admit retired from doing as much as I used to do. Having rheumatoid arthritis in my hands (and other joints) doesn’t help the situation. I will still do things for close friends and family members. My youngest grand(daughter), will be 3 in December. I’ve made all of her cakes (and cupcakes). I hope to be able to keep doing that until she at least hits teen years!😂

Jojoba oil is the closest to our own skin oils. You are not greasy at all…it absorbs into your skin. It’s the best!!
Get you some coffee beans in a small mason jar to sniff in between your fragrance it does help i used to make candles and soap

Get stainless steel measuring spoons and cups the measurement should be imbedded in the handle so it wouldn’t wash off and it’s easy to clean

Here's a hack for your measuring spoons, so the print doesn't come off...when you get them, put some clear nail polish over the measurements and for the ones that already wore off, write them on with a marker, let it dry and put the nail polish over top.
I have so many sets of spoons with missing numbers. I finally bought some with the measurements stamped in metal ones, lol
I have a anxious dog also. We need to medicate her to take her to the vet. Glad Truffle did so well.
Our sister inlaw has someone hold a container with peanut butter smeared in it so when she is clipping their nails they are concentrated on the peanut butter and trying to eat it, as a helper holds the container with the peanut butter smeared all around in it for each of their dogs they do this and it works very well. Equal parts of shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax makes a great lotion bar. I made these for the guys in my life and they loved them.

I have been making my own lotion for 9 years now. I mainly use it for my face and feet. My base is coconut oil. I also use Neem oil with it. For every one tablespoon of base oil, I use 3/5 drops of each essential oil that I put in my lotion

No need to buy more measuring spoons/cups. Just write the measurements on the handles with a sharpie marker.
You need measuring scoops that have the measurements indented in them. I once found a set like that at the dollar tree.

My favourite fragrances for lotion/oil are: rose(hip), ylang-ylang, patchouli and bergamote.

What was that u made on the stove. U 2 can be so hilarious. The tiny spatulas look like baby spoons. The baby food blender is perfect for the lotions. That look at each other also had me cracking up.
Some scents are stronger than others, so balancing will be different for each.
Do a bergamot and sandlewood scent combo

It's really easy . Just make sure you used coffee ground on each side of the table to balance it out . The ingredients it's only salt oil and essential oil please be careful when mixing it there might be one that gives you a headache or something not right. Just a suggestion. There different recipes online but those are the three main ingredients. Any oil you choose.

My Labrador, Larry, has such anxiety that he physically leans against my leg on walks. It's very difficult to walk while an 80 lb dog is leaning against you, especially when his big brother, Bob, is pulling on the leash.
Our 4 year old lab is the same way! Can’t calm her down. She spooks herself!
