So is kraftmaid low quality or just not as good as the other brands?
Why were 75% of my cabinets delivered with defects? Dents, scuffs, holes and junk stuck in the finish? I spent 22k.
I'm having the same problem. I just received my fifth shipment of cabinet doors because they came in with a bad finish. The first one I opened today was cracked and had a bad finish. Something is wrong with the finishing process. I'm so tired of this company.

That two layer topcoat doesn’t hold up as long as you’d think
I only wish I could download the photographs of these defective cabinets, spent over $14 thousands for wicker… quarter oak cabinets arrived with 2 different interior woods, shattered side construction, non matching grain, wrong sizes, top crown mounding extra large instead of approximately 3” height, one front door with a dark horizontal scratch… my kitchen is small 10x10 … they have absolutely NO QUALITY CONTROL! They will replace 5 cabinets, top moulding, and 1 front door … it will take 7 weeks for this! By that time my contractor has other jobs … he could not put my tile on… new appliances in ….without these cabinets so here I wait … my appliance will sit in my garage while I have my interior wall painted and floor refinished in my new home … with lowe’s , and kraftmaid not giving a damn as to my dilemma! 😭
Every cabinet we opened is damaged. We stopped opening them. We are customers, not KraftMaid quality control. Shame on them, this order should have never been shipped like this. We spent a lot of time designing our kitchen, what a complete disappointment.
Utter BS. After 2 1/2 years of reordering defective cabinets and an unfinished kitchen, I'm throwing in the towel. It's not shipping damage, it's utter incompetence at KraftMaid.
Not what they used to be.
We just got some second hand cabinets from this manufacturer. As a cabinet maker. I thought these were the cheapest crappiest Chinese junk. We paid 40 for 2 base and 2 wall that were apparently unused. We got ripped off. Don't buy from this company. Their craftsmanship is horrendous. No matter what you pay ... You will be ripped off
