- In today's video, we have a fun decluttering challenge that will help you with 26 (or more) decluttering ideas! Decluttering challenges can help us see our items in a different light and force us to think more creatively when going through them. With that in mind, I will explain this challenge and how you can participate, and share the 26 items I am decluttering, in hopes that it inspires you to do the same!

This challenge intrigued me! It's taken me almost 3 weeks, but here goes: A - Aprons, B - Bunch of brads, C - Cardboard/catalog, D - Dog tags, E - Emergency kit, F - Flashlight, G - Garden Gate, H - Handle bags, I - Immunization Record, J - Jigsaw puzzle, K - Key Rings, L - Library summer reading puzzles, M - "Mystery Child" (a book), N - Novel, O - Old bug spray, P - Pencils/Pens, Q - Quintessential magazines :), R - Ribbon, S - Shoe bag, T - Thumbtacks, U - Upholstery protectors, V - Vise, W - Wysocki houses, X - Xtra stuff that my son took home with him, Y - Yellow T-shirt, Z - (my wild card) Lighthouse statues

@@AbundantlyMinimal To clarify, my total declutter pile so far this month is a bit over 120! The challenge got me out of my routine for sure.
This is a nifty little method, thanks for sharing it. I've been a minimalist for a good while and so don't declutter all that much now, but this actually made me look at my possessions from a different angle so to speak and I have already identified a few things that I can let go of.

Thank you for making me aware of a potentially fun way to declutter. If it's more like a game I'm going to be more likely to make that move and eliminate unnecessary things or things that I don't want around but just pile.

My first thought was that this was too complicated, but actually I see the value in it and it’s a really good idea.
I love this. 😊 I would fudge X with "extra", and Z is definitely for some old Ziploc bags that have outlived their usefulness (leaky, smelly, holes). Y is maybe something that needs a "yearly refresh", but I haven't started my A-Z declutter just yet.

Enjoyed this video, a novel idea to make decluttering fun. You made me conscious of the fact that items we don't trust to work are useless and must be got rid of. I found quite a few of them to declutter

A fun way to declutter!
Indeed it is!
Just wanted to add this idea: recycling plastic bags at the supermarket is a great idea, but another one to consider is donating to schools, especially where younger children are. We were always short of plastic bags for wet clothes to send home in case of an 'accident', so it might be worth asking your child's teacher if they need any.

For a robot cleaner, you can just think that it was your dog, where it need to be cleaned every once in a while, but you don't have to take it to a walk every day ;))

'Zee' or 'Zed'? lol. I use the few plastic bags that do come my way to carry the decluttered stuff in when I go to a charity shop. Then I just hand over the donations, rather than getting everything out of my bag.

I just found that exact collapsible cup at the thrift store! It was 3.99, and I plan to keep it in the van for emergency water consumption! So funny! Mine is green.
