L.l. bean is a brand started in 1919 I believe. Make amazing great work wear and hunting / outdoors stuff. I recently had 2 earlier canvas like duffle bags by bean and they sold as soon as I said they were bean. There is a lot of variety now in the more modern offerings however plenty of decades of quality this and that!
I found a reversible wool skirt. Brand In'n Outer by Sportrite Junior from the 50s or 60s maybe. I haven't been able to find information on it yet. I'm not sure how much to relist it for or to keep it😅. It's 65 years(?) old and looks amazing. They don't make clothing like this anymore. If anyone has information on this skirt I would greatly appreciate it😊❤
I would like to know why you dont sell on etsy, maybe its a long or complicated answer? I am wondering because that is the only platform I am testing at the moment.
Found a vintage coach medium tote for $1 the other day at the thrift store because I don’t think they realized it was a Coach. Now I’m wondering what to listed it for on Poshmark.
How do you authenticate or even price vintage clothes that you can't find a similar to? I found these Dior drawstring shorts and I cannot find anything like them. They look vintage. The tag just says Dior and on the Right side of the shorts there is Dior monogram with the i inside the D the o on the bottom and the r outside. I've been googling, picture searching, everything.
This is something that you will be able to do more naturally as you deal in selling clothing . I'd also add it is typically a product of the mode of sale .. like local people or in a site like eBay /mercari . If you sell online you have fees. So you will tend to be looking for the extra exceptional stuff so you don't sorce 10 dollar items and get 7 as opposed to $ 50 + stuff and after fees earning 40 or so. You start to with what you know or like or can effectively source or have access to. But you will probably do shows at some point. I just recommend you learn more than ONLY clothing but you do you boo

Yes, love those canvas bags!
Found some Khaite jeans for $7 & sold for $120! They retail for about $400
So exciting! Congrats!

That’s a great find. I would try to find a similar era item to get comps from.
Do you wash or dryclean the items first or just tell the customer it is pre-owned and leave it to them?
Depends on the item and if it needs it/if it’s worth it $ wise.

How’s it going for you there? The reason is, I don’t have to to make sales. Also, the listing fees…every other platform is free to list.

That’s great! Some are definitely harder to spot.

I usually price high and hope for the best. As far as authenticating, it depends on the value of the item if you need to authenticate.

Any experience with Christmas, Valentine or Halloween sweaters?
Yes, with Christmas as well as Valentines. Haven’t seen Halloween before, but I’m sure they would do equally as well!
Be on the lookout for Halloween sweaters or sweaters with themes on them, cats, dogs, etc Good Luck!
Do you sell vintage clothing show me please so where can I buy?❤
I buy them at thrift stores and garage sales.
Pendleton is an old brand isn’t it
Yes, but still going strong!
Great! Never find clothes at yard sales here
I have found soooo many Pendleton wools that had holes in them. I avoid Pendletons. And also, when I consign them, they have a low resell value.
