The most underrated, underappreciated band in all of extreme music right now. The combination of hardcore, thrash, and death, the lyrics which rage against injustice...this is everything i love about the crossover of so many genres being filtered through hardcore right now.
This is early Christmas. 200SW yesterday and Judiciary today. I was at this tour and at the time I didn't really appreciate Judiciary but have recently been digging Surface Noise so much. Sick that I get to rewatch it.
I caught them on that same tour in Vegas they were killer, I saw them again with Kublai Khan in Anaheim late March and got my nose busted in the pit during their set it was awesome lol
Judiciary might be the second-greatest band that Lubbock's ever produced---a tip of the hat to Buddy Holly and the Crickets, without whom music might not have evolved to include such a thing as Judiciary or so many other great rock bands in the first place. The similarities are worth noting here. Buddy Holly wrote prodigiously and didn't compromise transposing his imagination into stage and studio reality, much as Judiciary has accomplished. Buddy and his band were renegades, under-appreciated and even scorned by the Lubbock establishment and had to bail town to make it. I'd have to surmise that even though Judiciary does enjoy solid support in their hometown, that they too are not the darlings of the Lubbock media outlets who present insipid, heavily-caucasian cowboy hat-wearing fellas or scruffy college boys writing pretty decent original music, but playing clean-channel Stratocasters (or Teles) or, better yet, inaudible, token-acoustic guitars strumming out a hackneyed and derivative variety of what they attempt to pass off as contemporary Lubbock music scene music. Judiciary plays to a fairly specific genre, one that does tend to narrow their scope and potential audience, but listen to their music, or better yet, avail yourself to RUclips videos such as this one and their gift for writing heavy, energetic, riff-laden and interesting music is readily apparent. Judiciary is heavy as hell, but don't let that obfuscate the truth: that they're already a truly great band, a hard-working band with an awesome discography and is worthy of Lubbock's pride.

Flesh and Blood is a severely underrated candidate for album of the year. Love this band
With the amount of times I listened to the album this year I was kinda shocked to see it off everyone's radar.
