In the middle, a rendition of the reverse of the original Indian Peace Medal, designed by Jefferson and used by Lewis and Clark during their expedition, represents, Underneath a Tomahawk and a calumet, two clasped hands: on the left a US soldier's one and on the right the one of a native American wearing a silver band adorned with an American eagle. Over this is written the date of the expedition "1803", and underneath that the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM". All is surrounded with the legend "LOUISIANA PURCHASE", the facial value and the lettering "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"

I have the 2004 p peace medal nickel that has never been circulated and has been kept in a case and is in perfect condition. It hasn’t been graded. How can I sell it for the best price?
As for grading, I found that if you have a mint error coin and you don’t make the submission form correctly and you want it graded for $25 dollars, it will not be graded as a mint error. If you have a mint error coin...you must mark the correct box on the form....that would cost an error grade of $65...not $25!

I have one of these that is doubled dyed on the reverse all over. Is going to anacs in a week. pretty excited as you can almost see it without a 10x. But it's in such good shape, yea, pretty cool find.

Where do take your coins to be graded in person in front of you . If you mail in coin. How do you know the coin you sent in same one as the one that was sent you.
Would you suggest breaking up the 2004 P proof sets for this year, then have them graded?
2004 P is not proof. P means minted in Philadelphia. D means minted in Denver. S means minted in San Fransisco and is a proof coin. All proof sets are minted in San Francisco and have the S mint mark. D..enver and P..hiladelphia minted coins are regular business strike coins, meant for circulation. That's why the MS 68 nickel he's talking about sold for so much.
That's an unreal, top, top grade. Proof coins already have this top grade and higher, obviously and they come in sets. But it's the regular business strike P-mint and D-mint coins that finding a coin in this high of a condition.. MS68 is nearly impossible.
What does it mean for the coin if it's uncirculated...

You can find a lot of these coin roll hunting. Thats how I picked up most of them.

while looking through my nickels i came across a few things i wanted to ask about . I found a 2007 that has no mint mark. Is this normal? I also noticed while looking at my 2013 D's that even though printed at the same place there is a slightly different look to some in the eye's and mouth features. Is this normal? I Choose if you flip it horizontally and it is not upside down, you could be sitting on thousands because of a misprint
Pro_Killer 2184 thank you for your reply. So are you telling me when I flip the coin, the date supposed to be horizontal to Jefferson’s head? When I flip side to side( horizontal) date is upside down on the other side where his shoulders are. I have only seen this particular coin when both sides are right side up unlike mine. I think I will send it off and then report my findings on here. Thanks again.

+Lady there is not a one of these unusual coins because I have about 35 rolls of this Jefferson Nickle and 102 rolls of the others plus I am linked with 11,000 on line collectors 24X7 and none of em have but one or two collectors call what they say are coins of interest meaning there is an actual defect which would 1 in five hundred million and chances are 100 to 1 someone Shifty made em the reasons they can't sell their coins legally... The more I hear and watch this shit the more I think these folks are just trying to draw collectors to their old wares so folks buy em... I have 2 dresser drawers of Quarters and one full of dimes here and nothing unusual has shown up. We were wrapping the shit up in tubes all the past few holiday days... Nothing unusual whatsoever showed up, PS the Nickles were all in a huge cookie can tin with a slotted lid dated 1999. Now picture ONE dresser size drawer which ours are about 40" across and 19" deep by about 10" tall or height. We only finished one of the drawers today started on it after we gave on hunting season 2 weeks ago. The reason I am posting anything on these Bullshit artists is one dresser drawer held nearly $1,200.00 in quarters, my grand daughter says it is $1,500 is her totals. None of us not even I had no idea what a dresser bureau drawer can hold in quarters the bottoms of the drawers are bowed out and shot we even have problems getting the drawers opened... I've Been dumping change em in there since I got home from Iraq in 2010 and since then I just recently couldn't get the drawers open the reasons we are even wrapping it.... Believe it or not the drawer full of dimes is way heavier than the one with the Quarters for some reasons the bottom fell out of that drawer. We are making fake wagers on what the dresser filled with dimes actually holds... My business partner tells me since Dimes are smaller it should hold about $2,000 bucks.. And no I am not making that up.... We did not get to em yet... But the Nickles we did get to view em and the sadly out of about how many 1,000 nickles not a one of em showed any sign of being unique. Now imagine the time we put into this just to prove these liars are liars.. Most of the coins are being made in a modern stamp forge not a total die machine they state is how they are cost in DIE's.... The coins to date are being made in a precision press not some sloppy old machine... These boobs cited quite a few anomalies in Quarters Nickles and dimes. You figure with literally 1,000's of coins here we would have found something unusual... I say they are full of shit the reasons they have none of the ah odd ball coins to show ya.... If they do someone was guaranteed to have altered those coins...
