    i am visiting from Denmark, I find such a thrill to look over your videos. it helps me to see women overcome massive work. as i myself of the age of 61 has a huge garden and my husband over the past few years is handicapped., you give me joy and the will to continue according with a weigtloss plan

      ☺️ thank you ❤ your comment helps me continue with the dream of turning this property into a garden. Comments like yours help me when I start to get discouraged. This property isn't easy to deal with considering the fact that someone once used it as a dumping ground... not sure if you saw the video where I removed an old rusted out truck bed, I still have a pile of about 30 tires to remove as well😔 not to mention all the invasive plants on the property... but seeing this comment makes me happy and I will continue with the dream❤💕❤💕

    I can't believe you're out there with no gloves on 😮 you are braver than me! Love your videos and seeing the progress. It must be a dream having a whole acre to do with whatever you like 😂 im living vicariously thru you. Thank you for sharing 😊

      @@leanderlawrence8312 I usually start off with gloves then end up with them off LOL but I mostly just try to use gloves when I'm pulling weeds with all the poison ivy in Virginia creeper out there. Probably should use them more often with all the glass out there in the ground that I come across. Having this acre to do whatever I please is a dream. Plus hubby doesn't stop me from doing what I want either. Thanks for watching! 💕

      Wow, such a great spot!
      How about putting wire across the T-poles and planting a vine or clematis as a wishing well roof?
      You works so hard and get beautiful results.

    • @creatingyourgarden
      @creatingyourgarden  Месяц назад +1

      Now that's an idea! 🤔 I had a thought to use some chicken wire to create the structure of the roof. Still working out the Kinks not sure yet what I will be doing.

    Keep us posted! I hope you can keep weeds out. I used cardboard to kill a garden 30' x6', over winter. In spring i used a sharp pick and potatoe fork by hand. i had great Gourdseed Corn that year, but lost control of the weeds the second year. It does better with clover around the corn, than just weeding.

    • @creatingyourgarden
      @creatingyourgarden  Месяц назад

      I try to keep up on the weeds, the cardboard does help tremendously. The weeds that seed above the cardboard are easy to pull I just have to get out there and do it LOL

    I wonder if you’ve heard of Chip Drop? 15-20 yds of chips - Free! I’m waiting on my delivery now.

    • @creatingyourgarden
      @creatingyourgarden  Месяц назад

      Yes, i have heard of chip drop! The problem with that would be the lot we live on. The house is pretty much on a hill with a small driveway...wooded on three sides and no where to drop a load like that. More than likely it would block entry into the driveway.

  • @TeamEMPYT
    @TeamEMPYT Месяц назад

    First videos of yours that I've watched, you are a work horse! Those vines/roots would have had me done for. I'm new to outdoor gardening and am just starting on a cardboard/mulch area. Is there a reason why you don't put cardboard down in the areas that you also plant, to suppress the weeds?

    • @creatingyourgarden
      @creatingyourgarden  Месяц назад +2

      I usually plant an area first then apply the cardboard around the plants, unless I dont have all the plants for that area, then I'll apply the cardboard over the whole flower bed. With the wet mulch being on top it softens the cardboard and it's easy to cut away the cardboard for later planting. Thank you for watching😊

  • @cheflorenzo4491
    @cheflorenzo4491 Месяц назад

    Instead of wasting your viewers time figuring out your cardboard layout, plan ahead of time. Use old garden hoses and/or landscape paint. When you've achieved what appeals to you, start filming.

    • @creatingyourgarden
      @creatingyourgarden  Месяц назад +4

      @@cheflorenzo4491 if me filming a few minutes of how I lay out a path is wasting your time then maybe you should watch a channel where they hire landscapers to do it for them 🤷🏾‍♀️. This is about showing the process from start to finish of how I create a garden. From the very start of the path I said I wanted it in a curve which is how I laid it... old garden hose or landscape paint ( which I have used before) may have or may not have made the process faster. Could have just shown the pathway complete but people would have questions of the process.
