@lowko thank you master for teaching me. I learned a lot from your casts. Today I won my first game in unranked 1v1. A Protoss canon rushed me (with 8 canons) and I remembered all the lessons. 1. Put a siege tank on high ground. 2. Scan the enemy bases and see if they have any defenses. 3. Load a bunch of marine and marauders in drop ships. 4. Go destroy their base.
I remember when I did the mission “Legacy of the Xel’naga”. I pretty much ended up making an impassable blockade of Photon cannons and Pylons that surrounded the island, preventing any aerial Zerg from escaping. Alas it failed because I ended up not having any actual ground forces to attack.

What if they crossed and then the explosives didn't work? It was the only way to be 100% sure. And basically, it's a game and not everything has to be logic or make sense, it makes the story more interesting and adds to the recklessness/badassery character arc of Jim Raynor and Fenix.

Corsairs do AOE damage and with about 6 or above they can one shot clods of Scourge, plus being overlord hunters and the hole disabling static defense. Then they're more cost efficient than scouts and are arguably better against air units especially/primarily PvZ with muta clumps and said Scourge. In PvP they're better of against Carriers strangely enough with the hole AoE on things and with PvT disabling web is they're primary if not only use. Scouts have been seeing a somewhat recent surge again as they're decent against air and fairly bulky.
i think they should've enhanced the overlord if they wanted to take its detector ability, maybe, make them add more supply, like 10 instead of 8, which would be a good balance, since zergs are meant to be the most populous of the 3 races, it would also be self balancing, as losing one would meant losing more supply as well, so an early loss of an overlord feel more costly as well.
