I've been a single note instrumentalist for decades, but picking up piano with leads last year has just exploded my keyboard knowledge and skills. And you're so right, it is so much more fun than grunting out exactly what's on the page. That's what piano rolls are for.
I've never seen that on a lead sheet - I'd sooner expect it on something like a figured bass. I believe it signifies a suspension-resolution. on that G9sus you hold the C and then resolve it to a B. C is the 4th and B is the 3rd

I really enjoy this type of video. Keep them coming please!
Would love to watch a video of you picking up a Lead Sheet and learning the song and seeing how you create the rhythm for the chords.
Great info! I’m an amateur accordionist and would love to see how you translate some of the more complicated chords to the accordion. Cheers.
I love lead sheets because they're really readily available and work perfectly for accordion!
I play guitar and still found this informative. Thanks.
This video was extremely helpful! Thank you so much
Cute story with cartoons! Smart way to teach with arrows, etc
How would you play the chords, say F6 and Fm6, on the accordions bass side?
Thanks very useful.😃
Very informative.
Thanks for the video
I can't fucking believe that I never realized m7(b5) was just a way of saying half diminished. Eating my shorts
What is the main difference between a lead sheet and a music sheet ?
how do u play these notes for lead guitar?? or it just a chords?
Does this work for gospel hymn music into lead sheet

Tf was the burp at 0:38?! 🤢 Really could've left that out, didn't realise I'd have to be on guard in a video like this.
Lolz I’m the other way around. I can’t read anything on the staff but give me the chords and you got a decent sounding tune
whats up with the Burb!!
Well done. Thanks. What does it mean when you see this notation? Dm7 / G9sus 4-3? Can't find an answer anywhere.
