Does anyone else have the issue of when you put gel on your edges and a few secs later, they poof up? And after tying down your hair when ur taking it off, your hair looks dry? If anyone could help me with this problem, it would great!
Hillary I've used Gorilla Snot and Murrays (for edges) but I've figured out the frizzy edge control problem (wasn't putting enough) BUT my hair still looks dry afterwards
Man, I type envy you right now, lol. My hair is very, and I mean very thick and getting much longer. (1 year and eight months post big chop, hair is now sitting on my shoulder in its curly state) Type 3a,3b,3c, and it's a struggle beyond anything to get it up into a sleek ponytail. Don't get me wrong, my hair will lay down, its just gathering it all with small ass hands. I tried the whole, grab sections and guide up thing, but by the time I force it all in my hand, some of it is already spilling back out. The only time I can gather my hair without problems is once its straightened. I have no problem there. So now I figured out what works for me, and that is forming it like I'm going to do a pineapple-buff like thing. Using my Snappee-band and pull the back up. Just keep pulling until the ponytail reaches where I want it, and snap everything into place.
Hey, Carmento! I use to have that problem too! Sometimes I'll literally stand up and bend over with my head upside down so that all of my hair keeps going in the right direction lol & I'm glad you found what works for you! Thanks for your comment!
caa-uute!! I always wear puffs but I've never tried slicking my edges down with water & that argan oil gel. I'll have to try that because it came out good when you did it.

Water and oil in a spray bottle and a good gel. Tie a silly scarf around your head for about 20mins before leaving the house. I have the same issue with my daughter's hair and this is what usually works
It’s literally a struggle to put all my hair in a ponytail because it so thick and when I do do it it don’t even look right 🙄that’s why I just put weave in my hair a lot🥱
Along the way, I realized that the reason I wasn't getting the perfect high puff I wanted was because I wasn't using the right product for my type of hair, which was Softee Clear Extreme Strength Gel. The Argan oil Eco Styler Gel does miracles!!!

JenLovesBeautyy try edge control and make sure you brush it in and wrap it down for about 5 minutes .. it should lay

I would use a leave in conditioner rather than water. Using water alone would dry my hair up
