The psycommu system used by Nu Gundam is leaked by Anaheim Electronics facility in Granada on the Far Side of Luna (where Sazabi was built and was formerly Zeonic Mobile Suit maker). Char wanted to have a fair fight against his old enemy.
There's just some so special when looking at the Nu Gundam. Aside from the fact that its only pilot was Amuro, but the design and characteristics it has are just so unique that it pays homage to the RX-78-2, while revolutionizing into the future. Even though its armaments are very powerful and deadly, yet not flashy enough like the Unicorn's beam magnum, and that to me gives it a classic timeless vibe. Maybe I just found the correct term for it, this Gundam is timeless. Or maybe I was just looking for a Gundam unit that more or less closely resembles a regular federation unit (close) that packs the punch of a whole mobile suit platoon
@@Astronopolis No... Okay, that's a rather complicated answer to a very simple question... Basically, the cliff notes version... jus look at what happened to Banagher and Full Frontal, it's something like that and their consciences are still floating around! There's a lot to it...

Aside from losing it's fin funnels and a damage in the skirt armor, it went almost untouchable in the second neo zeon war. A testament more to Amuro's skill. Since the Nu gundam is an unfinished gundam. It didn't even got to equip it's supposed HWS pack.
The Nu Gundam did show up in unicorn twice both during flashbacks, the first time is when Banagher and Full Frontal are talking about the light the unicorn made at the end of episode five and again when Full Frontal uses the Neo Zeong to show Banagher the major events of the Universal Century
It's funny that when I saw Char's Counter Attack and when I saw this new Gundam fire it's C.I.W.S. you can actually see the spent shells fall out of the head when fired.
You're wrong about the Nu not appearing it did in the moment where Full Frontal and Banagher traveled through time showing the events of the UC time line, where it was seen very briefly pushing Axis and activating the Psycho field for the first time
If I recall (I could be wrong), Amuro's designation during the events of the First Neo Zeon War in MSG Evolve was "White Unicorn." This is where he pilots a custom gray/white/pink Zeta Gundam, but other than that note I don't recall anywhere else it was mentioned... gundam.fandom.com/wiki/MSZ-006-3A_Zeta_Gundam_3A_Type
"White Unicorn" became AMURO's code name during the neo zeon war, as they were trying to hide his identity. His name was already "White Devil" to the enemy during the one year war. Unicorn was probably named after him as the psycho-frame from his Nu Gundam was developed into it.
Amuro and Char aren't MIA. They just exist in different universes and times. That is why there is always a blonde masked guy piloting a red/grey mobile suit and a brown haired naive guy piloting a white and blue gundam

Very nice vid! - You forgot a special shoutout to the Kaitai Shouki Metal Structure NU Gundam - it is a beast on its own :D Got one w/ Funnels but caused I'm arm and a leg.
One thing to keep in mind is that there's a scene in Unicorn where Noah talks as if he's responding to Amuro. Remember the Federation would have most likely put him back on house arrest which would be a good reason to not go back.
According to the HLMS video for the Nu Gundam, there was a second Nu Gundam built and piloted by another pilot. Which is something I also learned recently.
In Dynasty Warriors Gundam that thing is an utter beast, sold to me as "a Mk. II with funnels"! On 2, I currently have it set up for the last combo that throws down the shield and damages foes! It does so much damage to Aces, it actually bugs out their Health Bar, it's insane! Try it out for yourself! Of course, the EMMF-001 Commando Gundam from my novel is heavily influenced by the Nu! It carries a wide, long heavy shield, simliar in appearence and its long rifle has three firing options (inspired mostly by Metal Gear Solid 3's XM16E1) of Single for sniping, Bust for quick firing and Full Auto for crowd control! Aesphetically, it also draws on the Mk. II, though, that's mainly as I was staring at my RG TITANS Colours Mk. II when it came to its description (it was close to hand!)!
2:06. Unless I’m missing something, I think either the Head Height or Overall Height is off (possibly both?). Head Height I’m assuming is from ground to the top of the head, whilst Overall Height is from the ground to the tallest point of the mech. So, there’s only a 1 meter difference between the two stated heights, but the top of the Funnels looks a lot more than a meter higher than the head. Hell, the Funnels look like they add around an extra 50% to the overall height. Am I the only one who’s confused?
I wonder how well it would've faced off against the Wing Zero. The newtype designed gundam versus the one with the computer that runs countless predictions to determine the best route to victory. In terms of versatility the Nu Gundam easily has the advantages with its fin tunnels and its reaction speed, but I doubt even it would survive a shot from the double buster rifle
the fin funnels would shred it once it starts charging the twin buster rifle can't really put them against eachother honestly, they have a completely different purpose
The novel versions of the design is completely different of the MS. It is called Hi Nu gundam. Not mention there is several different design versions of it that Bandai offical released a color swap version which was the actual trailer one. And a very different one that was more akin to Gaia
I'm well aware there are many design variations for the v Gundam, such as the Hi-v and Double Fin Funnel, along with the color variations of Bandai kits like the 7-11 exclusives. Some of this info or footage wasn't in the final cut because I felt either the information could be combined together in a broad sense and/or not-great footage.

Yeah.. he just didn't watch closely..
My theory states that that actually explains what exactly became of Char and Amuro! It makes perfect sense!

Yep
The Nu was animated 100% in the Unicorn series in the part where Full Frontal takes that trip back into time in the Neo Zeong.
Oh really? That sequence went by so fast, I thought the shot was pulled straight from the movie instead of a re-animation.
to me it's the most iconic Gundam in the franchise.
It's funny that when I saw Char's Counter Attack and when I saw this new Gundam fire it's C.I.W.S. you can actually see the spent shells fall out of the head when fired.
It's those small details that make a person happy.
Pretty good video man. Keep up the good work
8:00 Some sources say that the Gundam F91 had a Psycho Frame temporarily in place of the bio computer until it was finished.
Great video. I just bought the RX-93 V RG model today, and that bit of knowledge helped.
this is my favorite of all time. I watched the full movie many years after seeing the rx93 on a poster somewhere. what an epic battle this was.

Is there any lore reason for why Amaru's emblem is a unicorn? The A is obvious enough but I dont remember him being into unicorns...

I always think of it as a connection to white base's "trojan horse" nickname

The Nu Gundam and Ground Gundam are my all time favorite MS.
Great taste.
A few mistakes I caught were that the Nu appeared in the time travel scene in Unicorn and the RG is 1/144 scale, not 1/100. Still a cool video!
Amuro and Char aren't MIA. They just exist in different universes and times.

The Nu Gundam appears in Gundam Unicorn RE0096 if I'm not mistaken, episode 0.

It’s in the time travel scene
Baddest badass of them all. Too bad there is no PG gunpla for the MS. 😢😢😢
