- Recorded live at the Uptown Theater in Chicago, Illinois on October 28,1980. This song appears on the AUDIO-VISIONS album and this performance is on the tour for that album. The song is written by Kerry Livgren and is one of my favorite Kansas tunes.
Steve Walsh - Vocals, Keyboards
Kerry Livgren - Guitars, Keyboards
Robby Steinhardt - Violin, Vocals
Rich Williams - Guitars
Dave Hope - Bass
Phil Ehart - Drums - Видеоклипы
A faceless band commercially, but one that blew so many known acts off the stage when they were coming up. In 1975, you prayed that Kansas didn't open for you.
This live version gives me instant happiness, doesnt matter what crappy mood i'm in, this makes me want to jump around and dance. steves voice is amazing here too!
I was there! One of the best concerts I have ever seen! Thanks! I remeber they played the Uptown to make a recording for a radio broadcast and we were lucky enough tto catch them in a smaller venue. Awesome night!
11 years later And I still feel the same way…
Fantastic. Do you need to say anything else? This Kansas at their best. Sublime, just sublime.
They should b in the music hall of fame ❤raw talent ❤
Never fear.. Madonna and Janet Jackson are inductees. R&R HOF is a political joke.
The truth that lies before us is plain for all to see!
the truth that lies before you is "a plane" for all to see. Erthe is a plane, not a globe. Tesla said so ! And Kerry dont lie
Does anyone remember Steve Walsh doing mule kicks off the keyboards while he played and sang? No other band came close to their live performances.
I have both video and pics of him doing that. I also have both video and pics of him doing headstands on his keys.
ALL THAT WAS LOST IS FOUND!
Great sound quality ~!
I love the clarity and also how tight these guys were back during this time ..
When Kerry had his hand on things they were much tighter.
This is the best one you have on here Rick.
Dave.
Uptown Theater! I was at this show! John Cougar Opening act! they also played songs from Kerry's and Steve's solo albums that night!
Kerry's solo album Mask of the Great Deceiver is a masterpiece. The best song on it is the only one Steve sang on ironically.

Great version, Walsh's vocals, Steinhardt's violin jumps out at you. Of course, it is Kansas live, it will be superb.
Really like this song live!
This is right from the board. This is my all time favorite Kansas recording. Great sound man.
Love this, Rick! Rarely had a band used the Violin like Kansas! And did they use it well!
Great cover! Thank you Rick!
My man, this quality is nuts.
The band briefly toyed with the idea of remastering this recording and releasing it! They then changed their minds to do a book. Then reality got in the way and they made the Documentary instead!
Awesome video, Rick! The songs from Audio-Visions are great to perform live :-)
Michael.
I have the radio show LPS for this THE NBC SOURCE killer
Subscribed! Got to Rock On!

One of their most difficult and complex pieces worthy of a nod from Mozart.
