F**k… i appreciate this podcast. Truly an exasperated statement. This has been such a confusing time as a Chelsea fan, and I can read all there is about Maresca or the Chelsea board, but it’s so nice to hear things asked and answered from the blatant, obvious, fan perspective. Very grateful for the niche this podcast habitats.

Possession based football is great to watch but only if we can break teams down and score goals, Sarri ball was possession based but painful to watch because we just didn’t score enough goals

Love the pod guys but Ben’s Clearlake talking points are insulting to anyone with eyes and ears. “Don’t judge them until window four” when they’ve botched literally every single thing along the way just reeks of access for good favor.
I don’t know if Enzo2 will be a good manager. Saying that he’s the result of a coherent, long-term plan is legitimately insulting to the viewer.
Don’t need to hear from Ben for a while and would trust you not to bring him back anytime soon.

Chelsea let go of Frank Lampard, in his own words “they fired me although I wanted to stay” after all he did for the club, apparently he played even during the time of his mom passes(don’t quote me on this)… he’s a legend so in that comparison what’s Gallagher? there is a long list including Ronaldo, David Beckham etc. No employer has the best interest for their employees, their best interest lies for their company/club. A lesson for all. Do your job well don’t get emotional attached. It’s like a relationship why stay if either party are not on the same page or see no future, just because they invested there time?! Move on if they don’t fit the clubs vision, nothing wrong happens all the time, having said that players should also do the same , it’s a job play well while employed if it does not work, there are other clubs that will fit their style.

This Squad is made for a back 3 and not a 433 !!
Nkunku and Palmer are our best player's by miles and they not wingers so where do you play them !!
    Here's the best lineup
    Jackson
    Nkunku Palmer
    Ben caicedo Enzo Reece
    Colwill Fofana Chaloba
    Petro
    This is a Top 4 Team ...
We don't have top wingers so a 433 is not viable ...
Conte wins the League with this back 3 system at Chelsea

I believe that the club’s owners never planned on keeping Poch for the long haul, only needed for him to steady the ship and replace him with a cheaper alternative, maresca’s stats for Leicester City is similar to poch’s chelsea , it’s more for wages than results, poch will have the last laugh when it falls apart and they sack Maresca. I don’t see the hype about him and I think Leicester plays chaotic football under him, no patterns of play

    • @patricktinashe2812
      @patricktinashe2812 3 месяца назад

Your comment shows how little you understand why Poch had to go and how even this video went over your head.
The style of play wasn't going to be fully visible in one season like it was said in the video it was a culture shock. It's like learning the game from scratch. Pochs system would have under utilitized the players potential with his basketball football. It was never going to be sustainable in the long run.
Enzo Caicedo Lavia these highly rated midfielders which the board invested heavily on are tailor made for a specific type of football Poch didn't understand that. Like a lot of you fans seem to fail to understand it even.

Love your podcast and listen to every episode. I have respect for and appreciate Ben Jacobs, but I’m not sure that I agree with some of his assertions. I could accept being patient and judging the new owners after 4 windows, but this regime has changed Chelsea dramatically in a short period of time. When have the owners/sporting directors exhibited the slightest bit of patience in handling Chelsea? They haven’t exactly proceeded in a thoughtful and deliberate manner. More like a scattered approach while they fumble around and figure out what they’re doing. I’m hoping that the owners/sporting directors have finally gotten it right this time and Maresca will lead Chelsea back to the upper echelon of English and European football. Never a dull moment at CFC!

How much did Ben pay masters paid him? If Merasca is that good as he put it, why didn't they appoint him first time around. All these gibberish he is spilling out is after thought. No matter how you polish it or the spin you put on it, Merasca is a down grade to pochettino. I can't believe Chelsea has done this. One step forward two steps back.

What a sorry state of affairs to see the clown owners briefing the likes of Jacob’s to go on Chelsea fans platforms, only to promote their lies and propaganda. These owners really must take us Chelsea fans, or should I say “customers” as gullible and mugs. We know what the intention of these money ball owners is, and bringing in another yes man coach helps pave the way to fleece our club of everything we have and once were. It is disgusting and embarrassing to see people getting taken in by the relentless PR as our club is stripped bare by these foreign owners
