    I have a problem that my when I grab the clutch basket then the shaft moves side side a little bit(crankshaft probably), the clutch is tight and no movement up and down. Engine runs great, clutch sucks. Is it okay or the engine bearings or something else is shot? Moves like a a millimeter.

      There is a gear that slips into the back of the clutch and a little locking washer that needs to be in there too. Sounds like the gear in the back might be chewed out a little or you're missing the correct washers.

    I have a stomp 150/160 motor and have cracked the clutch case and unable to find a replacement it’s the same engine as yours I’m in the Uk and the part has been discontinued and cannon find another side casing to fit other than a 140 case but it hasn’t got the hole for the oil feed to the head could I just use that and remove the oil feed pipe and just use the oil cooler ?

    my kick start proper kicks back is that normal on a 160cc when it don't start?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      Yep, try to make sure you kick it over from just passed TDC otherwise you will end up doing internal damage to the motor. They really dont like being kicked over from before TDC just puts to much force into the main bearings and will lead to your crankcase possibly failing!

    Can u make more rebuild vids but change the camera angle

      Ill try. I havnt been doing much maintenance since I got the GPX125.....bar changing oil and doing the valves hasnt missed a beat in almost a year now. Will see how I go, might get around to pulling down a 125 or something, they're way simpler than these anyway.

      MrPitBikes what about 140 engine

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  6 лет назад

      Get a GPX 125 if you can. They are a Japanese spec pit bike motor made in china. They are manufactured for the 1/16th mile mini bike racing in japan.

    Decided Im going to use this as a parts motor for the other motor I have. I could put it back together but I think it'll do me more good as parts!!

    My bike have problems going in second gear, instead it goes in neutral. But when its in and i shift up more and then back to second again it stays. Could it be the gearbox or what? Plz help?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      +Ritchii Studiio I recon you shift drum may be loose....there is a 10mm bolt on the magneto side you can get to it under the little rubber cover...try tightening that it may fix this issue!! its just above your sprocket on the motor ;)

      +MrPitBikes my pit bike started doing the same thing
      but when i was shifting gears it was as tho it would half engage into gear if you get me, sometimes it would rev out astho it was in neutral and as it was moving it would slip onto the gear when it was ready.. wierd im glad i dont have that engine anymore but would love to know what was wrong?

      dont think its my tappets mate its the clutch or the gear cogs unless u were replying to my other comment on valves?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      Could be a crack in the crankcase too.....they early Yx's loved doing that on the main bearing for the gearbox..... :(

    Hello mate I got exact same engine as that yx150 we are stripping off head to replace thread on spark plug hole the head isnt coming off pushing it off with a lot of force not coming out all bolts are off don't think I missed anything and also I got a inner rotor kit how will I be able to do timing with that can you explain that for me will appreciate all help thanks

    at 27 minutes you said "that was messed up" was it your gear fork or what I'm having an issue with mine right now not shifting and I cannot figure out why I'm about to split the case myself

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      +Kyle Goff Yeah it was welded back up I had a surge in second. Not selecting is probably your RH crankcase split by the main bearing....very common problem in YX150/60s especcially the earlier gen1 and gen2 YX motors. Good luck!!

      Hmmmm has someone played with your clutch cable???

    • @kylemgoff
      @kylemgoff 8 лет назад

      +MrPitBikes maybe but I broke the motor down and I can watch the shift arm move that gear a day it pull a half turn on a gear and that's as far down it will go then I shift up twice and one the 2nd up shift it pulls that gear just a half turn also

    Is there any difference between pit pro yx160 and a Atomic yx160??? For some reason the pit pro 140 seem to have a lot of grunt than the 160

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  6 лет назад

      Yeah thats the long stroke crank that likes to break the gearbox housings in the 140. The YX and ZS were early race motors. There is 5 speed shit now...im just running my Tokawa 124 in the little bike...

  • @jaremyhawk

    @ mrpitbikes I have the same motor as you I'm looking for a bearing for the countershaft bearing do you know where I can order them from? I shaddered my casing and the bearing as well but I replaced the casing but is there anyway I can prevent it from shaddering again? I've went thru 4 bearings already ...

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      OORacing in the UK make an upgraded bottom end assebmly. ITs much better than the earlier stuff. And designed to strip gears rather than your crankcase or bearings. Maybe have a go at one of them if you can afford it. You have to be careful to kick the bike over from just passed Top Dead Centre. I have seen heaps of these break because of incorrect starting. That is hte main reason they break internally.

    hey mate, also got a yx 150cc, currently the left side crank case has a crack in it near the engine sprocket, to replace that would i need to do a whole rebuild like in this video, or do i just pop the magneto off and replace the casing?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  9 лет назад

      Stuart Owens Yeah you have to pull everything off because of hte countershaft unfortunately. So you'll still need to take the clutch etc to get the left side crankcase out.

    is the component of this engine compatible with kawasaki klx 110 ?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      Some of the head parts are but the bottom ends are completely different. This motor is a copy of a KLX110. So they are mostly different but look very similar.

      The crank that joins the power of the internal to the clutch!

    hello, i have a 110cc (4 stroke), the bike gets shaky and very loud when i accelerate on the first and second gear, it also not that powerful as it used to be, what can i do, and is it possible to take 110cc engine and to replace it with a 125cc or higher?

    • @SHAUNOTPPRODUCER

      +salim mebarki check you valve clearance with feeler gauges im not one to give info as i dont know too much but know abit i did mine they were tight as a bitch i loosend em off to the correct size gauge also dont go too fast in 1st and 2nd

    • @chocolateeyes7017

      ***** thank you, i will try it :)

    • @chocolateeyes7017
      @chocolateeyes7017 8 лет назад

      ***** oh i forgot to as what feeler gauges are the right ones for a 110cc, someone said a .004 feeler gauge for the inlet valve and .006 feeler gauge for exhaust valve, is that true?

    • @MrDirtJumps
      @MrDirtJumps  8 лет назад

      Yep valve clearance should be done every oil change at maximum 20 hours. The chinese motors need oil changes frequently to keep them from destroying themselves! Oil is the blood of the engine if it gets to old it cannot do its job properly. The valve clearances you mention below are correct! I go by 00racing spec. You can go 0.001 less on a 110 with no difference to power too. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOU CLEARANCES FROM TDC or you will destroy your motor! That is crucial! ;)
