    Lovely work.
    I too spend my Sunday mornings contemplating the futility of human existence while crawling around under a table searching for a yoke spring. 😀

    Thanks for the video, very nice and helpful. Only one question : why timegrapher shows lift angle 52, should it be 48 for this movement?

      I always use this for reference. Not sure if i knew this already when I did this service.

    Thank you very much for this detailed video. I know you said you looked it up, but have you changed your thought on the location of the keyless works yoke spring? Some videos I see show it in the position you have it (which you thought was strange) while others have it mounted around the stud above it that the setting lever spring fits onto. It seems that the keyless works functions normally in either location, but I'm trying to repair the problematic keyworks of my 2481 movement, and I'm a novice.

      After checking the Omega Technical guide for this movement, it seems that you placed the yoke spring in the wrong position.

      It is hard to find out exactly just from searching the web. One possibility would be to create a thread in the "omegaforums.net" where sooner or later you would probably get the answer you desire. Otherwise I can tell you that the way I mounted it, it works flawlessly and there is no problem whatsoever. Hope that helps. Regards!

      @@GermanWatchmakingChannelThank you, I've actually done that on 2 forums and have been contacted by 2 Omega certified watchmakers. They tell me and show photos about the proper location, which is with the round end of the yoke spring around the stud. There's also a photo in an Omega Technical guide with a photo also showing that position.

    This is a phenomenal restoration video; one that has greatly helped me on fixing up a friend's Omega 1481. However: at 23.55 you add a "click stop". I have been unable to find this part on either the Omega 1481 Parts List or the Tissot 2481 parts list. Can you provide a part number for this in either Omega or Tissot? Thanks much !

      Hello, firstly thanks a lot and I am glad it could be of help. 1480 - 1414 "stop click" should be the part. Mine looks already a bit rough around the edges I suppose and not like in the spare parts pdf. Or maybe it got exchanged at some point. It does the job tho, putting tension on the setting lever.

      I also got confused by this part. As I'm working on the same movement, I got panicked, that I lost something. But I suspect this part is "not standard", seems like aftermarket tuning. There is another "click stop", 1480.1414, but it is attached to the automatic bridge.

    Great work! Do you take any private requests? I have 2 Omegas similar to this one. Both do not work anymore. The official servicing would cost more, than the watches are worth. But it would still be nice to have them working again...Any suggestions welcome...

    • @GermanWatchmakingChannel
      @GermanWatchmakingChannel  7 месяцев назад +1

      Eventually at some point I would. Also depending on the watches and if it is maybe worth to do a video about them, what is wrong with them, if they need parts and so on.. At the moment I am still pretty busy with my own projects but you can gladly write me an email to the email attached to this youtube channel, maybe with some pictures of the watches and I will try to get back to you. Thanks for you feedback and have a nice christmas time.
