Fished a tourney this past weekend and there were 20 boats including my partner and I... but the point I’m getting to is that everyone had an A-rig hanging of the back .. I threw mine but it didn’t hit .. a youngster caught 2 right beside me in his A-rig .. then I go to watch ur video and ur making an A-rig .. what a coincidence

I was inspired to make my own lure. I spent most of my day in the garage spilling lead and chipping the living daylights out of the wood. In short, it kind of works, it looks like a 2 year old made it, and the hype of super glue and baking soda is real!

Pro tip... If you want to drag an A bomb on the bottom... Put heavier jigs on the bottom and cut the hooks off. Then use lighter 1/16 or 1/8oz jigs on top or even lightly weighted EWG hooks. Also, stop the cast with your thumb. It sends a shock through the line and gets the baits out and away from the wires. So... yup... its a spring bait for prespawn fish. Fall is fitness time. I'm not a pro bass guy, but I've been on TV twice in college tournaments.

Suggestion.... Take the nozzle sprayer off accelerator bottle and soak it in warm water and while nozzle is in warm water, pump it a few times to flush out any impurities. That should help with getting even spray.

Love your videos dude. I’ve never made lures before, but I work with a lot of tubing(soft metals in particular) One tip I might offer is to score and snap your tubing. It takes some touch and feel for the different wall thickness and type of material you’re working with. You will have less rollover with a sharper edge. Then I take a razor blade and chamfer the edge back towards the outside of the tube.

I have an idea for your next A-rig. Same head, but add a treble hook to the bottom of the head, like a crankbait, for the toothy critters. 3 wires out the back (2 shorties on top, 1 long on the bottom). Color match the head with the 2 top shorties and smaller plastics, let's say black. Long bottom is a larger contrasting plastic, let's say white, with the hook. Kinda kills 2 birds with one stone. Hope that all makes sense. Keep up the good work. You still have an open invite to fish some ponds around Des Moines with me. I caught a 6.15 largemouth a couple weeks ago.

You had me hooked, so this lure was a success! Seriously, it is a great looking lure. I loved the color combination, and I could see it as a stand alone double treble hook lipless crankbait.
Looks awesome. You reminded me I have an A rig I’m gonna try using it again this year. Gotta build some confidence using it.
