I use a home made one, but that one is way nicer with the catch bottles. It's a great way to get into that bedrock
Very cool device! This is the first I have ever heard of a hand dredge.
Hey Swamp Fox!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD Hey man! Fancy seeing you over here. Small world. I frequent Stephen’s channel.
i have that same dredge, live near Dahlanga Ga, summer is here, off I go, wish me heavey pans
Thanks that caut my eye in another video but no info on it.
Wish you had paned the jar content separately.
Cool setup indeed fam. Keep on having fun getting that au and living the dream fam. Gold Squad Out!!!
That was interesting. Thank you for the demonstration. GL&HH.
I guess I will have to get my hand dredge out, just to keep up with Southern Relics boys.🤔🤔👍👍Thanks for sharing your adventure brother.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
That thing is fun to use. Next time we will pull up some gold with it, I’m sure
Have a great weekend coming up
The idea of the jar is it acts like a fluid bed. your gold should in theory end up in the jar.
I bought the same one, an awesome little device.🎉
That’s awesome. Heavy pans, and thanks for watching
Nice Hand Dredge great panning
Neat hand dredge!
It works great
Good luck. Keep Going!
Thanks. And thanks for watching
Great video! What's the advantage of having some material coming into the side bottle and some discharging from the main inlet, instead of just discharging everything from the main inlet if you had no side bottle?
I believe the theory is that when the material is entering the unit, the heavies are going to fall into the bottle. This wasn’t demonstrated in this video very well.
Cool. I’ll try to make my own. Looks like a pretty straightforward device. I say that now. 😂 Happy Hunts.
I almost did that. Just watch a couple videos about making them. The rubber seal portion is the most important piece to get right.
@@southernrelics Yep, and that breather hole at the top, cause without it, you ain’t suckin anything up. Lol
nice there great stuff to use ;)
I believe that's true in jar is a gold trap. I think you should plan that by itself first 🥇
We use them a lot here in Australia as we can't dredge at all 🇦🇺⛏️🤠
Awesome!
I found a super great spot for gold while fishing in SC. It’s a giant natural sluece in a river
It’s on bed rock and a good place to fish.
Oh nice!
Allways wonted to try this
Very cool. I'm in Hartsville, SC. I've done a little panning but no success so far.
Keep at it!
You should come up to the Spring Dirt Fling in NC this April.
I need to look into this event. Thanks.
Where can I find the details on it?
@@southernrelics I'll send you the link on IG
Hmm! It's only been 1 years but that eBay site for that suction dredge can't be found.
Do you still have the user info, mfg, model # on it?
Does it come preassembled or as a kit? Since the nozzles can be broken, that part shouldn't be glued. Plus I was thinking of a second nozzle adapter with a PEX tube for smaller cracks.
Have you used it since this video?
Where do I get one of these kind? Or how is it made? The link you shared is no longer available
Thanks for letting me know. I’ll go in and fix that.

How long does it take you to get an ounce of gold this way?
It’s all going to depend where you are at. This is mainly a prospecting (test panning) hand dredge used to hit areas that you can get to with a full dredge.
