Wedding Planner, Kelsey Wilson, is about to have her big break: planning her beloved cousin's lavish and exclusive wedding. Everything is going smoothly until Connor McClane, a devilishly handsome private investigator, shows up and turns Kelsey's world upside-down. My American buddies invited me over and told me that they could offer me a rent-free place to stay in a suburb of San Diego, California, and in downtown Austin, Texas ...
Being on a tight budget, I would be able to visit only one of those states ...
Which of them do you think I should choose and why?
My main interests are practicing my American English with native speakers, visiting natural wonders and meeting single women searching for a life partner.
(I sure hope that American women are as nice and caring as they are portrayed in all those Hallmark movies).
Also, my friends suggested that I learn to use some US slang or I won’t be able to communicate with the local residents on a proper level but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort …
Won’t Americans be trying to express their thoughts in plain English seeing that they are dealing with a foreigner?

Both places have their advantages. Austin would be a place to meet young single women because of the University of Texas, etc. (I lived in Austin when I was a young single woman! That was years ago but going to the Lakes on weekends and Hamilton Pool and visiting the clubs on 6th street and the places near the college is what we did then and perhaps has not changed that much!) Don't worry about your English you will learn! San Diego is beautiful and it is California! Maybe your friends have some suggestions!!
What a wacky bizarre movie. Not sure if I hate it or like it. But never get engaged to someone you have not seen through at least 1 year of good times and bad times. For certain don't marry someone you barely know!
