This is so me after 5 years in a realtionship that when he drank I got abused. Now I'M standing on my own to feet don't need him anymore
I left my fiance of 4years together and 1year engaged
Yes Queen!!!! Show him who’s boss!!!!
Yes queens
You go girl!!
God, I love self-empowering songs that don't make excuses for toxic people or paint abusive behaviour as romantic or acceptable.
AnnikaOakinnA agreed!
we need more empowering songs like this- to teach girls & boys (& LGBGTqqqxyz in case I missed anyone):
be confident and learn about self worth young..
no one is incomplete without another person. Shine bright, sisters.
I'm with you, ladies!

[Verse 1]
I retired my red lipstick 'cause you said you didn't like it
I didn't wear my high heel shoes
'Cause I couldn't be taller than you
I didn't wanna lose my friends, but now it's hard to even find them
It's what you wanted, ain't it?
It's what you wanted
[Pre-Chorus]
I thought I'd miss you (when it ended)
I thought it hurt me (but it didn't)
I thought I'd miss you
I thought I'd miss you
[Chorus]
But I miss me more
I miss my own beat, to my own snare drum
I miss me more
Miss my own sheets in the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams, I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before I ever kissed you
Yeah, I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more (I miss me more)
[Verse 2]
I put on my old records that I hid in the back of the closet
And I turn them up to ten
And then I played them all again
I found my independence
Can't believe I ever lost it
What you wanted, ain't it?
It's what you wanted
[Pre-Chorus]
I thought I'd miss you (when it ended)
I thought it hurt me (but it didn't)
I thought I'd miss you
Yeah, I thought I'd miss you
[Chorus]
But I miss me more
I miss my own beat, to my own snare drum
(I miss me more)
Miss my own sheets in the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams, I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before I ever kissed you
Yeah, I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more (I miss me more)
[Bridge]
I thought I'd miss you
I thought it hurt me
And I'd wanna kiss you
I thought I'd miss you
[Chorus]
But I miss me more
I miss my own beat, to my own snare drum
(I miss me more)
Miss my own sheets in the bed I made up
I forgot I had dreams, I forgot I had wings
Forgot who I was before I ever kissed you
And I thought I'd miss you
But I miss me more

You are my hero I have been looking for lyrics forever all I found was karaoke u or audios it the musical video and it even tho some of the said lyrics it's was just karaoke
My theme song!
Thanks but….there’s also lyric videos :)
@@jacobgoodstone7572 no there's only 2 lyric videos and neither have sound
@@jacobgoodstone7572yeah and the sound don’t work on any of them
I think country is always about telling a story. I think that's what always draws me in to this genre. She is nailing that with these songs. I love it!
Oh friend, you need to listen to old school blues like bb king & Aretha Franklin if you think country is the only gene that tells stories. Heck, go back to folksy stuff like Joni Mitchell & Phoebe Snow (tho I grant this song is more empowering). :)
This isn’t country, not even close. This is pop, she just needs to switch over.
This is definitely not country. Just a country label
A lot of songs are like that, genre doesn't matter. Some are just whatever, but most songs, especially those written by the artists, do tell a story. Example: 100 Years by Five For Fighting, Violet Hill by Coldplay, Who Knew by Pink, Hurt by Christina Aguilera, and Like Toy Soldiers by Eminem. All non country but all tell a story.
@@hannahl4269 it's a bit of both. Like early Taylor Swift.
Hell yeah. I was in a relationship like this - I thought he was everything, that I needed to do whatever he wanted. It felt like I was walking on air for more than a week after I left him. Being all of me for the first time in years was amazing. I missed me more than I knew, and I'm so glad I got that back. Him on the other hand? Never.
Nice girl. Lol I don't think I'd let anyone do this to me but just because I'm a middle schooler I know how it hurts trust me I have a mind of an adult
YESSS!!!!!!
He broke up with me yesterday and now I cannot stop listening to song
I agree with you on everything u say, I have the same problem too.
Me but with a crush 😅
This song became my new jam after only hearing a few seconds. It makes me want to put it on repeat
Love this song sounds like me with my ex. I missed me more i don't miss him..😅😅
Yes, because when you learn to love God, you learn to love yourself.
I did put this on repeat😂
👍 Agreed!!!!!
Definitely catchy!
Pop? Country? WHATEVER!!! I call this FANTASTIC!!!

To my ex that thought it was a good idea to leave me on Christmas 2017. But more importantly to me. I have found someone new and it feels great.
Who's the ex thats gonna catch these hands?😤🤬
Kate S. I’m glad to hear that
Wow. On Christmas? That's f'ed up. I hope you're doing better now
I got into a car crash on Sunday and the he broke up with me yesterday I miss me more
Savanna Lelaikes wow that’s so heartless. Good thing you don’t have to deal with him anymore.
so this song is the lipsync for episode 13?
This song is perfect for anyone who had been involved in a narcistic relationship and woke up realizing they were a codependent.
Came here from rupaul's drag race ✨💖
Who came here becuase you heard it in the radio 📻
I did 😎😛🥴🤚🏻
Hello Blink how are you doing hope you're doing great with your family may God bless you more
She has one of the best voices in not only County music but all genres.
Who else is scrolling through comments while listening? This song is so good tho!! Kelsea never fails to impress me❤

Meh
It went double platinum and I promise you our country station plays this constantly and I love it cause it made me have the courage to leave my abusive ex
Another good country song that's similar is Gunpowder & Lead.
Absolutely love this song, she is extremely talented.
Lost me my self and I ,because of falling love with someone ,who had no heart ,but only him self in all he took away from me
Idk why but whenever I hear the chorus of this song I picture one of those scenes from a Western movie where the hero comes walking up to the villain for a shootout and everything is all tense and the hero just keeps slowly and confidenly walking forward and you can tell it’s going to be the best part of the movie:)
Am I the only one who thinks the couplet sounds really country? And who cares it's not a typical country song, IT'S REALLY DOPE
Love this song!!!!! Perfect break up song!!!!
I am 62 and can so relate to this. Great song!
Get it ma'am

Can people please zip it with "It doesn't sound like country"? Who the hell cares? She makes incredible music, so I don't care if it's pop, country, country-pop or whatsoever. Keep on doing these amazing ballads and anthems, Kelsea!
best thing is she´s happy, found her hubby AND her sound - and this one even calls for nice remixes ... thumbs up, even for for her chritable work (the video with that little girl singing "let it go" in a hospital to her is unforgotten. She´s about to rise - well deserved :) #letthegirlsplay #songsuffragette #nashville #dj #news
Kevin_Fuchs YESSSSS🙌🏼 she’s an artist regardless... I mean I hate to compare them but look at Taylor she transitioned into pop without any complainers. And by the way, this does have kelsea’s XO vibes so calm down haters.
Kevin_Fuchs If everyone does that who else will be left with country music?
Kevin_Fuchs SOOO what it's not country TBH country music is BORING
Brittany Andrews Forget it now.Actually you didn't get what I meant.I've heard the rest of the album and found amazing songs in them.So I don't care about this one track and by "Older Sound" I meant a song like 'Peter Pan' which is kind of more dripped with feels its not about the Identical sounds in music or something. Anyways I love her album, the rest of her songs are pure gems.
I love country music and i love kelsea 4 ever. I be like I miss me more.Plan on going to her concert. She needs to be awarded more awards

hey thanks for the lyrics 😱
Thanks Shannon Crosby
Love this song 😊
if you actually listen you can hear a bit of a banjo/acoustic background and Kelsea adding her raspiness and accent to the song really brings out the country. It does sound kinda pop at first listen but she has said in multiple interviews i have seen that her style is country-pop. It is a mix between the two genres. So for all of you who listened to it once and decided it was "too pop" listen again. listen for the banjo/acoustic. listen to how the accent in her voice blends with the melody and rhythm of the song. just actually listen to it.
Brittany Andrews also I was only saying this to argue against everyone who is saying it sounds more like a pop song. Can we be civil and just agree to disagree and leave it alone. We both like the song, right? So let's just leave it alone
@@tavenallen3596 yes i agree with you, thank you
Country is country.
You don't have to listen closely to hear it.
Go listen to some of the country greats...pasty cline, hank williams....
She's got a out night before just like he does. Sorry about your dam luck but that's how it goes. I habe been with my best friends bachelor party.

Didn’t know this song until I heard at work and it came on as I was saying this to myself 😽 thank you Kelsea for a wonderful relate-able songs
Recently went through a break up with a narcissist. I discovered I really lost myself in that 12 year relationship. I heard this song over a speaker at a fast food restaurant. I had to come home and find it it’s my new mantra!
This song makes me say "heyll ya" many times throughout 👊👊👊
This is my new jam!!
Lol as a dude I feel slightly out of place in this girl-power comment section, but I just have to say that these break-up vibes are pretty hype!
Great sound!! Great voice! Can really relate! Where you in my boots?? HITS HOME!! Absolutely love this song!!! 😮🙃😮
Just heard this song in a CVS store today and had to look it up. Thought it was Carrie Underwood at first. It’s been on repeat ever since.
I remember us going over the lyrics when you stopped in at Fight Night Batesville Armory you sang National Anthem and We synchronize one song from you . Can you recall that . Before you hit Nashville and recorded Miss Me More and others
I love this song. It tells a lot about my life right now. It was suggested to me by a friend.
Hello Patricia how are you doing hope you're doing great with your family may God bless you
This song is my new combo for my dance class and I’m obsessed with the dance we’re doing for the song
I listen this song over and over as my empowerment over the narcissistic abuse I took from ‘him/it’ that I became a victim of. Thank you Kelsea
always amazing!
For all ppl complaining that this "isn't country" She's a country-Pop singer so zip it
I loveeeeee this song she is so talented
This is my favorite break up and favorite country song
It’s very empowering
Sure this isn't full blown Country, but if you haven't noticed all the Country music that has been coming out lately isn't really "Country" either. With a few exceptions. Times are changing people. Either change with it or get the hell out. Simple.
P.S It's a BOP
Yesss and Kelsea is country. This song has pop vibes.... but her voice is country and nothing else❤️❤️she’s amazing
Brittany B exactly what I mean. She’s country and can’t be pop. Some of her stuff may sound pop-ish, but she isn’t. And neither is her music
Brianna Bush pretty much all the dang music labeled is country obviously you don't know what country is so yah....
Brittany B it’s that not all of her back tracks to her songs sound like a country track but her lyrics and voice sound country. That’s what I mean it may sound a bit pop but it isn’t.
Rileigh Johnston first of all why you're trying to get smart with me, I grew up listening to "old school country," so I do know what "real country music" sounds like. Everything coming out on Country Radio leans strongly towards POP music, with bits and pieces of Country elements thrown in. I'm not saying that's a bad thing bc it makes the music more enjoyable, but this song isn't "Real Country Music." Sure she has the twang in her voice, but this seems more suitable for POP radio. It's a BOP either way, so I'm not complaining.
Katchy Situation!!!!! 🔊🎵🎶🌀👯♀️💃🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻🧚🏻

My ex hated herself, so in turn she was jealous of AND hated everyone else and made me into someone like her, getting away from her was like coming up for air after nearly drowning

Every song ever made is about telling a story. This song is a story of any woman who finally came to realize what was taken away from her by a man who slowly stole her identity. She misses her real self! The first time I heard it I actually thought it was Miranda. It sounds a lot like her.
This song is my favorite
