Yasuo is easily countered in the laning phase/in teamfights assuming that you have atleast 1 bruiser/tank that can CC him. Not hard to play against him due to being melee. (Diamond 3 for the record)
Looks fine in game so it's probably just to make sure they don't look tiny when you're actually playing. I think Riot gave the same reason for Karma being very bottom-heavy when they relaunched her - because the camera is so far away and you're looking almost straight down, the camera perspective makes characters look top-heavy so they balance it out in the model. Look at Irelia - she doesn't look so bad in-game (just looks a bit thick from the waist down) but her model is 2/3 hips and legs. They probably wanted to exaggerate Akali's hands to make her look more solid. It also fits Riot's recent direction with exaggerating some body parts and lets them put more articulation in her hands - if they were sized realistically, you wouldn't see her fingers very well (they'd probably be a pixel or two thick at 1080p, even when she has her hands raised) so there'd be no point in really animating them nicely.

No more energy restore on empowered attacks, no more heal on Q, her Twilight Shroud won't hide her under a turret, she can no longer mini-stun enemies with the first cast of ult, her ult is now a target-first before becoming a skillshot, and she now deals magic damage with both parts of her ult It's so sad they had to change her up a ton cause she was just so broken

She cant insta gib you under the tower and she isnt invincible, if you are that low under tower back up once she uses her shroud and then dodge her E so she cant chase you.
She can't dive you unless you push her. She has a pretty weak wave clear early game because her damage on Q is nuts. She also suffers from being ganked. She is pretty much like Zoe and Yasuo. Push them to their towers and they can't do anything. Besides the one who created rework Akali is the one who created Yasuo and Zoe.
Notice that in their example the Xerath is *full health* and she can dive him to zero. and lvl 3 with the mobility, you wont be able to escape to the next turret

While inside her W, she's could either use E or R to engage. So then again, unless you're braindead or something, you would keep out of her range.

Yeah, missing out Season 8's early days and coming back later to play some champs must have broken you down. Good days when Irelia and Akali were the most busted champs when they first came out.
Imagine if that room with Akali and Shen is a game mode they plan on releasing. Like a 1v1 sort of thing where two players are on each side but then the rooms open and you fight in the corridor.

Firefrog Her E is telegraphed, so you can tell by her animation which attack she will cast. It's either stay away from the range of the skill or weave sideways. While inside her W, she's could either use E or R to engage. So then again, unless you're braindead or something, you would keep out of her range.

June 16, 2020 -- Sooo, I reinstalled and played ARAM for the first time in almost a year. I got Akali and was shocked she was reworked. Boy oy boy was I disappointed. Not only did I not know how to play her, but she felt sooooo weak. Then I come here today to see how this champ works and WTF?? I didn't see half of this during my match! Then I look at the comments to find out just how into oblivion she's already been nerfed. Oi. RIP.
