@@TarkshyaPictures Hi Tarkshya, that's literally the question that everyone wants to know but there's no answer anywhere on the web. Did you ever find out the answer?
Hey Riley, what Sennheiser radio mics are those that can output to 3.5mm? Most radio mics I've used only feed into an XLR but I'm sure we've got some of those older Sennheiser radio mics floating around the studio somewhere...
Very good video. I’m deffinitely going to order a split cable like that Hosa cable. And just copy left/right signal to the different tracks to make them «fake stereo» but at least then you have them seperately!
Hi Riley. What mic are you using for weddings? I bought the Deity mini to try at a Bar Mitzvah party and the audio was distorted with the loud music. I have a new Sony A6600. Thank you
Hey Greg! I use a sennheiser wireless mic and a ride video micro on board the camera and then I use a tascam to record audio from the DJ’s mix. That way the music is straight from the board and isn’t distorted.
Hi Riley, If one of the audio cables plugs into your rhode on camera ambient mic does the second one plug into a transmitter receiver with a hot/cold shoe attachment for the mic on the subject?
Hi Riley. I wanted to try this myself. Thids unit from SONY is way to big, and clumsy. So I bought a camble from Clicktronic, its seems to be stereo, but its now splitting the signal. So it means there are many cambles that just send the two signals and "merge" it into the same file I guess then ?And that I need that specific cable. Right ?
...and also, the cable you have tin the video, is NOT the same as in the link ! Are you sure this cable in the link spilt ! the channels, ( I dont want to buy the wrong cable again ), I bouht a Clicktronic, that does nOT spilt signal .
@@joshuagutzeit4690 One should be on the right and the other will be on the left. It might be different depending on your NLE but you can always duplicate your audio and mute one of the two sources on each. That way you have two independent tracks you can mix together.
Hey Riley, Is there a setting you have to change in camera to allow the mixer to work? I have a sarasonic AX-100 and when I plug it in nothing happens. First time trying it on the A7iii but used them on other DSLR cams with no problem. Thanks
There might be a setting on the mixer itself but probably not in the camera. My mixer has a switch for camera vs a smart phone as well as phantom power on and off. So depending on the mixer and mics you may need to adjust some of those settings.

Thanks! I appreciate the encouragement!
This was a life saver for me, I'm going to so a documentary tomorrow and my mixer is Broken. So I'm going to buy this one so thanks alot 😎🤘
Good luck with the doc shoot!!
hey bro can we use lavalier mic and sony's wireless hot shoe mic (Sony ECM-B1M Shotgun Microphone) simultaneously?
That’s a great question! I’m not sure. I don’t have a mic that interfaces with the hot shoe.
@@RileyEndicott ohh ok bro, thanks for the reply 😊, ur videos are really informative and useful, thanks for the tutorials
@@TarkshyaPictures Thanks for watching! If I’m able to find an answer I’ll be sure to report back but so far I’m not seeing much on that.
@@RileyEndicott thank you so much brother ❤️

It’s the ew 100 G3 pack. It’s several years old so there might be newer models. It came with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.
yep pretty standard for pro radio mics like these Sennheisers to have both XLR and minijack out
This absolutely will help in the upcoming project I'm working on, THANKS!
So glad to hear that!
Whoa, I had no idea you could do that! Killer a7S3 audio tip - thank you for sharing and making this video!
Thanks dude!
Thank you, Riley. Very interesting. Have a great day! 😀

Thanks dude! Yeah it’s definitely a helpful little tool to have.
Thanks for sharing those tips!
Really good* info, surprised why barely anyone else has touched on this subject. Thank you for the video !
Edit: “good”*
Is there such thing as the saramonic but with export for headphones?
so, you mean that if i want to use 2 lavaliers i have to take two receptors? It was not clear to me in the video

Is there any audio quality loss when using a XLR to 3.5mm adapter into the audio jack?
Hi Riley,
If one of the audio cables plugs into your rhode on camera ambient mic does the second one plug into a transmitter receiver with a hot/cold shoe attachment for the mic on the subject?
Both mics plug into the stereo mic jack on the camera with a splitter 🙂
Awesome …thanks
so good thank you
Happy to help :)

Yes. You need a specific type of cable that splits the stereo signal. The one I mention in the video and have the description does that.
I've had this cord for years but it doesnt seem to work at all with my Sony A7IV or my FX3
How can you split the channels in post?
BC if you do it like that the Lav is on the right ear and the shotgun on the right ?

SO annoying that the Sony doesn't allow independent mono control of split tracks. I don't get that.
@@HenryBLeeNYC It’s because it’s a stereo signal 🙂 Adding something like the K3M will add 2 additional mono tracks in addition to the stereo signal
You lost me when you said you talk about faith. Why you do Christian’s always have to force your religion down peoples throats!
I’m just stating a few of my interests. Definitely not trying to force anything- it’s rarely talked about on the channel.
