- This Sony TV only had a green standby light but would not turn on. The issue was bad protection diodes inside the tv, you can fix this yourself by using a screwdriver and braking off the protection diodes.

Thanks for sharing another repair video.
Did you put in a replacement diode or just remove the bad one ??
Had 3 diodes discolored, carefully popped all the front ones off. red 6 still…. popped off the back diodes. Still 6 red blinking lights. Wondering if I need to replace all the LED strips.

Can you remove both of the little diodes for each strip? I just did mine and I only did the bottom one like yours showed bud it’s still not turning on. Let me know and I’ll break the other 6 little ones off

The let's turn on exactly like in your video with no picture though.
My flash is six red lights black screen do you think it's the LED or the board? I saw a video where the guy just cuts a wire and grounds it You think that's a viable option I have the same model you have
you could try it, you have nothing to lose.
I tried that first. Ground the BL error wire. It did NOT work. The blinking red light stayed green, so the bypass worked. But the picture would not come on.
