    Amazing work...outstanding considering the size of the TV!!!

    So far watching this video has convinced me to never buy a 75 inch TV. Ever. That said, really good video. I learned a bit from this about how to tackle a project like this. How big that TV is, definitely presents a challenge. I think, the biggest thing would be to just start with the beer, off the bat. It, definitely, looks like a necessary tool in the completion of this repair.

    I had the same error. Without your video i probably never started to repair the TV. The new LEDstrps were different to the old ones. I replaced all LEDs. Thanks for your video. IT saved a lot of time. It took me only a half day. :-)

      @@michaelclift6849 I used a thin knife made from a plastic bottle for the background paper (diffuser) and a thin real cutter for removing the LED strips. Other stuff was nearly the same. But you showed me what was next to do. I was running your video all the time during the repair. Thanks again.

    I gotta say, watching this is like watching a series on Netflix. Today I have started to repair my Sony KDL-70W850B and using your video as reference to what I need to do. I've got most of it apart and I'm on the "episode" of removing sticky tape off the corners right before trying to separate the back from the screen. Oh how this would be so much easier with someone helping me. One question I have for you is... why did you not add the LED strips with the back laying flat on a table instead of standing up on its side?

    • @michaelclift6849
      @michaelclift6849  2 года назад

      Limited space. I already had the screen on the table. I would have needed another table of the same size. Good luck!

    I finally stripped my bravia KD-65X7052 today, after it wouldn't turn on, flashing red 6 times; this is almost always a backlight issue with Sony TV'S, so I'm told.
    I'm finding LEDs almost impossible to find anywhere. Even the part numbers on the actual LEDs themselves bring back nothing online in terms of stockists.
    Two year old TV, bought for £1,000 - and something as ridiculous as a BULB failing may see it being thrown in a skip 😔
    These tv's are clearly built to fail, as repair is a crazy process. The TV shop I rang last week basically said that they'll attempt repair, but if they break the screen during removal, they don't accept liability 🤔
    Hence I stripped it myself... Although I'm none the wiser for it 😕

    • @michaelclift6849
      @michaelclift6849  2 года назад

      Did you try complaining to Sony? Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. As for the leds, I would query the sellers of other backlight led kits. They may know which kit is compatible with your tv. Failing that, there are second hand parts available, but who knows when they will fail again.. www.ebay.com.au/itm/334298377677

    hi i watched your video it was great by the way the only thing i buggered up is the deflective sheets you said to tape the corners so we dont mix them up well i forgot to tape them the grandkids bumped them and they ended up on the floor i put them back the way i thought they went and yeah the pictures not right plus i can finely see the leds through the picture would you have any idea which order they go in thanks j

    • @michaelclift6849
      @michaelclift6849  2 года назад

      From memory, there were some staggered tabs on the edge which indicated the order. I only remember that the courser one's went on first (closer to the leds) , and the more opaque-foggy one went on last.

Do you any idea what the problem could be? Is it the copper screen attachments under the bezel? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
