uuuu Guatemala!! my favorite!! 🇬🇹😍 You going to love it! Definitely try to do the Acatenango volcano hike! Highlight of my Central America trip!! 🤩 Enjoy and thank you for watching!
I agree with you, Guatemala is one of the most underrated countries I have been to. When I was at Lake Atitlan I couldn't help but wonder why such a breathtaking place isn't more well known. At least for now it's a hidden gem I guess :)
Such a great itinerary! Thanks for sharing all this great info! We are checking these destination off one by one and it’s great to see you highlights for each country
I think the prices went up the past few years with the digital nomad some people were able to work remotely and travel…. Some of the Airbnb’s and Hostel’s doubled…. or tripled…. With all the crime in different countries they’re also suggesting that Visitors hire a guide for Hiking so all these things are adding up so much
You mentioned that it was SO expensive.. but you went to the most expensive locations in your first country! Panama City is on par with any large city in the world and pretty pricey, as is the San Blas Islands. Had you went to the inner parts of Panama you would have found a backpackers paradise. Waterfalls and beautiful mountains. It's right next to Costa Rica, without the commercialization. I spent 10 days there and it was awesome and not expensive. I have not been to the other countries but I am betting that you went to places that catered to tourists so they charged tourist prices. Having said that, I want to go to Guatemala next. thanks for the info.
Thank you so much for the comment! Yes, definitely agree, I am sure there are cheaper places in Panama but San Blas was my dream to go to for many years so I had to hahaha and prices I was mostly comparing to South American countries. I do still think Central America is more expensive than South America. I could go to most touristic locations in SA and still would be cheaper than non-touristic places in CA. Only personal experience and opinion 🙏 Thank you so much for sharing your insights, I really appreciate it 😊
Hi! Great video! I want to backpack from Belize to Panama in 2 weeks. What route and stopping points would you recommend to me? I would like to fly into each country and also participate in activities that are not to far from a departure location. Thanks!
Thanks 😊 uhhh… in 2 weeks it will be difficult! I would definitely recommend not missing out on Guatemala, it is a true gem of Central America. I don’t think you can squeeze all countries in 2 weeks 😔
Hello! Thank you for this video, which island in Honduras do you mean between nicaragua and el salvador please? I know the ones recommended in the east coast but not west one
Uh I don’t remember now as I never ended up going via there, sorry 🙏 I think an option I also consider was taking the road by the coast to go from Nicaragua to El Salvador
Great video! I am planning to go back to Central America in 2024 after some 7 years. Interesting to hear about internet in Nicaragua. It's a wonderful place to visit though..As you are also working remotely - do you share accommodations you are staying at? Thanks.
Thank you! Yes, I would love to go to Nicaragua but couldn't risk about internet at the time. No, I am too old for that :D I did for a long time but now I travel with my boyfriend so we share half half on apartments. Between 2 people it works out ok. But I see how for solo traveler renting a whole apartment is a bigger cut in a budget. I been looking into co-living, but there again you share a kitchen and it is not for me anymore.
that internet thing has to be an anomaly because I have seen many very recent vidoes from people that live there and have internet no problem. One guy breaks down the cost of living.
Enjoyed hearing about the route you took for travels. Do you mind sharing the finances and costs of the trip? What was the overall budget you tried to keep it under?
I traveled as a digital nomad for 9 months through Central América and it is not as you say. I spent a month in Nicaragua working perfectly fine, wifi is not banned whatsoever. I went to Honduras and El Salvador (a month in each) and absolutely nothing violent happened to me. You lie about Central América. You speak as a typical European privileged.

Right! Lake Atitlan was such a magical spot...maybe because it wasn't yet overcrowded with tourists. I can't wait to go back!
This makes me excited to hear! I'm planning 3 weeks this july/august

Great vlog! I will be travelling Central America next year for 8 months.
How did you budget your trip? And how much did you end up spending?
How do you travel from place to place?
Depends on the area. Specifically Central America mostly with a plane. But for example South America was way better with the bus 🚌 so it depends on

Amazing itinerary. Nicaragua would have been very cool to see. All the best with your travels!
Thank you 😊 Yes I know 😥, I really wanted to visit but just couldn't take that risk at the time :( maybe at some point when I will have less work
What do you think is so expensive about Belize? We found ot extremely affordable.
Will you be doing a video of your home country?
Ah nice! for me - Everything...tours, hotels, apartments. Yes, I want to do one, but I feel like there is so much pressure on doing one like that :D
Oh super, same like mine :)
Really?! Nice!! 😊😊
@@AlikiTravelBlog yess can you f aal lo w me, i am new here

I'm from Honduras not everywhere is unsafe so don't say things like that if you really don't know the country
Así es, sólo fue una excusa para no visitar Honduras, porque también se saltó El Salvador, una lástima.
I was looking for a comment like this!! Thank you so much, I want to go to all Central American countries next year 😊
It is

Never said anything bad about El Salvador. Never said internet is banned in Nicaragua.
