100% agree with everything you said about getting out of your comfort zone and just being open to everything. It makes every experience so much better!
Hahaha when we decided to go to the Middle East and Bali a couple years ago we heard the same thing "why would you go there, it's so dangerous" and we went anyway and had the best time of our lives! It's so important not to listen to people and go with your gut feeling. We loved this video.
Wow that's amazing :) Go with your gut!! I love that - Such an important life lesson! We also hope to get over to that side of the world soon 😍Thank yall - We are glad you enjoyed the video ❤
That intro was 🔥love this video a lot, guys! Thanks for showing us why we should all get out of our comfort zones, whether in where we choose to travel, what languages we practice, or where we stay! You may have already covered this already before, but how do you guys go about finding homestays? Something we are definitely curious about, but have never tried! (Also loved the JENNA room call out.😂)
Thank y'all so much! We partially credit this video to yall because we were wanting to make this video but after you called us the other day we were feeling extra inspired and started making the plans for the video - So thank you!!! So we actually have found Homestays through Airbnb! It's not very common, but when we happen to find them we try to get them ASAP! The other way we looked into homestays is through language schools, but since we are fast travelers (a bit last minute compared to the average traveler) we haven't utilized those. ahhahaha I was trying to not announce that it was my room but I guess my obvious name sign gave it away 😆
@@JourneywithJenandDrew aw that makes us happy to hear! :) and super helpful tip about homestays! definitely will keep an eye out for these kinds of stays in the future for our travels :)
Very cool, interpreters for Spanish in our military used to be sent to Guatemala and Costa Rica for 30 days for immersion training. They woould stay with a host family, that spoke no English!
Something I learned is that everywhere is dangerous. As long as you take the right safety precautions for the area you're in you'll probably be okay. Some people just get unlucky but you can get unlucky in your hometown like you shouldn't let it stop you from doing what you want to do
How was the WiFi? Did you seek out good WiFi? We’re thinking about traveling in Central America and require decent speeds for work! It seems pretty variable from the research we’ve done
Hello! 😊 The wifi was tricky... we were able to find solid working wifi at a Selena hostel though, we ended up getting day passes there to get work done!
Hello, After traveling to a each hemisphere this year .. I plan to live Abroad next year for 6 months in Central America . El Salvador, Belize, Costa Rica. 2 months each (to avoid needing an extended Visa in those countries). My Question is With my passport will I be able to just fly from each country to the next ? Will there be any hassle getting back into the US after ? Looking forward to your response. Love the vlog by the way
From what we know you shouldn’t have any problems traveling from country to country! You might get some hassle from the US customs when you come back but they shouldn’t. It really depends on the customs agent! And thanks so much for watching 😁
Thanks guide for us to see beautiful places
