These videos should be somewhat instructional on how to counter subs. But they're not. All they show is that no counterplay exists. All a player can do is hope the sub driver fucks up, to even get a shot at him. And then they wonder why everyone is hiding in the back.
@@derek96720 A little, but in the end, DD's can't hide, certainly not from cruisers and other DD's. They also can NEVER close unseen to a range where torpedo hits are guaranteed. With subs, even another sub is not a counter to a sub, with DD's that is absolutely the case. Cruisers and DD's can use the RL skill, which doesn't work against a submerged sub. HYDRO doesn't work against a submerged sub, which is what it is for! So no, there are a few crucial differences between subs and DD's. DD's have counters. Subs do not. WG have made subs another protected class, just like CV's.

It's no fun to be on the receiving end of it. But let me tell you it's no fun to be on the receiving end of good Shima player either. Or any good player for that matter. Don't get me wrong, subs are strong, but between good sub player and good DD player, I would always pick latter in my team. Yes, subs have damage, but DDs have spotting, smoke, radar, torps, guns, capping, AA. I mean average damage of tier X sub is only 45k and that sub is Gato, premium one. Ragnar has 62k on average...
@@amaratc There is no counterplay to a sub. If you have to rely on the its driver to fuck up in order for you to be able to defend yourself, that's not counterplay. But it's the only thing you've got. I don't understand why people find it so hard to admit the crucial differences between a sub and the rest of the classes. DD's are only a real threat to BB's, and if those BB's have hydro the threat is much diminished again. A sub is a threat to all other classes, and only CV's get a realistic defense because again, they too are a protected class. If I'm in a Moskva, I can fight any other class, except a sub. If he's dumb and pings me I get to use my airstrike, and I have a tiny chance of doing something to him. If he just uses regular torps, the first I will know about it is when he launches at me from 2.1 kms. Hydro doesn't detect him until it's irrelevant, radar only when he's surfaced and why would he be surfaced? It's all bullshit. As for the damage numbers, subs have been in game for a relatively short time and we're blessed in that most good players despise subs and won't touch them. The ones that do invariably wreak havoc. Subs are usually played by the same type of potato that also plays CV's, the type of player that can only have fun if they're in cheat mode. Why do sub rudders and launchers not break? Why do they get double BXP? Why do they require so much damage to be killed relative to their HP? Why don't hydro and Radio Location spot subs? Why is the best tactic by far for all classes to run away from a sub? I know you're not gonna change your mind, in spite of all the things I already mentioned that only apply to subs and no other class. It's a weird mechanic that WoWs players feel a need to defend the indefensible. It's staring you in the face and yet... Anyway. Have fun playing. 👍
Why u dont post the REAL build which the player had used?? We all know the recomended builds , we are interested when we watch a player to see what build had used ( modules,captain skills ) !!!
Submarines are like spices. They add excitement in the game by making it more historically accurate. If you hate submarines then use destroyers in the game instead of battleships and cruisers.

Enemy's sub died in 2 minutes. No CV . DD not there. No radar....
