So my wife bought us tickets to see the Hot Sardines next week... and this is my first listen. Have to say... now I'm really looking forward to the show. I only wish the venue was a smokey bar instead of a concert hall... a sultry piece like this deserves to be accompanied by something served neat.
They just played an art museum I work at last saturday night. They freakin killed it. I had such a nice conversation with Evan and Elizabeth after the show. Such an amazing time.
My mom used to sing this song in the late 1930's and early 1940's as a part time big band singer. The Guy Lombardo Orchestra offered her a full time gig back then.
Amazing voice. One has to be very confident to make that initial attack. This song belongs entirely to the lyrics and the vocalist. Although the clarinetist is incredible. The arrangement and interpretation are stirring and marvelous.
The trumpet at the start actually sounds like it’s crying , wonderful music 👍👍
Give me a scotch, sit me at the bar and play this music all night until the sun starts to think about making a move. Good stuff.
Now, that's the kind of critique I like. Having a nice ruby port right now, and gonna get another.
George & Ira smile down on you guys! Incredible!
Absolutely superb music! Love that clarinet!
I too
love this band
Life is not the same after this 🙏🙏🙏

Видимо она родилась влюльке наполненной нотами...
I like it a lot but whining (at the beginning) is not singing.
А ведь джаз нетерпит посторонних , ни инструментов , не музыкантов...
